Enjoyed dinner with friends this evening at Blanc... our first time and it will definitely not be our last. The quality of food in conjunction with the expertise of the chef left us speechless. My daughter had the Escargot, she said it was just as she remembered it in France. This was probably one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! From the service, to the food everything was perfect! We started with their French onion soup and burrata! Both to die for. Then we got the Berkshire pork chop and the filet with the largest most lobster tasting shrimp I have ever eaten! Visited 10/26. Our four entries came out at 4 different times, approx 15 minutes apart. Needless to say, the first dish to arrive was cold by the time our party was served. Another entree sent back for being over cooked so the restaurant fixed it by serving a replacement dish with a raw entree. Between the cost and service, not worth visiting. read more

OMG Sooo good! Best fish I've had in a long time, no joke. Skin had a crispy buttery sear atop a creamy cheese pancetta risottos ginger... a painting, beautiful! Presentation, service food were all excellent. Don't get a lot of this around! Each dish was a surprise of color and flavor. Thank You! Thank y'all for making my night very special. New visit, still amazing. Calamari, again, some of the best I've had. This place is always an adventure... beautifully presented with layers of flavor. A true gem! Son had escargot, French Onion soup ( he said was amazing), and the crispy skin fish with risotto. OMG the risotto I had a chop topped with an onion peach/apricot reduction sauce of some kind, with decadent truffle mashed potatoes. Slide under the table good!! This food is prepared with care and attention. Delicate flavors, perfectly fired meats, wide array of vegetables and unique flavors. I've had almost every dish so far, and everything is delicious. The wine list by the glass is excellently curated. To top it off, Jean Claude, the owner/chef, is a cool dude that doesn't take himself too seriously. Willing to entertain with the occasional magic trick, while providing an amazing birthday dinner experience. This restaurant is such a joy to go to, I count the days until I can return. Blanc still delivers wonderful French onion soup, salads, meat and fish small plates, along with main course specials. The menu has not changed substantially but is consistently prepared. The dining room is small and quite noisy, so beware. A recent dining shock was the $64 pork chop! I have had main course specials previously, but at almost half the price. Shame on us for not asking the price, which was not listed or volunteered by our waiter. However, it was the most amazing pork chop I've ever had, and the sauce was outstanding! Blanc was absolute magic! I don't say this only because the chef and owner is a magician and showed us some of his tricks, but also because the food and ambiance were amazing! The restaurant is pretty small so you should make a reservation if possible! There was a large party in the restaurant the night we went so we sat at the bar. From there we could closely see the open kitchen. It is pretty cool to look at, there was only 2 people plus the chef working hard and quietly to prepare the amazing dishes. We had the tuna special for starter which was served in little cones. I had the duck as my entrée and my husband had the wagyu sliders. Everything was super tasty. We will be back soon! read more

The food was good, but not excellent like I was expecting after reading the reviews. The service was not great. I think she was trying but that makes it even more sad. The entire place was covered in two inches of dust, the ceiling fixtures, weird and old decor, and don't get me started on the bathroom. I was planning my vacation to celebrate my Husband's 50th with our friends and family and wanted something "different". Boy did we get it! Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Ft. Myers. I contacted Blanc in advance to reserve our dinner and Lori was so accommodating. The service is unmatched. The staff genuinely cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing and we're still talking about it. Everyone in our party was oohing and aahing at everything we tasted and of course it melted in our mouths. The guests next to us were super welcoming and the atmosphere was divine. Chef Jean-Claude was so personable and warming. You better believe the next time I'm in the area, Blanc is my first stop. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in SW Florida. Enjoyed dinner last Saturday evening with excellent service from Tad. The onion soup was superb, rich and cheesey. The oysters are a must, especially the Rockerfeller. I ordered the chicken confit which did not disappoint. My friend had the grouper tropical, also excellent. On my last visit I spoke with the owner concerning his use of paper napkins which I think is a mistake. Linen would really complement the experience. Sitting at the counter I always enjoy watching ChiChi and Anna cook. Great wine list so don't bring your own, the $30 corkage fee is a real deterrent. My only disappointment was the condition of the mens room. It really needs a good deep-cleaning. read more

Absolutely incredible! My husband took me here for my birthday and we left wishing we had discovered this place much sooner. We came at the time of our reservation but were seated at the bar to wait until our table was available. We were given drink menus and informed that they do not have their liquor license so their drinks are liqeuer based. So the drinks were slightly sweeter than a typical cocktail but were delicious! I never would've known. After a few minutes we were seated at a table butted up right against another couple which made it feel more authentically European. It was then that we realized just how tiny the restaurant was. Prior to that the mirrors on the wall made it seem much larger. We loved being able to see chef Jean Claude and his team at work in the kitchen. He was such a joy to watch since it was clear that he loves what he does and is incredibly gifted at it. Our waiter was extremely personable and professional and only added to our positive experience. He even gave me the recipe of our favorite dish of the night: the Brussels sprouts. The food is tapas style which lends itself perfectly to groups/couples who want to share. They also had a few larger dishes to chose from as well. Everything we ordered was absolutely perfect! Some of our favorites were the tuna cones, artichoke fritters, and of course the Brussel sprouts. I HIGHLY recommend that you make a reservation and try this place. Recent change in ownership has resulted in a major drop in the quality of signature entrees and other menu items. The, former owner, Paul, was an exceptional chef with the skill to create 5-star dishes. Our most recent visit on April 4th, 2024 was extremely dissapointing. Our bill (son & dad) totalled over a $100 dollars for one main course, which we shared, two appetizers, two beers, and one side. The entree, lamb chops, ordered rare, were served as close to well done as we know it! The calamari appettizer was what you would be served by a chain seafood restaurant. Hopefully, the new owners will respond to reviews since their acquisition. Reviews, mine included, prior to the ownership, mean nothing! read more

This was our favorite place in Ft Myers until last night. It was our Christmas tradition. They may tell you it's the same with new owners, but that's not what we experienced. Gone were the potato straws and perfectly cooked meat. Plate garnishes were what made this a special place. The great onion soup was also gone. Five of the six meats were medium well in place of the medium rare we ordered. For the price, this was inexcusable. The highlight of the night was our waitress. She was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I can't believe she'll stay there much longer. read more

Pork chop special $60, small fish dish which was an entree but sized as an appetizer was $25. No vegetarian options other than ordering a bunch of sides (salad, Brussel sprouts and potato au gratin.) This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Southwest Florida, in fact, it is the best restaurant I've been anywhere in Florida, and anywhere else for many years. The food is spectacular, you quite honestly cannot go wrong. The service is fantastic, and the owners, Lori, and Jean Claude, are seriously passionate about their restaurant. We make a point of coming here two or three times a month. My favorite thing to do is just ask Jean Claude to bring us a couple of appetizers and a couple of entrées, always tremendous. In fact, we are outside the restaurant right now, sitting on a bench, waiting for it to open. It will be a great culinary experience, as always. read more

I had a reservation and upon arrival, the woman who seated us wanted to put us next to a very noisy table even though the rest of the restaurant was empty. I asked if we could sit two tables down as there was plenty of space, and the woman rolled her eyes, sighed, and hesitantly complied without a word but with plenty of bad attitude. She then slammed the menus down on the table rather than handing them to us. One of the chefs, a man with a long ponytail and glasses, frequently touched took his phone out of his pocket and used it with the same gloves he was using for handling food and fresh greens. He never changed those gloves, and he even went on to shake the hand of a woman at another table while wearing those same black gloves. It's disappointing, because the server we had was very friendly and the food was great. Despite that, however, I will not return. I do not appreciate an unsanitary, unfriendly establishment. We had the most smug waiter I've ever had... you know the kind of person who is too familiar and thinks that your serving him - oy vey. I started with the pear and pecan salad that was a generous size and was drizzled with a delicious vinaigrette and had candied pecans and gorgonzola. For dinner I had the tropical grouper that the restaurant calls an almost entree. It was amazing, but for $24 dollars it should have been bigger than an appetizer. My wife had the pork chop and it was spectacular with the most delicious glaze and fruit - but who charges $60 dollars for a pork chop? Overall a decent experience, but I won't go back. read more

Same building and menu different owners. Paid $60 for two very overcooked pork chops. Asked for 2 prawns for an appetizer and got charged $54 when they have them on the menu for $28. This is NOT the same level of food quality but the same great wait staff. Had intentions to book over the holidays and decided to skip. The previous owner would watch peoples faces when they took their first bit and could tell if they were satisfied. The new owner doesn't that kind if tenure or experience. Everyone was also complaining about the level of cooking smoke and how everyone smelled like the restaurant, poor ventilation. read more

Both entrees smaller than in the past but that was ok. But..both items were luke warm. Steak ordered medium but came well done and both prawns and sole were dry. Waited 20 to 25 minutes to get check. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Florida. The atmosphere is perfect for a small birthday dinner or a romantic date. The food is always prepared exactly as stated on the menu and the ingredients are consistently of the highest quality. The steaks are seared to perfection and the escargot reminds me of my visits to Paris. The prawns are fresh and the potatoes are perfectly creamy. If you have a specific food need, the staff and chef are happy to accommodate. They are also experts at pairing wine. The attention to detail with the artwork, menu, and wine selection is superb. I would highly recommend you make reservations and plan on enjoying a glass or two of wine. read more
