Pesto Garlic Cheesy Bread
Anthony V.

I wish I had gone here sooner. The dough was tasty and crunchy. The pizza oven gives the crust just the right amount of stiffness and char on the underside That char is flavor! The toppings options were plentiful and all were very tasty. Virtually any combination of toppings will lead to a mouth-watering pizza pie.Warning: the spicy pizza sauce 'green paper' hot, not 'red pepper flakes' hot. The sausage is a bit spicy. The roasted garlic really adds another level of flavor to the pie. I also liked the sauces drizzled on the pizzas once taken out of the oven. My favorite was the balsamic vinaigrette. Can't wait to go back.

The staff was helpful to explain the menu options. Jazzy vibe for casual dining across from Loyola's campus. Thanks Malcolm for getting answers to the finishes & quick checkout. It did not disappoint! Thank you!

I stopped in again. I had a young man who helped me with my order. He greeted me when I arrived. He did a great job on my order and again very professional. I was very satisfied.

Blaze Pizza reminds me of the other chain pizza restaurants. Blaze Pizza gives the customer the option to "Make Your Own pizza", choose the Meat Lovers menu, decide on the regular pizza or even opt for the vegetarian pizza options. As a vegetarian, I opt for the Make Your Own Pizza. I like how Blaze places the ingredients in front. The customer can see and decide what to put on one's pizza. For my pizza, I choose grape tomatoes, pineapples, mushrooms, basil, fried broccoli, green peppers, red peppers, and vegan chorizo. It tastes fabulous! I like how the mozzarella cheese melts and sticks to the other slices. The vegetables retain their taste and aroma. I really enjoy eating this pizza. Joseph opts for the Make Your Own Pizza. He decides on adding meat to his pizza. Somalia the pizza artist did such an amazing job in making my pizza. She generously put the ingredients. Come to Blaze Pizza. Bring family, friends, or even a date here.

Lovely CYO PIZZA PIE JUST FOR ME :)

Walking by my Old Neighborhood, I stopped by here BC this was the 1st Blaze I ever went to, to get a pizza. It was Just as Good as the other ones I've had! I ordered a CYO (GF) crust with spicy red sauce (my favorite), goat cheese, 4 meats (chorizo, meatballs, chicken, ham), banana peppers, black olives, garlic, jalapeños, red onions, arugula, and oregano. The pizza was lovely - I asked them nicely to keep the pizza in for a little longer, which is why the edges are super crispy/little burnt. *YUM* I ate half of it before I got home (lol) Once again, Thrilled!

Meat on a pizza!

Very solid pizza. Quick, enjoy the walk down the aisle Subway/Chipotle-esque assembly of one's pie. Pizza comes quick, hot, and tasty. Not all ingredients are stellar (meatballs I found to be rather bland), but overall quite good. Beverage selections are good, rather tasty lemonade (and blood orange lemonade). Felt like they were taking COVID precautions seriously. Staff has been courteous and efficient on several visits. Fairly priced. The best pizza I have had? No, but still a good value and delicious.

But I'm moving and I haven't had food at home so I've picked up food here probably 6-7 times in the last month. There has never been the same staff member twice during my visits, so I've seen lots of people working here and every single one of them has welcomed me in, smiled, been super friendly, and thanked me for coming by. Plus the food had been great. It is so unusual these days to encounter kind and happy people at grab n' go places and to experience such great customer service. Super impressed with the people who work at this place and thought they deserved a shout out. Whomever us in charge of hiring, you're doing a great job.

Let me start off by saying this was not a business I would…read morehave thought of going to because I don't just do salads as a meal unless it is a big giant taco salad, but for a work meeting, this was the place that lunch was ordered from. I got the Chicken Avocado Ranch for my selection (Antibiotic-free blackened chicken, avocado, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine, seed oil-free green goddess ranch) and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. As I was home on the Friday after the Xmas Day celebration, hungry, didn't want to cook/heat anything up, I decided to order this salad for dinner through Grubhub. While I was placing the order, I decided to try the Fish Taco for the next day's lunch (Antibiotic-free miso glazed salmon, avocado, shredded cabbage, cilantro, tortilla chips, herbed quinoa, spring mix). This bowl comes with a sweetgreen hot sauce & lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette, but I opted to switch that out for the Green Goddess Ranch and the Miso Sesame Ginger. I loved the fact that I would add or not include certain items. For example, I love goat cheese, so I add that to both bowls and it was delish. Delivery was pretty smooth, with the driver coming up to our floor to drop everything off. Both bowls looked visually pleasing and the overall taste was pretty good. The flavors were nice and there was a freshness to both bowls, even the Fish Taco one on the next day. FYI the Fish Taco bowl can only be ordered online, not ordered in the store...not sure why, but since I will not be going to the store, I am good with that. You also have the option to order a slice of bread with each bowl and that was nice. Next time I will see if I can get a second slice. Total cost for the two bowls, with some add-ons and service fee and tip was about $58. I will say it will be cheaper to go to the store and pick it up yourself, but I will pay to have stuff delivered to me for peace of mind. They do have an app for placing orders, but I will stick with Grubhub because that is free for me through Amazon. I realize sweetgreen has a mission statement about eating healthy, lowering their carbon footprint, a commitment to animal welfare, but before I knew any of that, I still would say the bowls were pretty good. Not that I crave salads or bowls that often, but if I do, this will be the first place I order from.

Our server was kind, attentive and helped me make a decision on dinner and dessert when I was torn between a few choices. They let us hang around after dinner and they didn't rush us out which was nice too. We had the option to dine in or out but we chose to stay inside because of the humidity and frankly, we just love our air-conditioning. I had never had this before and was blown away by how absolutely tasty it was! I also ordered the Kofte Chargrilled Meatballs which were amazing they came in a large portion but also were SO good bold in flavor with the perfect texture! The pitas are spectacular. And, you get to watch them get baked right out front! I got the chicken schwarma hummus. The chicken skin was crispy and salty. Absolutely perfect. No if, ands, or buts about it, the pork belly was the star of the show. It had that bit of char to give it that maillard charm [sic], and it was just the right cut of meat that it was tremendously flavorful and savory. Not over salted either! I used to think that my favorite gyro filling was lamb. No. My favorite gyro filling is pork belly, 100%. Far too many places stuff it to the absolute brim for the heck of saying, "Hey, look, we're not greedy at all! We're give you more ingredients." Though this throws the balance off and it becomes a piping hot mess. Not here. I didn't find myself saying, "They skimped on the meat," nor did I find myself saying, "I would have liked a little more veggies." While a bit more onions wouldn't have hurt, I am not complaining. The only thing I will say is the tzatziki sauce could have used a little more flavor. I'm not sure if it needed more cucumber or maybe some herbs, but it felt more like a yogurt sauce than what I would call a true tzatziki. All this is good and fine except for the service. While I do want to be fair and say that I was here as part of a larger group. I don't think that's an excuse. It took us just about an hour for our manis to start coming. The restaurant wasn't very busy, either. If it's an indication, one of the things I ordered was a EPSA soda (by the way, it had no carbonation and was more of a fruit juice). It took well over 15 minutes just to get a bottle of this stuff. Come on, folks. Just get it from the fridge, give it to me, and there's more likelihood I'd finish it before the food gets here and I'll ask for another one. The final thing I do want to give them massive props for is their low prices, probably about the same as a meal would cost you at a fast food joint, with comparable portions. It's not something that you're going to be waddling away like a penguin, but unless you have a massively voracious appetite, you will not leave hungry, just not brimming to the full. Thus, the pork belly gyro is definitely worth a return visit. However, I have to make sure I give myself plenty of time because based on my experience with a larger group, it may take unreasonably long to get my food.

We ordered: - crab rangoon - 5/5 - very tasty and light, sauce was a great complement - soulful platter with 'chicken' wing - 4.5/5- loved the variety of components. The 'chicken' wing was a highlight and had great texture and flavor; cornbread was also really tasty.
