Two stars honestly feels too high but man, the service was bad, the food was bad, this was just a terrible experience. We came in to celebrate a new job. Started with the sampler platter - the artichoke cheesecake was the one tasty thing of the whole meal. The coconut shrimp were too sweet and the hummus was bland. I had the Cajun pasta which was flavorful but just a pool of oil at the bottom. My husband had the steak divine which was inedible. The drinks were a disappointment too. Our server checked on us never and we had to have someone find her to eventually pay the check. To boot, we spent $130 on this terribly disappointing meal. read more

I LOVE this quaint little restaurant in a converted old home. We stopped here on our way from Seaside to Pensecola. Such a gem! We enjoyed Sunday brunch. My daughter loved her BLT on Ciabatta. She subbed the fried green tomatoes for regular but still enjoyed it. My husband ordered the crab cake Benedict. One of his poached eggs came out with a solid yolk and before we could even ask, the waiter brought out two fresh, perfectly cooked eggs. The crab cakes were a little thin but still tasty. Made a trip to Milton on 9/25 and decided to stop in to this place because it was in downtown and rated 4 stars. This was our first time visiting and the ambiance was nice, you can see they support military. The staff were pleasant but there was only two servers. I ordered a muffuletta and soup of the day which was pumpkin with andouille. The sandwich was 10/10 while the soup was more 1/10. The others I dined with both ordered the bistro Philly. The Phillys arrived to the table late and looked burnt. After about 2-3 bites both of them deemed them inedible and we had to order replacements to go. Overall experience wasn't very great but may give them another try while returning to the area. read more

The Benedict was under seasoned and the thick. grit cake overwhelmed the entire dish. The omelet and grits both required a great deal of salt to have any real flavor. The venue is unsuspecting from the parking lot at the rear, which is where GPS sent us. Walking through the parking lot to the front, we passed outdoor dining which was surprisingly full for such a scorcher of a day. We sat at the bar during what we were warned could be a 25 minute wait - turned out to be only 15. Not until being seated did we learn brunch was only served Sunday. It was a Saturday. I ordered Creole shrimp and grouper with grits, which satisfied the brunch craving -especially when served with a Bushwacker. The delivery of my frozen bevy turned heads and caused multiple patrons to order the same. One little guy who pointed at mine was disappointed to find they offered no "virgin" option. The food surprisingly was very tastful although surprisingly very overpriced considering its was in Milton fl. The service was fast. It was very loud and crowded as it is more of a locals family hangout and not really for the traveling through tourist. The only drawback was. We ordered a bottle of red wine for the table as my wife. And I like to share. We decided to have one glass each and asked if we could cap the bottle and bring the rest back to our hotel as we were just traveling through, we were not from the area. We were promptly told no and that's from the state of Florida. Such a cute little place! We came here to grab a bite to eat and ended up staying longer to listen to the live music and grab some drinks. We were excited to try this place after reading other yelps. The hostess sat us outside and then forgot she sat us out there, so no one ever came until I got up asked if we needed to sit inside. The service we then received was very friendly. The drinks were pretty good. My husband had the grits, they were flavorful. I had a chicken salad, it had great flavor, but also some wilted lettuce. Have been here several times and the food has been very good every time. Wife and I always get sweet potato fries with our meal because it's the only place where they stay crispy regardless of how long they're on your plate. I've had the black and bleu burger at least twice and it's been great. We also have had the Cajun pasta and loved it. The service has always been good. The building is a very old building with a lot of history for the town, and you can see several pieces and plaques with information. There is nice covered outdoor dining as well. Environment is calm and comfortable. They do have a band playing there on some evenings. read more

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary here and what a fantastic experience! My husband called in the early morning and spoke with Jennifer, the Manager.  She was able to arrange a table with Champagne and Flowers (The Purple Tulip Florist) to make it a perfect moment for us. We started off with their coconut shrimp and fried artichoke hearts...both were delicious and highly recommended.  For dinner we ordered the Ahi Tuna which was cooked to perfection and the Creole Grouper with Shrimp.  For sides we had the broccoli, Sweet Potato Waffle Fries (out of this world), green beans and the Gouda Grits (that were legit)! To round off our evening we had to try their chocolate cake!  Totally yummy!  Lizzie, our server, made our evening extra special by being very prompt but not rushing us either.  Keeping our drinks topped-off and providing fantastic service. If I could rate this place negative stars I would. While we have heard the food is good, I highly doubt it is worth dealing with the horrible service & incredibly rude staff. We visited today. Got there around 11:50. They had every single large table open in the gravel & multiple 4 tops open on the porch. The inside did seem busy but we were asking to sit outside. The hostess tells me they can't sit anyone outside due to a storm rolling in as it's sunny & clear outside. The storm was supposed to come in at 2! She then tells me it will be 15 minutes for an inside table, I ask if we can just sit separately at the two 4 top tables on the porch and she says they can't because it takes up their small tables- if we had come in as two separate groups of 4 and asked to sit near each other outside would that have been better? We then waited for 30+ minutes for her to tell us the table still is not open, sit a couple of two at the 8 top tables outside & then tell me that there was a party (that had literally walked up about 20 minutes after us) in front of us for the 6 top table inside. I told her that I looked at the list to see how many were in front of us & all names had been scratched off when we got there. She tells me she will grab the manager- never did & agreed to sit us in the gravel. Needless to say, we did not give our business to these people & despite wanting to try the food & enjoying the environment, we likely never will give our business to these people. We drove a little ways to get there, and it said live music, but the live music was only inside.
