Amazing service. There were only 2 waiters & there was never any wait or issue with refills. They were both so welcoming & always helpful. The food was very good and the vibe was so welcoming & fun. We will definitely return again once we come back to SA.

I love Blanco Cafe. It is the epitome of good Mexican food. I had the Fidel with carne guisada and it was delicious!! It looked like it was going to be greasy but wasn't. I also ordered a chalupa after I ate and it was out in minutes. I sat at the counter and it was great. If you want good goo and fast service come here!!

What happened Blanco cafe? Their taco's used to be full. Been a lover of blanco cafe for so many years. But my tacos look like they are on a diet. Or have been for quite sometime and they lost a lot of weight. Service is great. Everyone is very nice. Place is still the same ole spot. Homey and comfy place inside. Just the taco quality took a hit.

Food is always hot and delicious! Go to plate is the cheese enchiladas. Fresh tortillas with butter! Carne Guisada is also very delicious. Server is always friendly. Very popular in a cute location.

They line these seats up outside when it's full inside and you have to wait for a table (or your to-go order)

We usually go here for dinner, but today we went for breakfast. It's the classic hole in the wall with amazing, quick, inexpensive food. My $3 taco was huge. I might be skipping lunch.

When I'm looking for classic San Antonio enchiladas, this is my go-to spot. Every time I've been, they are SLAMMED with a line out the door, but the food always comes out super quick and piping hot. I haven't tried anything other than their cheese enchiladas, but why would I?! This is what they're famous for. I love that it feels like a diner and the ladies working are always so so nice to me. Next time I have out-of-town friends visiting, I want to take them here for the experience!

Wowowow this place is great, popped in bc our car was charging across the street and what a great find. The portions are huge, the staff is SO friendly, the food was amazing. We got the enchiladas verdes, tangy tomatillo sauce, big portion, the barbacoa taco- these tacos are BIG and excellent! The chilaquiles and the egg taco, also fabulous! Would recommend!

Went for Sunday morning breakfast. Only had to wait 20 mins or so and we had 6. Place was packed with a line outside. Nice people working there. Nice old building with raised ceilings inside. coffee good. I got megas plate. delicious beans and flour tortillas. Megas were just eggs and chips. They need to add some peppers and onions. The wife got the barbacoa plate. Very good and a lot. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day.

I had lunch here the other day. Very nice place tucked away in an old part of SA. Very good food, fast service and a friendly staff. Almost reminds me of Gilbert's on the other side of town. I will definitely come back.

It was probably our most favorite place that we ate while in San Antonio. The ambiance was great, beautifully decorated restaurant with great service. The cocktails were delicious so we had a few. Y'know it's impossible to find street parking especially on the weekends normally. I had made reservations to meet some friends here for brunch/lunch 1145 am on a Sunday. This place is bigger than it looks! There's seating at the main building, plus a huge outdoor patio seating area, and an entire other building beautifully decorated. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and our server was excellent. We were seated in the other building near the windows. The menu wasn't huge, but just right with a few lunch and brunch items. After debating for a while of what to order, I decided on the Texas Gulf Shrimp plate. Agua Fresca of the day per our server was strawberry pineapple. Our server was able to water mine down slightly- since it was very sweet, but love knowing that it was freshly made. Complimentary chips and salsa always a plus, and we were able to order some spicy salsa to accompany at no charge. My shrimp plate was delicious! 2 skewers of nicely cooked and seasoned shrimp atop salsa with perfectly cooked cilantro rice and a fresh leaf salad. A half slices avocado accompanied my plate. Oh how I love avocados. I thoroughly enjoyed my plate. The chicken al carbon was also a good choice - half a chicken that was juicy, not dry. The avocado toast was beautiful and the pecan salsa was quite interesting. The female performers during our brunch in the room, made it very hard for all of us to have conversations. The volume echoed loudly in the room, so it was very hard to speak and understand each other. Although a great idea, maybe outdoor patio area might be more suitable. Beautiful space, great service, good food.

Both my wife and I ordered breakfast plates--hers was the chorizo and egg and mine, huevos rancheros. The restaurant was empty besides one diner sitting outside with her dog and one family inside which should have been a red flag to stay away. My chorizo and potatoes were cold and my beans were not hot either. This was not like it had cooled down--cold. The ranchero sauce looked bad and all of the food on my plate had no flavor, no seasoning, literally no effort whatsoever. I had a bug crawl across my hand while we were there as well. She had the issue with her plate, food was not even warm. The tortillas were hot and tasted good so that was how I warmed up my food. Our waiter also decided that he would cross the street to go speak to a woman at the little outdoor patio restaurant across the street on the corner. Not kidding, he was there for at least five or ten minutes just talking to her. I have always wanted to try Tito's and wanted something new to us but I guarantee there is no way we will ever go back. We left hungry, disappointed and embarrassed by what we just went through.

If you're looking for authentic, homemade-style Mexican food, this may not be exactly that. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. The drinks were definitely generous with the alcohol, which we appreciated. However, my piña colada was not quite what I expected. It had more of a milky consistency rather than the icy, blended texture I usually associate with a piña colada. As for the food, it was decent but nothing particularly memorable. I was especially looking forward to the paella, but unfortunately the rice tasted a bit sour, which was disappointing. Overall, the service and atmosphere were the highlights of the experience, while the food left some room for improvement.
