Our dinner club met here this week for dinner. I hadn't been for a while but loved their food in the past. The dining room was pretty empty when we arrived at 6 pm so we had our pick of tables. Our server, Raymond, was the only server that night, and he was 5-star. He was friendly, provided suggestions, attentive and kept the drinks coming. He was especially patient with our dividing of the bill at the end of the night. The wine selection is limited, I hadn't the house red blend and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. My husband had their special local craft beer that he said was fantastic. For dinner I had the Diavolo with shrimp and medium spice. The Diavolo was delicious with a perfect level of spice and plenty of plump shrimp. I loved it. The house salad is one of my favorite salads and came with the meal. The serving is large and I shared with my husband. My husband had the Hot Italian Sub, which he loved. The sandwich had a generous portion of meat, spices and cheese. The roll was good and he mentioned that even the chips (maybe kettle chips) were delicious. We loved our meals. The dining room was cozy on a rainy night and never crowded. We could hear each other easily. I'm not sure why their ratings are so low, but they've had staffing problems in the past. Our service was outstanding and the food was super. Prices are reasonable. This is a great little neighborhood pizza restaurant. We'll be back. There is limited parking in front, but there is a lot out back. read more

Well, the pizza and food is still really good. I would not recommend going here to eat in anytime after seven on a Friday for sure we were seated and got her for food within a reasonable time but shortly there after as more people came in the service completely dropped off to Neil And we had to go up to the counter and check ourselves out and get our own box read more

Ordered a carry out pizza. Was told it would be ready in 35 minutes. I showed up 40 minutes later. Paid for the pizza only to watch as they started making it I had to wait 30 minutes more. Never again will I order carry out from this restaurant. read more

This is my go to west Carmel pizza place. Orders are ready quick and the pizza quality is incredible! 10/10 recommend.

I've only had the meatball sub there, though I've ordered it many times. Highly recommend! Nice people working behind the counter.

I like Puccini's, but just be aware that their default for large pizzas is cutting the pizza into squares. I forget every time! I don't know what you think, but what I think is that square slices are ridiculous and should not be a default. But what are you gonna do? (Remember to ask for your pizza to be cut into triangles, is what.) This is one of the two Carmel Puccini's locations, and I think I prefer it to the other one. It's nice and cozy but not too small, and it's very clean, and the food comes out quickly. It's a great location if you live in The Village of WestClay, because it's in a shopping center in the middle of a residential area with not very much else around. We got a large pepperoni pizza, and my youngest kid, who claims that he doesn't like pizza, said that this was his second-favorite pizza. It was very good and tasted best straight from the oven. We also got breadsticks, and they were just OK. They tasted a little sweet and were dense. Not my favorite breadsticks, but I'm glad I tried them. read more

The food is nothing to write home about out. Pretty plain. The badda bing calzone had chicken that was bland and the entire dishes flavor was non existent. The chicken parm was pretty terrible. The chicken was rubbery and tasteless. The only thing that made it eatable was the meat sauce. I don't know if this is the norm for this place. As we are from out of town working. But they had two people working. One waiter and one kitchen employee. It wasn't packed but wasn't busy. I feel like the 2.9 is right about where this place is. read more

My dad has been living in assisted living near this location and it's quickly become a favorite. Everyone has been incredibly kind to us, and our last server, when we came as a family, was fantastic. The pizza here is awesome, and the chicken marsala is great. But the real standout is their low-carb menu. Wowza! Highly recommend. I haven't ever seen this place too busy, which makes for an extraordinarily pleasant dining experience. read more

My husband and I recently ordered takeout from Puccini's. We were able to put it in our order via phone and the food was ready within 20 minutes for pick up. The pasta that we ordered was average. However, the menu has many options including those for a different dietary restrictions. Another time that we visited Puccini's hoping to dine in, there was a private party outside. Couldn't have been more disappointed! Placed order online and sent daughter to pick up in person. They had the name completely wrong so it took them forever to find the order. Teenage workers couldn't have cared less. Once she arrived home, the order was missing 3 dinner salads. Called and they confirmed the salads were ready for pickup so daughter had to go back again. When she arrived, only 2 of the 3 salads were ready. Again staff couldn't have cared less. But the worst part of all was the pasta order. We had ordered and paid for "pasta with meat sauce" and the paid extra to add meatballs and to add Italian sausage. What we received was completely dry pasta...no meat sauce whatsoever! And the meatballs and sausage were completely dry also. No sauce at all! Extremely disappointing. This store is embarrassing to the Puccini brand! read more

I've been to this location three times now and have not had an issue with the food or the wait staff as others have reported. The most recent night I went, I wanted to try something and asked the waitress between two dishes. She recommended Shrimp Santa Cruz since it was one of her favorites, and then proceeded to explain why. I was sold, ordered it and wish I hadn't waited so long to try it. I've had other dishes here which are on par with the other locations I patronize. Regarding Puccini's as a whole, my family thinks it's the best bang for the buck Italian restaurant. So many have gone overboard charging $20+ for a pasta dish sans seafood which are marginally better. I love the pasta dishes as well as the 'hold the carbs' but I am not a fan of their pizza. I like a thinner crust and less air bubbles in my dough. Most pasta dishes can be substituted with gluten free pasta as well as the pizza dough. They serve coke products, have local beer offerings and wine. read more

Ordered takeout and the pizza was ready in 15 minutes. I ordered the ultimate warrior and half king of hearts, half margherita. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but my favorite had to be the king of hearts. The pizzas were heavy and had a lot of toppings. I liked that the crust was thinner too. We ordered take out on a Friday night and it was ready in about 35 min. Easy process to place order over the phone and pay inside once you arrive. We ordered the Greek salad and the Giacomo pizza. The Greek salad was a blend of spinach and iceberg lettuce with lots of toppings. The dressing was an oil and vinegar mix. The giacomo has pepperoni, sausage, green pepper and mushrooms. Nice crisp on the cheese and crust. Sauce is a little on the sweeter side but overall tasty. read more

I used to go to Puccini's in high school but hadn't been in to one recently. I am SO glad we decided to stop into this newer location for dinner one night. I forgot how delicious all of the food is, and for such a great price! I ordered a glass of house red wine which was good, and my fiancé tried one of their local beer options. We tried out a few appetizers (we were really hungry!) and I was so impressed by the bruschetta and spinach artichoke dip. Probably could've enjoyed that dip with a spoon to be honest! So good. I was in the mood for pasta so our waitress recommended the Diavola and it may just be one of my new favorite restaurant dishes. You have the choice to add a meat, and then a level of spiciness as well. I chose to add shrimp, and made it spicy and that was definitely the way to go! As far as pizza goes, I'm actually not usually a big pizza lover (meaning plain marinara/pepperoni kind) but these pizzas are so unique! My fiancé got a half & half to try the Campfire and Shrimp ones. The Campfire was by fair my favorite! We were told it's won and award in Italy, and I can see why! The caramelized onion sauce is like nothing I've had on a pizza, delicious. Overall the food, service and whole experience was great here. I LOVE a Puccinis and have eaten at the restaurant at Greenbriar my entire life. It's a family staple. I was advised not to go to this location, but they didn't have a wait and my food was ready within 20 minutes of ordering, and there wasn't a wait over the phone like there usually is at the Greenbriar location. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. My experience though led me to a different question - Does indiana require commercial kitchen workers to wear gloves while prepping food? Perhaps there's a shortage of gloves here because not a single worker in this kitchen was wearing gloves while prepping food. In the 5+ minutes I waited for my takeout order I watched bare hands empty mushrooms into their container, and bare hands put slices of tomatoes on pizzas, bare hands put pizza in an oven, handle the fryer, etc. This was disgusting to me, as I thought this was a health code requirement... I probably won't be ordering from this location again read more

What is going on with Puccini's? We've been loyal customers for many years. We were excited when the West Clay location opened since it was closer to our home. At first, the pizzas were excellent. But over time, the quality and standards diminished. The crust changed in texture and consistency. The amount of sauce and toppings lessened. When we dined in typically there was ONE waitress and ONE busser for the entire restaurant, both inside and out. This contributed to lengthy wait times for food. I saw a young staff member who was working behind the counter wipe her nose twice then not wash her hands. I spoke with the manager and suggested he give his employees a 'gentle reminder' to wash their hands. He said okay then went back to making pizzas. Although we've been dedicated customers for a long time, we've decided we've had enough and will take our business elsewhere. read more

Really disappointing. Crust is flat. Toppings slim on the medium 'Bill' i ordered. Literally counted 8 pieces of sausage on a 12 slice pie?!? Awards may have been given in Parma, but I don't think Italy would claim this as pizza. Salad was typical garden type with feta and olives. Not really greek. read more

Puccini a does not disappoint. It's one of Indy's top pizza spots hands down. Big fan of the pepperoni bread, campfire pizza & sweet lil razorback pizza. We've been to this new location quite a few times since they've opened, both as carry out customers and eat-in. The food is great and we have never had an issue with service. They've been busy during the quarantine, but our carry out orders have always been ready on time and piping hot and fresh. The pizzas are fun and creative. Our favorites are the Veg Head and the Twice Baked. We also love their calzones and pasta dishes. You really can't go wrong! We love having a Puccini's so close to home and look forward to eating in again soon when this quarantine mess is over. read more

We tried the new West Clay Puccini's location. We had a party of 4. It I was Friday night at 7pm. Would expect to be busy. But this was very bad. Service was slow and poorly done. Salads came quickly and food maybe 45 min later. Wait staff was all high school age or younger and had no clue. Our orders was correct, but cold and not delivered to the table at same time. The food was okay. We saw several orders at other tables sent back. We live in the neighborhood and want to support the merchants. But they need to make sum changes quickly or after the novelty of the new restaurant wears off they will be done. I am willing to give them a few weeks to figure out what they are doing and give them another chance. read more

The growing pains are over! My family went last weekend to finally try out their newest location, we were worried about the bad reviews but it seems like they cleaned-up their act. Just as good experience as I've had before at their Fisher's location. Great family atmosphere, attentive service and delicious food. Ughh.. we love Puccini's however at this location please clean your prep area sweep your floors. If u have a visible area where u watch someone make your food please clean the area and the staff needs to be wearing aprons and gloves. I watched more then one staff member handle food then pick up there phone then take out the trash and not wash there hands or put on a glove. One is preparing food another is cleaning behind them not standing around doing nothing. There was so many young kids working in there and not one adult did I see present. Who is keeping this place in line? Its a disorganized mess. This is a new restaurant get it together or it will be another loss for the village of west clay:( this is a one step away from a food poisoning just waiting to happen. read more

Our family loves Puccini's pizza and has frequented 4-5 of the locations throughout the city. We were so excited when one opened less than a mile from our house. We have been to this location 4 times now (combination of dine in and carry out) and the quality has been lacking ever time. Tonight we were told 45 minutes for our order and when we arrived the pizza was cold, hard as a rock and the toppings were all in the center. The breadsticks were rubbery and the cheese sauce was solid and cold. Apparently the pizza had been done for more than 20 minutes and we arrived right on time. Unfortunately, it looks like we will have to drive 20 minutes further to go to a different location if we want to experience Puccini's quality. Disappointing. read more

Received a gift card to Puccini's so I called to place my order and mentioned I was going to use a gift card. When I arrived I was told the gift cards weren't working!!! How can a gift card not work? No effort was made to even try or to compensate for the fact that when I called no one warned me that gift cards wouldn't be accepted. If I didn't have a bunch of little kids waiting for their pizza, I would have walked out without my order. Terrible service. This is my go to place for lunch. Their pizza special with a slice, salad, and drink for $8.50 can't be beat. They have great pasta too. Their Alfredo tastes like they make it themselves, not out of a can. The white clam sauce has lots of clans it. The garlic bread is great to sop up the extra sauce. read more
