Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, with Potato Salad & BBQ Beans

As a huge BBQ fan, I can confidently say Blake's hits the mark. The Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor...the scent of the wood-fire really comes through. Their BBQ sauce is hands-down the best I've ever tasted at any restaurant. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Blake's is an amazing catering company also. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely return to try more of the menu!

I came for the 30th year celebration. Today they were giving a t shirt to the first 30 customers. I wore my Beast shirt that I won for doing their challenge. I ended up ordering the three meat plate brisket, turkey and pulled pork. The turkey was juicy, brisket passed the fold testand was delicious. The pulled pork was also delicious. None of the meats was over sauced. I pay for the meat and not sauce. If you use to much sauce you're trying to cover up bad BBQ. The BBQ here is perfect.

Blake's place is a great. The food is always on point with so many good options. The staff works so well as a team they are always so nice and friendly. The prices are very reasonable which is a plus.

I'm not the most critical person when it comes to American BBQ, only because I didn't grow up eating it often. So when it comes to the sauce, I never really know what I'm looking for. But my family came here for my dad's birthday and it was great! LOCATION - located in a business center, there's the restaurant, and there are their corporate offices. You'll easily be able to spot out the restaurant part. They do have an open patio that does allow dogs. I was a little worried because it looked like it was part of the indoor portion, but I checked with the staff first and was able to bring in our pup. Parking in plentiful, so no worries there. SERVICE - Really friendly and helpful people! Each single person. You order at the counter then they bring you your food to the table. We're a party of 6 so wanted to figure out how to get what we all wanted without an abundance of food, so the lady at the counter helped us so politely. Didn't make us feel bad at all for not really being 100% ready when we approached the counter. The guy who delivered our food was quirky and super nice! AMBIANCE - Very casual feel. I feel as if when it gets busy, there is a wait, but we did an early dinner so we were good and there was a table for us 6, no problem. FOOD - Everything was pretty good! Again, I'm no BBQ-snob. But we all really liked their BBQ sauce because it wasn't too vinegar-y and didn't punch you in the face. It was so good my dad ended up buying a bottle! Their mac n cheese was my favorite side dish and their brisket was delicious! The only thing I noticed was their baby back ribs and spare ribs wasn't as tender, so you do have to work for it. But other than that, great! PRICE - Price point for this place was actually pretty decent. No complaints, especially in this economy.

The bakers dip was fantastic. The environment was relaxing. The food was great. You can't go wrong with the bbq. Great service. The prices are reasonable. Between $10 and $20 per plate. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.

FIVE STARS, hands down!! We've been coming here for 20 years and I'm finally writing a review! This place is a hidden gem, just south of the city of Placentia in east Anaheim. They smoke their high quality meats on property. So good you don't even need sauce but they have spicy and regular and you can buy a bottle of sauce to take home. Order at the window and server brings food to your table. Everyone is really nice here. Very clean. Never, ever had a bad meal. My only complaint is I wish they had baked potatoes. The company my husband works for has had them cater several times. Everyone raved about how great the food was.

Over the top service is always love the place. It's quaint and the food is just ridiculously good. I go every Wednesday for the smoked hamburger picture. Say 1000 words I've been getting it with their beans. Their beans are incredible. #PhenomenalLunch.

Found this place for lunch. We ordered from the front counter with the menu overhead. Got our drinks and grabbed a seat. Nothing flash about this place. Just the way I like it. It smelled great inside. And was organized, clean and not loud at all. Staff brought the food. And yall it was delicious. The meats were juicy and hot. Cooked to perfection. Mac ans cheese was saucy and delicious and the salad. Very nicely done. So if your looking for a great BBQ place for a quick lunch. Highly suggest it.

Work brought in Blake's catering for lunch! How cool is that?! Everything was great, but that sliced brisket was amazing!

This was our first Easter in over twenty years that we had no plans. A friend told us about an Easter special Blake's was offering called The Hungry Bunny for I think $130 and so we ordered it. The meal included smoked turkey breast, smoked ham, green beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, fruit, green salad with two dressings, and bread & butter. My family (two adults, two teenagers) got two full meals out of it! Everything was great, but the turkey and gravy were real standouts. I am normally not a fan of smoked poultry, but that smoked turkey was incredibly good! I was a little sad that we didn't order extra. The turkey gravy was also delicious. I think we might make Blake's a new tradition for when we don't have holiday plans. I really appreciated the employees giving up their Easter morning so we could enjoy a stress free meal. Blake's also catered a lunch at my work this week, too! How funny is that?! At work they bought sliced brisket, ribs, kielbasa sausage, mashed potatoes & brown gravy, Mac & cheese, little corns on cobs, Caesar salad, and bread & butter. Oh my gosh, the sliced brisket was AMAZING!! Everyone was raving about it. The sweet yellow corn was so good with butter and salt. I'm normally not a fan of ribs, but these were very good. I loved the Caesar dressing! I didn't know before that Blake's does catering, but they were really great. They included plates, napkins, flatware, salt & pepper packets, and even individual packets of wet wipes - super helpful after chomping on ribs and buttery corn of the cob. I hope we can get it for lunch again soon! They have such great food and I'm glad I was able to have them twice in the same week!

Since it's tucked away in a residential area, I can imagine parking gets pretty tough if you aren't as lucky as we were. The line was long (it stretched out to the street!), but it moved surprisingly quickly. There are actually two lines, one for food and another just for drinks. There were five of us, so we ordered the 6 meats & 6 sides, and it was PLENTY of food. We got the brisket, tri-tip, burnt ends, beef ribs (Sunday only!), siu yuk, and sausage links. For sides, we chose the cornbread, shells & cheese (which was actually cavatappi lol), sesame slaw, spicy cucumbers, tallow fries, and pandan pudding. We also couldn't pass up the new tallow churros with ube dip, plus a pitcher of sangria for the table. Honestly, everything was absolutely delicious. I could write a paragraph about each dish, but this review would never end LOL. There's plenty of seating in the back, though the teepees were definitely the most sought-after spots. Considering the crowd though, I would send someone to save your group a spot while you wait in line. There's bar seating, picnic tables, high tables, etc. I also loved that Junbi is in the same compound if you're craving a sweet drink afterward. Can't rave about this place enough. The food coma nap that hit afterward was absolutely worth it.

When we walked in, there wasn't a host or greeter at the front stand. Instead, the bartender YELLED across the restaurant TWICE to get our attention and then yelled at us again for us to "sit anywhere". I wanted to sit outside to enjoy the summer weather, but after seeing the lack of staff, we sat in direct view of the front desk and general path of travel. Even then we had to repeatedly ask for our drinks. Service was slow, disorganized and the staff just walked around without urgency. I'd love to say the food made it better, but that wasn't the case. The smoked rib tips arrived so dry that they were practically beef jerky. They tasted like they had been reheated in a microwave. Our son ordered wings with buffalo sauce and they came out bone dry without the sauce. We alerted a random waitress because ours was nowhere to be found and she took them back to be coated. It literally took 20 minutes to have them back. I mean, what the heck are the kitchen people doing?!! Lastly, they no longer serve potato salad.... I loved their potato salad! Ugh! Safe to say we will not be returning...ever!

Menu was straightforward but could benefit from having a description in case you're not familiar (like my BF). * Service: the reason I'm docking by 1 star. We also got one chicken skewer & one pork skewer, which was a bit smaller than I'm used to but the smoky flavor & tenderness was spot on. My only issue was the portion compared to the price. * Final Thoughts: mom/pop Filipino food that is great on flavor but leaves something to be desired with customer service. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. When I order from a BBQ restaurant, especially when I'm paying BBQ prices, I expect the brisket to be the standout item. Good brisket should be tender, juicy, flavorful, and have that rich smoky taste that comes from being cooked low and slow. Sadly, that wasn't my experience at all. The brisket I received was dry, tough, and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. Instead of being easy to pull apart or melt-in-your-mouth tender, it was chewy and difficult to eat. The seasoning and smoke flavor were also underwhelming, making the meat feel even more disappointing. As someone who specifically ordered brisket because it's usually the star of any BBQ menu, I was surprised by how far it fell short of expectations. I understand that delivery can sometimes affect food quality, but since the food arrived hot, I don't think temperature was the issue here. The problem was simply the quality and preparation of the brisket itself. Based on my experience, I would recommend that others skip the brisket. There are plenty of BBQ places that do brisket exceptionally well, and unfortunately this wasn't one of them. I was really looking forward to this meal and ended up disappointed. I can't see myself ordering the brisket again.
