The good:Arugala salad was delicious and fresh, honey chicken sandwich was nice and crunchy and came with a huge order of shoestring fries. The meh: pork enchiladas were tasty and a generous amount of cheese was added, but a sloppy soggy mess inside the container that turned the tortilla into mush. The wings were cooked well, but we ordered chipotle honey sauce and got some cheap tasting diner bbq sauce instead. Blackstone is one of my favorite spots. Is located in a great area, it's a friendly environment, Blackstone is a family place where you can bring your whole family (young, old) The food service is great and you don't have to wait long. Visited this bar restaurant for outdoor dining when they had a special seafood menu offering oysters and shrimp. The oysters were very good so I was wishing that they would offer them on the regular. Their drinks and bar food are also impressive. Nice neighborhood gem. read more

Friday night 5:30 PM seating for 7 = no problem (They take reservations if you are concerned) The food and the service were both fine, I had the chicken sandwich with a side salad. I wish they had better drink options. There was no formal drink menu, and they did not have many options on tap; only 1 IPA, 1 pilsner, etc. The did have a happy hour deal for select drinks but it still came out to around $8 for a pint of beer. I really, REALLY want to like this place. I think it's important to support local business and we just moved to the neighborhood. My first review was 3 stars, but now I'm reducing to only 2 stars simply because I can't recommend anything on the menu except for the wings (5 stars hands down) after trying this place 3 times. I should note that we've only done take out here, never been IN the restaurant. A few weeks ago, we ordered wings and the honey butter chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was actually decent, BUT I don't eat dark meat and it's made with dark meat. Usually chicken sandwiches are always white meat so I was annoyed when it came. Nine months pregnant and I only ate french fries for dinner that night so I wasn't happy about that either. Fast forward to tonight. Because I liked that chicken sandwich, I called ahead of ordering and asked if they could make it with white meat. They said no because of the marinade or something. Weird, but ok. So I ordered the wings (again) and pulled pork instead - pretty hard to mess that up. However, the sauce tasted SO WEIRD. I thought maybe it was me and my hormones because I just gave birth 4 days ago, but my husband tried it, too, and also didn't like it. After a third time of ordering meals that I don't like, and most of it overpriced, I've come to decide that this place is really only for the wings. Whenever my husband wants wings, we will just have to get the wings. I can't trust that whatever I order next won't taste weird or be made with some abnormal twist to it. Bummer, but you can't win 'em all, I guess! So, wings are 5 stars and it's probably great to go in and have a beer and wings and watch some football I would imagine...otherwise forget this place. Stopped by on a Sunday to watch some football and enjoy some beer. Great tap selection. Beer was fresh and reasonably priced. Ordered honey chipotle and mild wings which were awesome with a side order of delicious shoestring fries. The best part of it all was the service. An extremely attentive wait staff with a friendly down to earth warm approach. Not once did I have to work for anyone's attention and as soon as my beer was close to done, I was offered another. Great atmosphere, bar area is roomy and plenty of TVs so you can enjoy whatever game is playing. Another plus is they had the game audio playing for the home teams. I love Blackstone and come here regularly. They do fun kitschy, seasonal events, like Oktoberfest, where we got a giant glass beer stein filled with tasty German beer for $7 or so, and we got to keep the glass! The waitresses here are sweet, and work hard to keep the customers happy. The food has been hit or miss. Usually, I get a classic cheeseburger that comes with a huge portion of magical crispy fries. It's a classic pub burger, nice and thick (did I just describe myself??), not like the thin crispy burgers of its nemesis, Yo Burger, across the street. However, I've noticed lately when I ask for pickles on my burger, I see they've switched to using bread and butter pickles, WHICH IS LIKE THE WORST FOOD OFFENSE KNOWN TO MAN. Bread and butter pickles are basically CUCUMBER GARBAGE. Everybody who's anybody knows that. GIVE ME KOSHER DILLS OR GIVE ME DEATH. All caps, guys. This is serious. We generally stick to burgers and beers, but have experimented with a few other items off the menu. The quesadillas and nachos are basic but tasty. All of the salads are fresh in large portions and good to share before a meal. The honey-butter fried chicken is delicious, but the flavor gets overpowered by an overly generous smattering of scallions. And a word of advice: please don't order pastrami here with Liebmann's down the street. read more

Went here with a friend of mine. It wasn't busy because we went on a weekday. The setup of the tables for outdoor dining were according to CDC guidelines. The food at this bar is exquisite. The service is great and you can't beat beer on tap. Sometimes it can get a little crowded with weirdos and or a ghetto crowd depending on day of the week. This place recently opened up and I must say their food is delicious! I had the house roasted turkey BLT and it was great. The turkey was thick (not sliced deli turkey), the bacon was crisp and their chipotle mayo actually had spice. I've been here several times, and generally, I've been satisfied. However, the service can be a little slow, and the drink selection is albeit limited. In addition, our waitress' knowledge of the available drinks was limited. The food is good - I highly recommend the stuffed cheeseburger and the honey butter fried chicken sandwich. Good local to grab a pint (or three) and catch a few innings of whatever game is one. Wings are spot on as are fries and burgers. One negative to point out is that the music can be a bit schizophrenic - whimsically shifting from classic rock and/or 90's/80's/00's pop to significantly louder dance club-type music, and back again. Think it might be a function of the juke box crowding out the house tunes, but either way it creates causes a bit of a disjointed experience at times. read more

It's a neighborhood Sports Bar go to place, that says it all. I have usually had either their blue burger, which they do well or their wings which are also pretty decent. I really liked their nachos however as well as their 5 cheese macaroni. All of their dishes are flavorful without being overly salted or greasy. I do wish they had more of a draft beer selection, but other than that, as long as you don't mind the noise, it's all good read more

If you're into sports bars, this is a good place in the BX. It was my second time last night and we watched both the Yankees game and the Eastern Conference Finals. Good atmosphere. But our server was forgetful and her customer service was average at best. Some if the folks are townies, but that doesn't bother me either way.
