Good. If I had to use one word to describe my most recent visit to Blaze Pizza, it would NOT be the word 'good'. It wouldn't even be 'passable'. My most recent experience at Blaze Pizza was TERRIBLE at best. So, I went in there with a friend and asked the pizza-making employee to change her gloves since my friend is vegetarian and wouldn't like cross-contamination with meat products. She told me: "We change our gloves for every customer at Blaze Pizza". Well, apparently, my request fell on deaf ears, and she just brazenly built the pizza with the SAME gloves that she used for the previous customer! Not wishing to end up on YouTube as THAT guy, I decided to say nothing and told my friend that the fire should hopefully burn out any cross-contamination. We then decided to eat. When we opened the box, the cherry tomatoes were all huddled in the middle, as if they were gathered together to listen to a speech on how boring the pizza looked and tasted. As a matter of fact, the pizza was so undercooked and runny it could easily give Eggs Benedict a run for its money! To actually eat it, we had to heat up our oven and then recook the pizza at home; much like a frozen pizza. All in all, in my opinion, Blaze Pizza's quality and customer service is now drastically reduced as opposed to a few months ago when I first visited. Such a rapid decline in key metrics leads me to believe that the furnace will shortly run cold if trends continue on their negative course. Maybe Blaze Pizza can ask advice from the huddled mass of cherry tomatoes in my box of runny, undercooked pizza. I rate this place in its current state as: Zero Cherry Tomatoes. read more

The pizza was very nice. If you are like me and hate thin crust pizza then you will enjoy that you have an option here. The topping options were great and it honestly tasked just like a real traditional pizzeria. I had Pi pizza before and found them to be small and very over priced. I tried them a few times but it just didn't taste all that great to me possibly because I don't like thin pizza. However with Baze you get a nice pizza the way you want it. read more

So yummy ! As someone who needs GLUTEN FREE crust, this is my new go-to pizza spot ! The girl working helped me immediately when I walked in, since I've never been there before. They can create any pizza, with whatever toppings, on the gf crust. The crust Does not taste like cardboard either ! A bit crispy and crunchy, but that's how I like my crust. Meh pizza. Not my favorite food but this my first visit, was to use a bogo coupon my friend had that would have expired today. The order process was weird. As a first time I was looking for options for toppings on the board, they only have specialty pizzas on there. The topping you have to be in front of to see signs. She had never had it before she said. Ah youth. $12 and some change for a pizza and a drink. Glad I had a coupon for bogo because I'm not sure it was worth the $. The boxing part was interesting, the guy took my bbq pie out if the oven boxed it went to grab the second, then said do you want barbecue sauce on the chicken pizza. To which I replied well yeah it's a barbecue chicken pizza. If he wouldn't have caught his error I would have went home with no barbecue sauce! Luckily that crisis was averted. My son whom this purchase was for, loved the create your own I made for him. Mushroom, pepperoni, black olives and red onion. The BBQ chicken he felt was just alright. A bit doughy he said. I agreed as I had a bite of each. Would I go back? No. Just average taste, although fresh. I'm not a fan of this assembly line style, I like Pi craft better for that. This place is pretty cool. It's like a chipotle for pizza, except you pay for all your toppings. I was disappointed in the customer service. No one really explained how it worked or gave any direction. I was a little surprised they charged for the veggies and some smaller topping items. The pizza was made pretty quickly and was REALLY good. We were charged incorrectly and the girl argued with us rather than just getting a manager. It was strange, but food was good so I will definitely give it another try. Tried this place again and service was much better. Also, there is an "all you can add" toppings option. This was a much better experience than the last. The only complaint, at the end, once the pizza is cooked, they have toppings to add to the cooked, finished pizza, such as balsamic, pesto, ranch, etc, they added way too much and it took away from the pizza. Horrible customer service. I waited in line for 15 minutes while the workers ignored us and just did mobile orders, they all had bad attitudes and just stood there and talking to each other. I'm a newer fan of Blaze Pizza. I am a vegetarian, and have been keto since May. My husband is also a keto'tarian, our son is vegetarian, and our daughter is vegan. And it can be tricky for us to find a restaurant we can all enjoy together ... but Blaze Pizza has pizza for all of us!! Vegetarian pizza is easy to find, vegan pizza is becoming more popular--but keto pizza?? That you don't have to make at home for yourself?? That is still a challenge to find when eating out. AND at a place that also has vegetarian AND vegan pizza??!! Now THAT IS RARE!! But Blaze does all of that, and does it well!! Sure, the keto crust is a steep upcharge of $4, making a personal pie run about $15. But in this day and age, $15 for a specialty diet dinner anywhere is actually pretty reasonable. The vegan crust is a $1.50 upcharge, but vegan meat and cheese toppings are no additional cost. Blaze doesn't nickel-and-dime you on the toppings in general, either. When building your pie, you can add as many cheeses, proteins, vegetables, and drizzles as you want to customize your pizza just as you like it. Beyond pizzas, our son really likes the cheesy bread too. For just over $10, he gets the pick-two deal with half a custom pizza and an order of cheesy bread, and he is one happy tween dude. :-D I also really enjoy the Blaze app. I use it to easily order ahead and accumulate points. It is easy to customize your pizza just as you want it on the app. Then when you get to Blaze, your food is hot and ready on the pickup shelves, totally bypassing the line, which is great. It is a challenge to find a restaurant that has keto and vegetarian and vegan options, and all of those things combined--BUT BLAZE DOES IT!! Love Blaze pizza! Probably one of my top 3 pizza places around here. I always get the original dough and then build my own pizza. They have a good selection of topics like ham, sausage, chicken, cheeses, olives, arugula, fresh basil, etc., so the combinations are endless. And the best part is that the price is all the same no matter how many toppings you choose, which is great! I wouldn't recommend putting too many topics on the pizza though since the dough is very very thin and cannot hold more than a few toppings. But it's cheap and only 400 calories, so I guess that makes up for it. Also, note that their pizzas are not really shareable in my opinion. One person can eat most, if not a whole pizza. My only complaint would be that they seem to be a bit understaffed and it takes a pretty long time to get your order even though the pizzas really need to be in the oven for 60-90 seconds (I'm guessing!). read more

An eatery by its very name that brags about its speed and oven-fired pizza sort of falls down when the service falls apart. I've been here during lunch where a crack team processed our pizza order very quickly. And then there was our experience last night when we must have had the stoner crew. We arrived at 7pm. First the wait to place our order. First crew member stared at the dough rolling machine, clearly in a trance. After a 10 minute wait as he waited for space to clear on his work counter, he brought over dough, asked me what I wanted and scribbled down my name on a piece of paper. Then we waited for the second crew member who seemed bogged down by everyone before us. This was prime dinner hour (7pm) and there were only 2 people working the pizza assembly line. When Crew member #2 got my dough, he asked me what I wanted. "Um, meat lovers" I told him. He laughed and said that Crew Member #1 forgot to write anything down. So my pizza gets assembled and popped into the pizza oven - as Blaze brags 180 seconds for a pizza! And we wait. And wait. And wait. Crew member at the finish line, he's slowly cutting the pizzas and listening to a crowd of complaints - mixed up, wrong orders, where's my pizza? I'm missing a pizza. Into this final jam, I stand and wait until I see my pizza join the line. This one lady insisted on a full search for her missing pizza, and as this was the only crew member at the end, we all waited as they backtracked back up the system to find her missing pizza. So how fast was Blaze last night? 34 minutes from order to eats. Not so blazingly fast. The good news is that the pizza was tasty but the lesson learned is that Blaze has its good and bad teams and why wasn't there a manager to expedite last night was a mystery. read more

Since the first moment I stepped into Blaze, I have been obsessed. Everything about it is great, save for the loud music, which could definitely be turned down a few notches. But I digress... My wife is OBSESSED with pizza. Me, not so much. I realized that the reason why I'm meh about it is because I don't like traditional cheese and pepperoni, which seems to be everyone's favorite across the board. I adore that here you can pile your pie high with veggies, cheeses, meats, and different sauces. That they'll finish it with sea salt and pesto and other fun toppings, including more greens as in arugula, my favorite green. Further, I LOVE that the cost is roughly $10 per person. Plus agua fresca beverages?! Umm yes!!!! Blaze is full of creative and potentially healthy food options. Think Chipotle (décor plus beer/wine) meets Subway (ordering process). As this was my first trip, I ordered the Simple Pie (mozzarella, parmesan, red sauce) because I wanted to experience the basic pizza without any additional distractions... and I have to say I was quite pleased. For me, the best parts were the 1) not sweet sauce and 2) thin crust both of which fulfill this downstate boy's basic pizza requirements... adding in the wood fired oven is a bonus. Although I prefer thin crust, it should be noted that there is an option for high crust, too. Pizza comes out fast, fresh, and hot. They have a "Build Your Own" which allows you to add a plethora of toppings for about $2.50 above the cost of the "Simple Pie". There are so many fresh toppings you can chose and you can even direct them as to the exact amount that you want. The prices are affordable, the food comes out quick, and the taste is delicious. It seems with all that going for it, Blaze deserves its due props and shouldn't be knocked down solely because it's a chain. read more

I am so amazed by blaze! - from the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out. I knew I was going to like it here. First, I was hit by the smell of the pizzas. The employees/service was wonderful. They ask if the toppings/sauce they put is enough and if you say no, they will put more. The employees were also extremely friendly and definitely made me feel very welcome. I came here a second time before I had a chance to write my review because it was so good and I wanted it already so soon! In my visits, I ordered the "white top" with added chicken, the "art lover" with added salame, and the "red vine" with added salame, italian sausage, banana peppers, and olives. All of these were soooo good. My favorite so far is the red vine with the added toppings. I will be coming here again for sure. read more

I just had to try this place after watching it being built for some time! The inside looks so clean and neat with the exposed pipes in the ceiling. Upon entering you work your way through the ingredients once you decide if you want a specialty pizza or make your own. The ingredients look fresh and the employees were great. I went with my husband and son and we all built our own pizza. The pizza was good and I'm happy I tried it. We also ordered 3 fountain drinks. The price was about $41 for the 3 of us and I honestly didn't think it was worth that... My husband and I had unsweetened iced tea and had to pour it out because it had a funky taste to it. I was skeptical of trying a pizza restaurant partially owned by a mediocre basketball player. I decided to try it. I was not disappointed. The restaurant/seating: The building is fairly large. There is seating both inside and out. The outside was very nice. The area is so big outside that they have an area where you can play corn hole. Friendly staff and a hard working employee making the pizza. Pizza: You have the option of building your own pizza or choosing one of there signature pizzas. I decided to build my own one topping pizza ( under $10). I went basic and chose pepperoni as the topping. The pizza was made so fast. I would say it took about three minutes even with the place crowded. The taste/quality: I'm very picky on my pizza. Living in buffalo we are spoiled with our great pizza options. Blaze causes a lot of problems for local pizza because there isn't one local place that you can get this good of a pizza for $7. Is blaze the best pizza in buffalo ? Not at all, but it solid. There are plenty of drinks options. I personally enjoyed the lemonade. I really recommend it here. For the price there really isn't a better priced pizza. Try blaze you won't regret it. I really liked the atmosphere and the prompt and friendly service we got here. The staff was truly exceptional, and they all looked like they were pretty happy to be there. They gave us a low-down on how everything worked and how to order. Our pizzas were put together and cooked very quickly, and the price point is pretty great too. You can get a pizza with as many toppings as you want for less than 10 bucks. I did not love the overall flavor of the pizza itself. I tried one of the signature pizzas. It came with red sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, and halved cherry tomatoes. The mozzarella and basil had good flavor, but I was not personally a fan of the sauce, the tomatoes (they weren't ripe enough), or the crust. Also tried their blood orange lemonade, and that was pretty good! On an early Sunday afternoon this place is busier than expected. The line goes all the way to the entryway. However don't let that deceive you. Service is speedy, the staff have a system going that gets you moving down the line. Crust, check in with person 1. Cheese, check in with person 2. Toppings, check in with person 3. Pay. Sit. Wait to be called when your pizza is out of the (brick?) oven and sliced and drizzled with your choice (or not). Price is a little high for a lunchtime quick bite but the flavors and fresh ingredients are worth it if you're not ordering every day. We had one link in (sausage peppers sautéed onions, but switch out the sautéed with fresh sliced onions, add jalapeños) and 2 pick 2 toppings on a high (double thick crust) The double thick has a $2 up charge per pie so what was a reasonable $7-$8 pie now teeters on the cusp of possibly overpriced. The staff there was unfriendly and not very welcoming. They weren't really paying attention and the pizzas we got were either burnt or not fully cooked/luke warm. They also forgot to give me my bread knots and when I asked for the sauce that went with it they said they didn't have anymore sauce... they make pizzas and I can see the sauce so I was super confused. The kid working said there were no sauce cups made up so I couldn't have one. Then I asked him for some ranch for dipping and he didn't understand what I was asking for.
