I made the mistake of ordering off Postmates which placed my order here (30 mins away) vs a store near me. I immediately called the shop and asked them to cancel the order but they refused to do so despite not starting the order yet (they confirmed this). As such, I was delivered a cold pizza that was sitting for 30-40 minutes. Additionally the food quality wasn't great- they put very little sauce on the pizza and didn't provide any condiments (red pepper or Parmesan). An easy skip! read more

This Giordano's is a cute corner pizzeria that has a small local feel and vibe to it. Inside offers seating for booths and tables. Overall service was good. It took a long time after seating for the server to come around. I ended up ordering the personal size thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and onion. I also ordered a sparkling mineral water for a drink (San Pellegrino). About the time the pizza should have ready to come out the server came out and apologized and informed me that they made the wrong crust and offered to remake the pizza. They made deep dish rather than thin. I was so hungry and had been waiting a bit so almost just said bring me that, but really wanted to try the thin crust that I had originally ordered for a change. The pizza was remade and brought out about 30 mins later. Just an apology was offered, and no discount or free drink for the inconvenience and additional time for an error that wasn't mine. I did love the combination of toppings and crust and ate every bite of the personal pizza. I was happy with the quality and flavor of the pie. Overall, friendly Staff, good food, and tasty sauce. Giordano's pizza in Rogers Park is a great location. It was not crowded on a Sunday evening, which was a nice change from the hectic loop restaurant on a Friday night. The service was top notch, constantly refilling our drinks. The food was served in a timely manner. The deep dish cheese pizza was excellent, nice cheese pull and perfectly cooked. The Parmesan crusted margherita pizza was very good as well, it had a thinner crust that is similar to Lou Malnati's pizza. The Parmesan cheese on the crust was a nice touch. We also had garlic fries which were good and fried cheese triangles. We also ordered dessert to go, tiramisu, pan cookie and chocolate cake. Overall a great evening of deep dish pizza . Not my first rodeo with Giordano's. What I have to keep in mind is that their pies can induce an unavoidable desire to sleep. Pie was tasty, on time and as ordered. One regret delivery cost was almost 60% of the total. Would I pick this spot again, yup. I'd just leave DoorDash out. read more

Love their lunch combos here which run Monday-Friday 11-3pm. It is what keeps me coming back. For $9.50, you can get an individual deep dish pizza and a side! Unheard of. My favorites are the individual sausage deep dish pizza with the garlic Parmesan fries. You also can't go wrong with their pepperoni deep dish or their Italian beef sandwich with sweet and spicy peppers. I have done carry out at this Rogers Park location about three times now and every time I was promptly helped and had to wait no longer than 5 minutes. read more

She came back to check on us every minute to make sure we were doing well and we were satisfied. Food: The pizza was okay. To me it was not the best pizza i've ever had. Decided to place a pick up order from this location since my first experience was good. I was surprised my 6" personal deep dish was $11.48 on its own. I recall it being much cheaper during lunch hours to enjoy. I didn't realize until picking up that the lunch deal is $8.45 and includes a side. I was disappointed that the lady taking my order was not only less than friendly, but also didn't bother mentioning the lunch deal. My receipt tells me that I placed the call/order just before 3pm so unfortunately customer consideration isn't a value at this particular location. Aside from that, the pizza was lukewarm. I picked up my order 10 minutes earlier than directed on the phone, so I can only imagine how cold it would have been had I waited the entire 35 minutes. Let me be perfectly clear: FIVE stars for the service every time I come here as everyone working FOH is usually very polite, accommodating, and professional. However, the low score is for how horrible management treats that same staff by not putting gratuity on checks for large parties like AT ALL... like no matter how big the party is (as I've been told by one staff member and had confirmed by another on 2 separate occasions), leaving these awesome, yet already-less-than-minimum-wage servers at the complete risk of getting screwed over by cheap customers, which typically happens. As a bartender and former server of over 8 years, this is atrocious practice and the upper management should be ashamed. I'm tired of hearing about management treating service industry workers like dirt (ESPECIALLY post-COVID) because they'd rather throw their servers under the bus to make a cheap customer happy than to do what's right and declare that the hard work their servers do to give their customers a good experience has value and should be paid for. I was really surprised at the quality of the pizza sauce since this is a chain that is very popular. I ordered an extra thin crust pizza while a friend got a deep dish. Both of us found the sauce to be super water. Her way of enhancing it was dumping a bunch of pepper on it while I asked for ranch sauce. But to be fair, the extra thin crust was very crisp and thin though it wasn't super light. Between this chain and Lou Malnati's I would pick the latter. Or even if you're in the area and looking for pizza, walk the extra block to JB Alberto's. I got their BBQ chicken wing appetizers which was tasty. The wings were fried and then smothered in BBQ sauce and it was definitely the highlight of my meal though a tad expensive as a $10 appetizer. Things started off on the wrong foot for this location, but improved by the end of our experience. We have been in town for a week and planned to end the trip with a Chicago treat. Since we have Chicago style pizza places back in SF, I knew that I should place my order ahead to ensure that it would be ready for dinner. We had to drive up to Glenview before dinner, so we placed our order online at 4:30, ordering a stuffed pizza and a Cesar salad, for pick up at 6:30. We received the confirmation email that the order was received right away, but as we were in Glenview, we received another email at about 6:02 pm confirming our order again. Weird since I had placed it awhile ago. When we arrived at 6:28, my father went in to retrieve the pizza and was told that there had been a problem with the systems and our pizza wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. WHUT? I went into the store and asked (kindly) for an explanation. They explained that the order went to corporate, but not to their store, and that they had just entered the order. That's nice, but I'm hungry. I asked them what they could do to remedy the situation. Angel, offered to remove the price of the salad from my order. I countered that they also deliver the pizza, since we were now inconvenienced because of the error on their part. He agreed and said that my refund would be on my card in 2-3 days. Boooooooooooo! This was the very first restaurant that I went to upon arriving in Chicago, but what a horrible way to be welcomed to Chicago. Well, I ordered a personal sized deep dish pizza, with chicken sausage, I think, and a small side salad. The salad came out first, it was tiny and cute, very tasty. The pizza came out almost an hour later and I was so excited to eat it until I saw cotton fibers or cloth fibers resting on the top my pizza! Not only were the fibers on my pizza, they were on top of my sorority sister's pepperoni deep-dish as well. We were disgusted! Our server came out to look at the pizza, she saw the fibers and said that maybe it was parmesan cheese O_o We didn't buy that, so she went to get her manager. The manager confirmed that she saw the fibers as well, but that she didn't know what they were, yet they could be parmesan cheese......again.....O_o Ultimately, we didn't pay for a thing, although we still wanted to give our server a tip, but she couldn't accept it because she was still in training. Giordano's online ordering system is now working and does honor their emailed coupons. Tried "no contact" delivery and it worked well. Prepaid online including the tip and the delivery person left them on a small plastic table we have outside the door, and rang the bell so we could bring them in. Pizza boxes were sealed in a large clear plastic bag, which minimized the hands handling the cardboard but the added humidity made things pretty soggy. Might not order deep dish until the COVID-19 crisis has ended, but the thin crust pizza was excellent. Delivered within 5 minutes of the requested time. We dined in on a Wednesday around 1:30pm and the service was wonderful. We had the option of ordering lunch, (personal deep dish and salad for $8 and comes quickly), but my daughter had never been here before so we chose the original, made to order, deep dish. Giordano's is fairly consistent across the locations and there is no other crust like theirs. If you haven't been here, it's an experience. We also ordered the Caesar salad, entree size, which was perfect for three of us. I'll also throw them a shout for having a decent and inexpensive Malbec on their wine list. I usually wold t order wine at a pizza joint but Malbecs rarely steer you wrong. (If you like red) If you're rating the pizza itself, you have to give five stars because there isn't another around like it and the quality is maintained. I've never done a carry out or anything else on the menu because their deep dish is a dining-in, reason to come here for me. read more

Already had Malnati's, Gino's, and Labriolas, and decided on Giordanos tonight since it was walkable from our Airbnb. This is the one I had to write about! We were so pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of our meal! The entree size salad came perfectly seasoned, with heaps of freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. Salad dressing was delicious! Our deep dish had a delicious sauce that again was perfectly seasoned - not too sweet. The mushrooms were fresh and the (added) sausage was chunky and tasty. The small thin crust margarita was finished in a flash by my son and daughter-in-law! The restaurant itself was lacking a bit in ambiance. I suggest dimming the lights. Service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be going back to Giordanos for seconds! read more
