I have eaten at this location a couple times as it's within walking distance of work. I have always had pretty great experiences and great pizza. Today takes the cake of experiences... my pizza was ready when I walked in, but there was an employee in the dining room booth ( with a no dining ordinance) with a pizza asleep. This place is the Chipotle of pizza... a little different from the norm, everyone gets exactly what they want, quick moving through the line, etc. Which is why tonight's vision was extraordinary. My three sons and I dropped in at the end of dinner rush, something I tend to avoid if possible. Trying to get my own order in while trying to herd three boys through and not hold up the process for the folks behind me who were not nearly as frustrated as I am... yup, not my idea of a great time. So when the young male employee took the time to focus in on my 7 year old who was flipping out about exactly where each pepperoni was being placed... well, my heart grew 10 sizes. He was patient and kind... no small feat for anyone nowadays but even more so in this type job/environment/etc. It's these little things that keep us coming back. But it's also these little things that affect people's moods/behaviors/outlook more than most people can even comprehend. Thomas will never know how many meltdowns he prevented... for a little guy who he did not even know had special needs. Many people are kind enough to recognize and make concessions when it's obvious someone has a disability or needs help... but when someone "looks fine" it gets tiring to explain to the judgmental public and impatient employees at most restaurants that you're dealing with things the best way you can, because just because someone has special needs doesn't mean you can avoid public situations -- you have to teach your kids to live. My youngest doesn't "look like it" but he is on the autism spectrum with sensory disorders, anxiety and aggressive behaviors. Those aren't the things you usually talk about with the teenager behind the counter at the local pizza place. Thank you to Thomas for something you had no idea about. Thank you for your maturity and kindness. Thank you for making an impression on a young boy and his family. Thank you for making my son his "perfect pizza." Blaze is always a great dinner option for us. I like that we can get our own pizzas! We went a ton when they they first opened, but have fallen out of habit. I am not sure why. I always love getting pizza here. It's quick, tasty, fresh, and super filling. This location is always clean and the people are always helpful. If there is a line it usually goes pretty fast since the pizzas are cooked so quickly. I love the fresh toppings. There are so many choices and I like to put a ton of veggies and cheese on mine. I think it's cool they offer vegan cheese and even gluten free dough for a small up charge. I love to mix the Alfredo and basil sauce on my dough. I also like to add goat cheese and mozzarella. Roasted garlic is my absolute favorite topping. I also love fresh basil! Everything is always fresh and tasty. The best part to me is the extra at the end. I love arugula and the thought of it on my pipping hot pizza makes me drool just thinking of it. I also have them add some balsamic glaze. They have several other toppings for after. Did I mention I love toppings?!? They also have salads! They have always looked fresh and you can even get cookies! They would be better warm, but are tasty as is. I am usually happy with my pizza and have lunch for the next day. I also love the drink options. I think they used to only have 1 or 2, but recently they have had 4 options. The matcha agua fresca. The service here is pretty great. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful when you're feeling indecisive. This is great pizza, especially for the price. This is enough for my life mate and I to share. The flavor of the sauce is something I crave. It's flavorful and bold. If you like a little spice, add some of the spicy red. So so good. The quality of toppings always look fresh and not straight out of a can. They have unique drinks so I highly recommend getting your own beverage. Ordered a pizza from them. Showed it had been delivered but was never received. When I called the restaurant, they said they use door dash and to take it up with them. I have had so many people tell me this is the best pizza around. I decided to try it. The process was difficult at first because I was new and so was the person making my pizza. He got it a tic wrong. He made a whole pizza instead of a half. Guess what, the awesome manager only charged me for a half order. So, I ordered the BBQ pizza. Subbed out banana peppers and added red peppers. The wait was maybe 5 minutes. The BBQ was added after it came out of the oven. It is a thin crust pizza with a healthy amount of toppings. My first, second and last bites were heavenly. What a flavorful pizza. Best of all the manager caught me before I left to ask me what I thought since he knew this was my firtst time. It seems like they may still be working out some of the kinks - the end of the line where we waited for our pizza was a little chaotic. They accidentally put our pizza on someone else's tray, but it all worked out fine in the end. Mega bonus points to them for having a vegan cheese option at no extra charge, plus keeping it covered so the regular cheese doesn't get mixed in. One of the employees accidentally dropped a spoon into the non-vegan cheese and immediately went off in search of a new one. Definitely one of my favorite new go-to places in Carmel. Building your own pizza for a set price no matter what you put on it opens up so many possibilities to do it your way, and I love experimenting with different flavor combinations each time I visit. I love the aesthetic of the restaurant, it is very unique. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and there are a lot of them! There are quite a few cons I can point out though. The acoustics inside the restaurant can be rough, and the place can get very loud if it's very crowded. During lunch rush, this place can be absolutely crazy. There is not a very good waiting area for receiving your pizza when it's up, and because you never know exactly when they'll pull your pizza from the oven, you can't always expect them to get pulled based on who was in front of you in line, especially if you had a simpler pizza than the person in front of you. This leads to a lot of people waiting in a small space for their pizza. And when it is up, if you aren't there to immediately receive it, they have to yell across the entire restaurant to try and get you to go get your pizza. Like someone else mentioned, for the best experience here I would highly recommend coming around the primary meal rush times, if possible. But, I really do love this place and that's why I keep going back. read more

Phone line rings busy so can't even let them know you are there for curbside pickup, wasting gas while your food gets cold and good luck going inside. No dedicated pick area so you'll have to wait in a long line (our food was to be ready at 8:05 they were making our breadsticks at 8:30).. I just had the worst experience in Blaze Pizza in Carmel, IN. I will never ever ever go there again. Like I still feel a little bit panicked. I can only try to describe it. So I had ordered online / two pizzas and two little garlic knots. To be ready at 552pm EST. So I go in and notice all this chaos - a mess of tickets and pizza boxes. It was complete disarray. But figured it was just Saturday. My food was not yet ready tho it should have been. But still - Saturday, like I said. So I wait a few minutes, and came to realize that like they really didn't know what was going on. The pizzas were coming out all burnt. This woman brought up her gluten free pie for a remake / the crust looked like snot. The pizza maker tried to say it was okay - he like swished it around on the plate a minute - rearranged it and thought she might accept it. This poor dude next to me was holding these two pizza boxes and a Parmesan shaker at the pizza maker's request / pizza maker was like, "Here - hold these." He was just shuffling through tickets and boxes trying to do god only knows what. Meanwhile, one of my pizzas and the garlic knots materialized, from somewhere, but not my other pizza. L The kid next to me was finally like, "Um, what do you me to do with these? They're not mine." And the pizza maker was like - whatever. And you know //// my blood pressure is rising and I tried to hold it in. But finally I said, "Is my other pizza somewhere? It was supposed to be ready 10 mins ago and I can't really tell what's going on but it doesn't seem like I'm going to get my food." So pizza man says, "What's going on is we're trying to figure out who gets what." Like all shitty. "Well it doesn't seem like that's going all that well for you," I said. And he showed zero interest in helping me. Like I really did not know what to do. My food wasn't there and the person making it was enraged. So finally I said, "Well, if I'm not going to get my other pizza, can I get my money back?" And pizza man's little sidekick looked at me and ROLLED HIS EYES. Like these guys were outright hostile. So I asked for the manager. So the manager / who's apparently been right in this shitmix the whole time / says, "I'll be with you in just a moment. I'm remaking this woman's crust." (The runny gluten free crust!) Which made me laugh because of course he was fixing someone else's problem. Me, gluten-free, and the poor dude with the parmesan shaker were like hostages to pizza maker's dark mood and incompetence. So finally manager came to help me. I said, "I need a refund yada yada. It was supposed to be ready 15 mins ago and there's no sign of any progress." And he makes me wait while he goes and looks deep in that fire to make sure I wasn't just being impatient. After looking a few places, he comes back and says, "Well I don't see it in the oven anywhere, so in that case we can give you a refund." This was particularly annoying - like he had to verify that I had cause to be unhappy with their service. Like I hadn't just been standing there wide-eyed for the past 15 minutes watching the ineptitude unfold. "Well even if it was in the oven," I said, "by now I've been waiting so long that the food I do have is cold. So yeah / I need a refund." Holy f-ing crap. This was an exquisitely unpleasant experience. Not only did it have that "confrontation-type" awkwardness, but I felt there at risk of physical injury to my person. Like I really felt a bit of fear for my own safety. And I was even tamping down my personal disbelief and frustration so the situation didn't escalate further, as it didn't have far to go. I haven't even eaten my pizza yet. The mgr said he'd issue a refund for the one (not posted yet...), and I'm stuck with a room-temp simple pie and some cold, chewy garlic knots. I don't even want to look at the boxes from Blaze. What a nightmare. read more

I love that you can choose so many different variations. I tried the spicy red sauce, it was delicious! At first I was skeptical of the time it would take to cook, but it was really quick. It's difficult to find a crust that is both gluten free and egg free. Not at Blaze Pizza! Although not a big fan of the Daiya cheese, I decided to go with it as opposed to no cheese on my pizza. I chose all the veggie options including spinach, onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms and even some pineapple! The crust was very thin and I had to fold it in half because it couldn't handle the gargantuan amount of toppings! I was not mad at this. It gave it a 'Brooklyn style' feel :). The atmosphere is hipster-ish but seems very family friendly also! There are plenty of toppings to choose from and the pie is baked in a fire oven which made the crust crispy! They even offer to sprinkle salt and oregano right before they pop it in the heat, which I thought was neat! Delicious, vegan AND gluten free pizza? What more could I ask for? 5/5 read more

This pizza place is not like any other pizza place, it's amazing. For starters you can create your own pizza with all of the toppings right in front of you! And there's no limit to how many toppings you can have, we always order with so many toppings . Secondly they fire the pizza up right in front of you. And it's not really a oven it's more of a kiln it's so big and you can see the fire as it burns your pizza. My family and I love it, 10/10 place would recommend to anyone. read more

Also, I would only eat this pizza IN the restaurant. We did a online order with pickup awhile back and while they won't put your pie in the oven until you arrive, even with just a 8 minute drive home, by the time I got time, my Blaze pizza was soggy and not that great. So I would recommend eating it right away! I also agree with other reviewers who said when busy, the tables don't get cleaned very often! read more

Blaze Pizza is probably one of the best pizza places around Carmel you'll ever find!! The service is great, staff is friendly, and the pizza is made right in front of you! Pizza is ready in 20 minutes! It's also very very delicious and we love to come here when we have a craving for pizza! The location is set to be fantastic but recently it's fallen apart. Last visit by my wife took them 3 times and 40 minutes to get the order correct. This visit, I went with her and we ordered 2 pizzas. They didn't cut either one. Mine was burnt. Also, I watched them throw out 3 pizzas they burned before mine. When mine came out, it sat on the staging rack for a good 5 minutes. I finally had to tell them the burnt pizza that had been sitting iin front of them for 5 minutes was mine. We have stopped here a few different times when we have been in town for a soccer tournament. All 6 of us get our own pizzas the way we want them for a reasonable price. The service is always friendly and the pizza is always delicious. This afternoon I put a couple of leftover pieces from the weekend in the oven for lunch...followed directions just as listed on the box they provided. It was just as good as the first time around.
