I love Blake's food, but whoever at corporate thought it was a good idea to farm out telephone ordering to someone in a foreign country needs to be fired. They didn't speak clear English and had no idea what a chicken tenders boat is. which brings me question number one. They really did t care about my order. They liked the locals but not the people traveling. I did t see my jalapeños so I asked for them. The lady had finely chopped the Pepper's and put them between two patties with cheese. She opened it up and sure enough there were green specks. First off and foremost I hope this review is taken by the employees that work there to work on themselves and just know that the quality of work there is just unacceptable. Maybe they can turn it around and have some pride in their work but I have just watched that place slowly deteriorate to become one of the worst places to eat in Moriarty, I understand that there was a pandemic but even before then the quality of service was just very sub par. The employees would unplug the phones to not answer calls, they would state wait times would exceed 45 minutes, and the actual establishment would be filthy. Listen I know fast food sucks but you don't need to let the world know that your job sucks. The decision making is also very questionable, they would rather have a line wrap around the building then open up two registers and split customers up into who has already ordered and ones that just walked in. It would probably save them some time and not have so many angry customers. The food is the only saving grace but when service is that bad and you have to wait 45 minutes for a burger it really loses the flavor and leaves you wondering why did I even bother. Blake's used to be the highlight of this town when it came to getting a great burger fast and simple, now that is just a very distant memory. Staff needs training on how to handle it when its busy. Waiting 45 minutes for one burger while call after came came in for call in orders. Wow. This place serves a great GC cheese burger, but the service has declined tremendously over the last several years. This evening's service was particularly unfriendly, especially from Audrey, a young, seemingly-mute girl with a blank stare, who was so short with my family when taking our order, we considered leaving. Had we not been familiar with the delicious food and looking so forward to our meal, McDonalds down the road would have been a better choice for their service alone. Stopped in during a drive to get a biscochito shake they were advertising. We were told they were unloading their truck and they'd have the stuff in a while. We continued on our drive and stopped back in. My boyfriend went to use the restroom and I waited. Thank he same lady who was at the register acknowledged us and knew why we were there. Another person started our order and told us they were out. Why would she knowingly stand there, look at us, acknowledge us and not say a word knowing why we were there. Horrible customer service. Once again our order was screwed up. My husband even handed the cashier the order written on a piece of paper and when he got home the order was again wrong. I order my burger with cheese and bacon only. I don't like their soggy vegetables and green chile does not agree with me. I have condiments at home and prefer to use them. But I don't have to explain why I order my food that way just that it seems no matter what you say or do the end result is different than what you ordered. A couple of weeks ago I ordered this and it was plain but missing the bacon we paid for , said nothing. Last week it appears they lobbed on as much green chile as would fit on the bun and I ended up scraping it off along with most of the cheese. Today my burger had everything on it including the soggy weird looking pink tomatoes and drippy lettuce and a ton of onions. Called Blake's and complained. I sent my husband with the order written which he said he handed to the cashier and she read it back to him . Add to that the bun was cold hard and obviously not toasted and you realize it's time to complain and just stop eating there. We also got a small fry and small onion ring even though we paid for a large. Aside from picking my food apart before leaving it's more of a hassle to eat here than it's worth.
