The pizza is alright, I use to be addicted to blaze because they have a delicious gluten free crust option, as well as a keto crust that is a better substitute. I feel like almost every time during the pandemic I come in the employees are in a bad mood. I don't blame them, but I haven't been back as often as I use to. Honestly we prefer going to Pizza Press, Pieology, or Pizza Project USA. The attitude is really bad. Anytime I even ask for a side of ranch they give off the impression I'm a burden. It's close to home, and the pizza is decent. I did order on Doordash about a month ago for lunch and the pizza I ordered was soaking wet (maybe sauce? It was gluten free) and I ended up throwing a majority of it out. It's more expensive on Doordash so I don't recommend throwing your money away unless you're starving and about to die. The Habit and Cafe Rio next store are far better options, but if you're truly craving a pizza - well, here you go. If you can drive a few miles more go to the Blaze in Brea, the staff and cleanliness is much better. I've gone there about 4 times and once during the pandemic and it was a positive experience. Not sure why there are such low ratings. I personally LOVE BLAZE - it's my favorite personal pizza establishment. This particular location comes in clutch because the next closest one to me is all the way in La Habra (not that far but I'm lazy). The service is fantastic! I usually get a BYO pizza. I also almost always ask for a ton of different things for my pizza & the workers are always more than happy to do it. For example, I'd ask for garlic pesto on the crust (which I'm sure is annoying to do). Sometimes I ask to mix the garlic pesto with my main base sauce (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BTW; but when they have to do this, they need to use a separate spoon to mix so I appreciate it!). Some workers are a bit slower than others with toppings but they get the job done and are very nice. My pizza always comes out nice and crispy. Obviously if you add a ton of toppings, the crust can get soggy because of the juices. But this should be expected. Immediate parking gets crowded, but if you don't mind walking there are tons of parking spaces since it's part of a larger plaza. read more

Not sure if this is the same for all blaze pizzas or just the one in Buena Park. When a restaurant advertises themselves as pizza at lightening fast speeds, we shouldn't be waiting for over 30 minutes for our order. We came in and there were 2 people in front of us, and a few online orders. No problem. But then, the person making my pizza was new and not as experienced, so he was a little slow. Understandable that he's new and needed to take more time. However, there was a line of about 10 people behind us already, and with 4 people working this night, not sure why none of the other employees saw this guy struggling and didn't expedite service until 20 minutes later. At this point I was finally done making my pizza, and it was just sitting there with other peoples' pizzas... with no orders in the oven.... Then the cashier called us to ring us up and our pizzas were, yep! Still waiting to be put into the oven! So I asked if they were even going to put it in and they finally did without gloves, then after putting in mine and 2 others, decided to put a glove on for the last few. This is honestly unacceptable. This was my first time trying blaze at any location, and likely my last at least at this location. The manager hadn't even had contingency for when they need to go on break. Just pathetic non-leadership from the owner and manager. First time trying Blaze pizza. Glad I got that out of the way. I was so happy to see them preparing to open this place over the last couple of months. What a disappointment. Walk in and it's sort of like a Subway or Chipotle assembly line... you tell them what you want, then select the ingredients while they mumble words you can't understand and have to ask them to repeat two or three times. Then they bake your pizza. There was only one couple ahead of us this evening, but it took forfrickinever for the staff to prepare 2 pizzas for them. After standing there for 10 minutes, someone finally woke up, stepped over and took our order. She was friendly enough, but what took so long? Anyway, we selected the mumbled toppings and she built the pizza, then sent it on down to the oven guy. Another person took our money. We paid about $14 for our pizza. We sat at a table and watched the pizza cook in the oven. When it was done, the oven guy pulled it out of the oven, put it in a box, then called my name as he tossed it on the pickup shelf and walked away. And yes, I mean he actually tossed the box onto the shelf. Not like a Frisbee, but much more than a gentle set-down. Not very professional. Lots of muscles on this oven guy, maybe he doesn't know how to control his strength. Got it home and checked it out. It looked ok, although it's a little smallish. 6 small slices. The pizza was browned on top, but the dough and crust were still doughy and soft. I prefer a crust with some crispiness and a dough that feels baked. I know I watched them bake this pizza in an oven, but it seemed like a microwaved texture to me. This dough was flexible and very soft and actually stretched a bit when pulled, rather than a clean break like you might expect on a better pizza. The dough also had no garlic, parmesan or other flavor. It reminded me of a Pillsbury Bake-at-Home dough that was underbaked. As for the toppings... the pepperoni had a bit of a burn to it, and I don't care for a spicy pepperoni. The pineapple pieces were flavorless and the artichoke hearts were stringy. In short, I didn't care for this place or it's product. Maybe they'll get it figured out, but I'll stick with the other, more traditional chains or (best of all) the independent pizzerias. read more

The Buena Park Blaze Pizza is the best! Every time I come in, I feel welcome and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Especially Alexia, her customer service is exceptional, and she makes our pizzas like a pro! Each time I visit, she quickly but carefully crafts our pizza, and goes above and beyond, even asking if the portions are to my liking. The location is clean and there's a variety of seating. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told I didn't order at their store, then told that I had ordered curbside, then told to call the driver. The proceeded to tell me That for certain my order was not with them. I provided them my order number and said someone picked up the food 45 minutes prior and told me to call the driver. I asked how I could call the driver with no phone #, they said I needed to figure out how to get the number...?!?? Driver eventually showed up 15 min later. My family and I have been to this location numerous times. The food and product just seems so inconsistent, and I don't think it's like that at all their locations. So, I leave this review not because of just one off experience, but a couple. I have ordered in store, which I suggest you do if you're able to, so the probability of your food being messed up is less likely, but mostly, I order for curbside because I have two young children I don't want to take in and out of the car. Sometimes the toppings are even, and sometimes they're on one side and uneven. Don't expect so much for anyone to answer your feedback with any problem solving, because that is also unlikely. The bottom of the one of my pizzas was burnt and the crust was hard. I also recently called this location because I was trying to redeem a coupon through the app, and it started a countdown of 15 mins. I was ordering through the app for pick up and wasn't at the location and I wasn't able to push the coupon through for redemption. This place deserves zero stars all because of a Terrible manager named Jasmine. I placed an order in the app like always for 3 pizzas. I picked them up inside, got home to find 2 of the pizzas were incorrect. 1 had a topping I didn't order on it and 1 was missing a topping. I called the store and said there was something wrong with my order. The girl who answers puts me on hold for 5 mins then comes back and asks me for the info about my order. I told her what was wrong. She then tells me to come back and they will remake them and by the time I get there it'll be done. I told her I can't make it back because I don't live close and my kids are already hungry. Then with some sassy attitude she replied "So what do you want?" I asked her what CAN she do? It said closed at 9:30pm but I walked in the door at 9:17pm and was met with death stares from both girls behind the counter. The one girl with the heavy eyeliner said they were closed but the door and google said 9:30. I said I thought it was a quick fire pizza and she said well we're closed. As I looked around I noticed how dirty the place was. Even the work station had food all over the counter outside the containers. The floor was sticky and the outside eating area was no different. I found another location in Cerritos which had no problem serving me even though I walked in 10 minutes before they closed at 10pm.
