Excellent pizza! My only complaint about this place is the long lines and the wait. The guys who hand you the pizza can also use some kindness, but despite them the rest of the staff is warm and friendly. The ordering system must change. People walk the line without knowing what they want and this holds the entire process. This is not going to be a quick lunch but if you have at least 1 hour go for it. There isn't a better pizza place around. Pizza is freshly made, dough is nice and crispy. Sauce is not overloaded in garlic (if has at all -- it shouldn't to be called red sauce) and the ingredients are fresh. My favorite place in town and I go at least twice a week. 4 stars only for the lack of better parking and better ordering system. Online orders should be made available soon. Update: Bumped to 5 stars now that they have online, phone and app ordering system! Parking is still an issue, but that's not going to change, it will only get worse. read more

The service at the Blaze location in Concord last night was great but my pizza was undercooked. I didn't notice until after and caught a stomach bug. Please make sure the pizzas are fully cooked before serving to customers even if it takes a few minutes longer. read more

Blaze pizza is very fresh and tasty pizza. The atmosphere and the way you order is similar to a subway. You go through a line and decide what you want on your pizza. There are tons of options, and it's baked in a wood fired oven which makes the pizza delicious. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is, for me, I didn't like how they served this pizza. You get up from your seat and are not called over a microphone, rather your name is shouted out. While yelling my name really isn't a big deal, it can get quite annoying when it's busy and it continues during your dining experience. read more

Needed a quick lunch while in concord and had heard about this place. Very busy Sunday after church lunch crowd. Neat concept. They have a set order menu or you can build your own. They only have one size for order in, but apparently a larger one for take out only. You get to pick toppings and base sauces, good variety of all, including cheeses. They cook it fresh, and then you go get it from the counter. Great crust, thin and crunchy. And the red sauce had good flavor. We got the veggie pizza. The desserts at the check out counter looked great , s'mores cookies, and a olive oil brushed brownie. But I didn't get one! I checked in on my yelp app, and got a free drink coupon come up, so I went back to check out to redeem, and the less than friendly manager Sean, said they don't honor it as it has no bar code, even though there was a mark as redeemed section. It was just a drink, but he was adamant not to give it. Kinda disappointing. Not very hospitable as a manager. Never cracked a smile anytime I was there either. I am literally going back and forth with the manager of Blaze pizza who tells me there's no phone number to contact a corporate manager and that I would have to send an email. I got my food at 3:49pm and ate my pizza. It was around 8ish and I was just now about to eat my salad when I found a bug in it. The server had me waiting for the manager as she was in the back mopping the floor and told me to wait a minute. I drove 20 mins back out to this place so I am livid. I tried calling twice and got the voice mail twice. The second time I was going to just leave a message when the mailbox was full. I am sitting here as she has gotten on her cellphone to go to the back to speak to her manager. Mind you, I requested to speak to her manager and there was no number. All she did was unapologetically give me a refund so if you eat here please check your food, prior to digging in. Her manager laughed when I wasn't satisfied with a simple refund. Let the record reflect that Blaze enforces its mask mandate. A young lady around 20 walked in without her mask on, and as soon as she hit the door she was advised that she had to have her mask on to be served. The young lady replies that she has a medical condition, asthma, so she can't wear a mask. Insert eye roll You're not going to die from standing in line to order pizza for 5 minutes. I'm judging and I don't believe it. That being said, she was advised that there's an app for that. Then the girl says that she has a free pizza and that sometimes the app doesn't work. At this point, the manager came from behind the counter and offered to help the girl with the app, and advised that she can utilize curbside pickup, but that she would NOT be served without a mask on. And the girl left and presumably ordered using the app. I was impressed with the manager's professionalism, but firm approach. So kudos to them. Now, onto the pizza. They do a great job being generous with the toppings. I wish I would've taken a picture. It tasted great. Best pizza ever.... okay second to one I had in Italy. I love Blaze. It's now my go to for pizza. I eat here at least every other week. My husband loves it, and he likes NY Style pizza, while I love Chicago. Actually, gotta put Blaze behind Giodano's in Chicago. My experience at this location has been horrible to the point where I'm writing this and don't even want to eat my food. It took forever to order when there were 4 people up front being immature and working. Then once they were ready to take our orders, they were still unprepared. Then the girl with the mini locs (Brittany) who was playing and cleaning forgot to put the flour on the base board for my pizza and then she burned my garlic knots. The oven guy was sweet and made things a little better. I stated my concerns and I will not come back to this location. Wow. A great big disappointment at Blaze today. My wife and I always share a gluten-free pizza crust. She loads her half and I load my half with ingredients to our own liking. For some reason unknown to us, the cook tore the crust while cooking it. He had to make a new one, which is ok, except the new one he made only had half the ingredients we normally get on one. I'd been wanting to try Blaze, and I finally did. It won't be my last visit either. I love pizza, and I thought this was great because I could choose all of my own toppings. Better yet, I don't want to eat a full pizza, so they have an option to get half pizza and a side salad instead. I recommend that option, if you aren't incredibly hungry. It was very easy to order and quite delicious. This place is always busy (so it seems), so make sure to expect to stand in line for a little bit. I visited on the grand opening day and I must say standing in line for almost two hours was well worth it! Blaze is a super casual, make your own pizza place. The pizzas came out fairly quickly, and it was relatively cheap too. Efficient assembly line. Have been looking forward to this place finally opening since hearing about it. The area has several other pizza options in proximity however this is the a much different concept than traditional pizza. The Build your own $8.25 option allows to use unlimited toppings. You also have the option of the standard thin, a rising crust or gluten free. Two things I would do differently: Avoid the balsamic drizzle as it was quite strong and took over the flavor of some of the pizza. Get a drink. This was my 1st visit to a Blaze and I was impressed. The line moved a bit slow but once they fire up your pizza it takes no time. The value you get is amazing. I got the simple pie (cheese pizza) for $5. That same pizza frozen would be $7-$8 at Harris Teeter. It's also one price for as many toppings as you want which is unheard of in the pizza world. The thin crust (fewer calories :) has the perfect amount of crisp to it. There weren't big burnt spots like you get at some pizza places. We ordered 2 pizzas (1 with toppings), a chocolate chip cookie (amazing) and 2 drinks and our bill was less than $20. You simply can't beat that for hot, quality pizza. read more

When I realized this location was opening I was so excited , as this is close to home. Unfortunately last night I was disappointed. I came in and the line was the typical Blaze line, but there were several things happening where you could tell they were really overwhelmed and underprepared for the busy Concord Mills area. They were pressed to get fresh dough formed, the toppings were being refilled slowly and there was only one register open. The team member managing the oven was being ignored and there were a couple people behind the counter who didn't seem to know what to do , and needed a lot of direction . After a long wait I was told my pizza needed to be 're-fired' because it stayed in the oven too long . I waited some more time and saw a pizza come out of the oven that looked what I had ordered and be placed on the cooking rack. Then I stood there and watched several other pizzas come out and get sliced and served to customers. When I mentioned I think I saw my pizza sitting there, I was told " I have no way of knowing that's your pizza." After waiting a few more minutes , and watching others get served their pizzas ( some of which were also re-fires) , they figured out that that pizza was mine, and gave it to me. A cold pizza. So I give this location one star because it is conveniently located near a lot other things, but I will say this shopping center does not have enough parking for all that's going on. I might give this location a try in a couple of months and maybe order online or come in the middle of the day, but after my experience last night, I would say to go back soon is not worth it because they are so 'new' and haven't nailed down their process. read more
