I had heard rave reviews so my expectations were set high. The service was better than the pizza. I love a thin crust and this was average. I love a tangy sauce, this was average. I tend to order the same things unless a specialty pizza offering strikes my fancy. Not a fan of Italian sausage and that was their only sausage offering. The ham was sliced like Canadian Bacon. Also not my top choice. The staff was super friendly and come and check on you throughout your meal, which is a surprise since you walk up and order. I thought that was nice. It's like chipotle for Pizza! So glad blaze made its way to the Indianapolis location. It's pretty inexpensive to get a personal size pizza with as many fresh ingredients as you want. Beware during lunch time Monday-Friday though. The lines can be extremely long depending on what time you get there but the employees are cognizant of lunch time and move pretty quickly. My trick is to order online and then pick up the pizza in the store. It cuts down the wait time. Plus they don't put the pizza in the brick oven until you arrive so you can still count on a hot fresh pizza! read more

The White Top and the BBQ chicken pizzas are both amazing! The regular pizza sauce is just plain old marinara basically. Personally I can only eat half, perfect sized for two people. We tried their new garlic knots this time and we just really were not fans, they were kind of burnt and not much of a garlic flavor. Overall, the BBQ pizza is what keeps me coming back! read more

First time we ordered from Blaze and was so excited because they had a keto crust pizza. Our pizzas arrived in about 15 minutes which should have been a clue. The pizzas arrived ice cold and the toppings added were a RAW. Seems that the pizzas were precooked and they tossed the toppings on and delivered them without even being placed in the oven. Disappointing considering it would have probably been pretty good had it been cooked and at least warm. read more

Love Blaze and love this location. Prior, I had wished they wiped down the tables more often, but have seen better upkeep the last few times. They evenly distribute toppings, my kids love the pizza, and it's a healthy option as the crusts are not soaked in oil, and the pizzas now drowning in cheese. I have been at the Michigan Rd location, it has been a bad experience, so we drive a little extra and come to this location. Friendly service, the line moves quickly and the oven is constantly popping out pizzas and is full. That oven guy deserves a raise - it's hot in front of that thing. read more

The first thing I noticed was the front doors that banged closed every time someone entered or left... very very annoying in a small space. The second was the lack of smiles or warm greetings from any of the staff. We went here to try the new Keto pizza crust. These along with Cauliflower crust require a bit more time in the oven to firm and brown. Apparently no one told the staff manning the oven last even around 7pm. and as a result the pizza was undercooked. read more

So I've reviewed the Blaze at the IUPUI campus area and I think I gave them four stars which means I can only give this one five stars because they are better. * shrug * It's the truth. I go to the Blaze near IUPUI due to convenience (and the sheer fact that I thought they were the only one) and the fact that they have delicious pizza. But they also have a lot of traffic. College kids. Police. People. Stray puppies and hungry eagles. Every time I have gone, the cross contamination is abundant. There is hamburger in the cheese, basil in the onions, garlic in the peppers and so forth. The counter where they slide the pizza is always disgusting. There is no better way to put it. But I've accepted it because I thought there was no other Blaze and because again, it's delicious. I figured I could get beyond the cross contamination and ignore what I learned in my sanitation and safety class at Culinary school. Several times I have gone and ended up with other random items on my pizza that happened to be laying in the tubs with whatever toppings I actually ordered. But this Blaze that I went to a couple of nights ago on a spontaneous eat & greet with a friend gave me hope for the future! We walked in to a spacious eatery although not as big as the one downtown. The line was short and flowed pretty smooth and to my surprise, there were police there too. I think the cops have traded in donuts for Blaze. The pizza dough was ready, the counters were CLEAN (100% clean) and the toppings were all in their respective containers; not mixing and partying with each other at the customer's expense. There was also Blood Orange lemonade available, which can be hit or miss downtown. I understand that one has a heavy traffic flow but upon visiting this Blaze, either I will never go back to the one at IUPUI or I will stop eating Blaze. It's that concept of you never miss what you never had. Seeing as though I didn't know this clean and quick Blaze existed, I accepted having to eat my wonderful build your own pizza from the slums of cross contamination and missing ingredients (they also run out of stuff often). But now, I have seen the light. I have returned to my Snooty levels of Elite Foxery. I thank this Blaze for providing it's customers with a clean environment that seems like someone in the building cares about what the customers walk into. I thank them for fresh tasting ingredients and for having them stocked, ready, separated and as always, delicious. The attendent was friendly and cool and after we received our order, we kicked back for a pizza smashing (also known as eating relentlessly, unapologetically and without small talk) contest in the comfort of the clean dining area. I REALLY liked this place. You get an 11 inch thin crust pizza with any toppings you want for $6.95, and they have cheaper cheese only options! That's a steal. This place had it together-this first thing I noticed was that they asked my name when I first walked up, then they used my name through the whole process of putting my pizza together. That's smart service. Also-the menu- I was feeling overwhelmed with all the awesome choices, so I went with one of their pre-designed uoptions...and as they put it together, they asked if I wanted to add anything else. Everything looked fresh and yummy. There are gluten free options that I didn't try, and a selection of pre-made salads, organic chocolate milk, and a smore's cookie. Came here for lunch with some coworkers. After having been once before and having a had a decent experience, this time was another story. There were 4 of us and while 3 came out relatively together (after about 10 mins) the fourth was completely lost and most likely handed out multiple times to other people. We waited for over an hour. The others had finished eating and despite multiple attempts to talk to the pizza firers, no pizza appeared. No refund, no urgency. Their process obviously doesn't scale. Don't come here at lunch or dinner. Maybe try around 3pm when there is no one in line. Then they might get your order straight. read more

You can't beat this place for a quick and affordable lunch. I was also really impressed with the service and the genuineness of the employees. It was super busy - line out the door the whole time I was there - but every person I interacted with said my name and smiled at me. Awesome! I also really like the whole setup of this place. I am so excited about this place! I've only been here once so far, but the concept is great and the quality so far has been excellent!! Pretty much think Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe's, Piada......but now think Pizza. Fast casual place that starts on one end with your crust, and works down the line adding sauce, cheese, toppings and seasonings followed by a 3-4 minute cook time in a brick oven. Fast, Fresh, and Delicious! The pizzas are individual sized for hungry people...for example I can finish one, but I know many people who can not finish a full pizza. Think Napolese size. We've been there three times since they opened up. First time was a great experience. Great concept and good value for the money, but my only complaint was the amount of toppings. They are VERY conservative on the toppings, including the cheese. I thought about asking for more, but decided not to. The second time was different. Same amount of toppings but the pizza was almost burnt on the bottom. Someone forgot about it and it was in a little too long. Again, I should have said something but didn't. third time was also very good. Pizza was great except the small amount of toppings. Overall, a great place to go for a quick lunch. I kinda know what to expect with Blaze: good pizza for good prize. To be honest, I don't think much about customer service unless it's terrible. But my experience at Blaze in Carmel was SO good, I felt like I owed them the time it takes to write a good review. I came for lunch on the tail end of the lunch rush. Even so, the place was really clean and my wait was super short. Cam took my order and made my pizza and was so nice and really patient with me having to repeat myself and change my order. Getting an 11" pizza with as many (pretty special) ingredients as you want for the cost of Chipotle or Piada with most of the speed has real value to me. Takes maybe two minutes longer than those places. I have no qualms with any of the ingredients I've had so far; very fresh. I have only one issue with the food itself: the outer crust gets a little charred, which is fine, I like the wood-fired pizzas, but the middle is pretty floppy. Not in that elegant New York style way, and it's not under-done, but it is a bit underwhelming when the ingredients are so good and just fall off when you pick a piece up. I understand baking a pizza in 3 minutes is difficult, but they have some further crust engineering to do before it's perfect. The service is also engineered to be personalized, and every person handling your pizza says your name at least once, but it's very orchestrated, and you can tell the assembly line is one rather stressed machine. It's fast food, it's well organized, and it's one of the better interpretations of the Chipotle/Piada custom ingredient assembly line, but I'm not sure I buy that having more of a script helps the service experience for me personally. read more

I went here with some friends of mine 2 weeks ago and apparently they had a really long line and here where this story takes a nose plunge. The line was moving very slowly because guess why? Allergy free and excellent service. Their garlic knots are made with pesto, which my son is allergic to. We had ordered them unawares, and this after the was a mix up on our pizza. It was turning out to be a pretty experience. The manager was sympathetic and checked on us. He then brought us their allergy information and explained that all their food is allergy free (accept for peanuts in their cookies). We were grateful. Then because of our concern, and out of the kindness of his heart, he offered my son a free dessert. A poor experience turned into an experience I'll never forget. read more

This place was great, my first time here. I noticed the building inside and out was super clean and the environment was upbeat and fresh. We waited in line for just a very short time and was immediately greeted with a smile . The staff was great when they took our order and Adam was super excited to tell us about the restaurant and all of the pizza options. Our pizza came out of the oven hot and fresh (oh they have goat cheese as an option btw), the food tasted great and crust was perfect. They have a ton of drink options that included some mixed juices that were really good.
