This is going to sound silly but I really didn't want to like this place given its history but it's a very solid matcha for the price! Finding a good matcha spot in the city is unfortunately difficult so it's nice to have blank street and so many locations of it! Staff is friendly too which I appreciate!

Never had chocolate oat matcha and ordered one--it was so so good. I cannot wait to get another one soon. This cafe has a few seats and is a good place to rest during a busy day

Got an iced pistachio latte. Tasty and the price was okay! Quick service. Pretty good :) I liked the straw colour

    Iced Daydream Matcha Latte

I ordered the iced daydream matcha latte that was a part of their fall menu choices. It had vanilla, honey, cinnamon, and other spices in the drink. I thought it would taste flavorful with all these different times of syrups, but it ended up tasting like water? I was a bit confused because I don't think I tasted any matcha either...just milk and water. I was a bit disappointment in my selection because I would've gave something else a try. The staff were somewhat friendly as well. Just a normal interaction and nothing above standards. Ambiance was very cute though with the interior. Very busy with lots of people ordering to-go. I popped in here today to try their summer specialty, the mango passionfruit matcha, and all I can say is, I'm impressed! I was somewhat expecting something sweeter, but the base of it was a smoothie consistency, made with real fruit instead of artificial ingredients. Whenever I've ordered something flavored from say Starbucks, it's always too sweet and artificial tasting. But this was perfect! Just what I wanted. If you get the chance to try this, do it!

Blank Street Coffee 1173 Lexington has been open a couple months. First off the dogs are allowed which in the small space is a nuisance. It's especially annoying when it's a big dog. They cater to dog owners. Second they don't have anywhere to sit. Nor do they have a place for you to fix your coffee. I asked for a stirrer and they didn't have any! I prepared my coffee and went to the church courtyard nearby. The coffee is good but nothing about it strikes me as that enticing to get me to return frequently. Today I hadn't had my coffee by almost 8:30am so this was as good as any. Although the employees were nice I won't be back to this location. Besides they don't take cash either. I hate to charge small amounts to my credit card. The pastries are typical and expensive for me. I'm sure the people in the neighborhood will support this place. Especially the dog owners!

Nice neighborhood coffee shop. It's more of an "on the go" coffee shop, as there are no seats or tables inside. Also, note it is a smaller shop--so people often have to wait outside if there are more than 3 customers inside. Very friendly baristas and amazing pastries (the almond croissant is amazing!). The coffee is good, and provides a great flavor profile (once brewed correctly). If you're in the area, I'd recommend giving it a try. It's usually my go to coffee shop.

Went here for a quick bite before the MET, I got a hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant. Both were fine, the croissant was kind of dry and I wish they warmed it up but the hot chocolate was good, rich and creamy. Service was quick but note that the place is pretty small with only 2 benches outside to sit. Overall pretty solid for a quick bite or drink.

Cappuccinos are good. First thing I taste Is too milky, followed by nice strong smooth espresso. Croissants are good. I wish they had some outdoor seating as it's nice to linger for a bit when sipping coffee. May return

Nice staff. The coffee isn't great, it's trying to be quality espresso but just tastes burnt.

Just opened. Solid coffee. Good place to grab a drink to go. They use compostable lids rather than plastic. Small win. Will be back!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
