I was unfortunately quite disappointed with my recent experience here. I preordered a pizza for pickup to save time, but still experienced a notable wait. Additionally, I had requested a light bake for my child, but the crust arrived quite burnt. As a constructive tip for management, the front counter could benefit from better efficiency and teamwork. One team member was working incredibly hard but became overwhelmed trying to handle seven pizzas at once with no remaining counter room. Meanwhile, a few other employees were unutilized. Having a supervisor on the floor to delegate tasks or adding a dedicated person to assist with hand-offs during busy rushes would greatly improve the customer experience. read more

Decided to take a little 30 minute drive out of my way to grab some blaze pizza for lunch today. My experience here was underwhelming let me explain - upon entering the establishment, the worker announces to me that it will be a 15-20 min wait just to order. And it wasn't a kind, apologetic approach - it was standoffish and a bit rude. She appeared to be slammed with online orders and was the only employee clocked in at the time, so I can understand her frustration. Although I'm running short on time, I was already there so I decide to wait it out. After a 30min wait, my order comes out. I asked her for some ranch and hot sauce. I didn't realize it but there's an extra charge for sauces, if you would like them on the side. Free, if you get it drizzled on top. Although there is quite an upcharge - $1.75 for hot sauce/ranch (not house-made), I don't mind paying extra, BUT it would have been nice to know that at the beginning of my transaction to avoid paying twice at the end. I get home and I'm ready to dig in, open up my box and I noticed that some of the crust is missing on one of my sides. Now, I also understand that not every pizza is made perfectly, but it just added insult to injury considering the experience I already had in store. I am giving Blaze Pizza Culver City about four and a half stars in my mind, which I will round up to 5 here. My family was in from out of town and we ordered seven pizzas. They made them all there. My son does not like cheese, so his was supposed to be no cheese, and I had a pizza that was supposed to be with pepperoni, no cheese, and all my usual toppings. When I checked the boxes, one of the pizzas was wrong and was full of cheese. The important part is how they handled it. The gentleman who made it owned up to the mistake right away and said he would fix it. He remade the pizza correctly and also gave me a drink. I really appreciate when someone makes a mistake, admits it, fixes it, and moves on. That is why I am lifting the rating instead of lowering it. I used some of my points to get two free pizzas, which was a nice bonus. This time the blood orange lemonade machine was filled and working, which has not always been the case in the past. They also had a lot of staff working on this visit. Last time it felt like they were understaffed, so this was a big improvement. Overall, it was a good experience at Blaze in Culver City and I am comfortable giving them four and a half stars, rounding it to 5 on here. read more

Updated review. STILL AWFUL SERVICE! Avoid this blaze unless you order online first OR don't mind waiting 30+ minutes to place your order. We stood there in person watching one guy make at least 10 pizzas in front of us, all online orders. Eventually 2 other employees came over and helped him, but still didn't take our order. A huge line grew behind us, eventually someone spoke up and asked if they were ever going to take orders and they told us that online orders take priority. When they finally took our order, they got it wrong. We walked out. Never again. I am not posting this review in order to get an apology or something discounted/free, I'm posting it to warn others so they don't waste their time like we did. I feel bad for the employees that were building the pizzas, they looked overworked and stressed. Blaze needs a better system for in person orders. read more

I'm not sure if I was lucky but I had wonderful service at Blaze pizza on a Sunday! I ordered the 11-inch half pizza and the pesto garlic cheesy bread - it was delicious and filling! The parking is spacious and it is easy to find a spot - at least when I went. It is also free. The ambiance is pretty typical for a Blaze pizza. There is a lot of space since some people also order to go. I loved their deal for the half pizza and would get it again. read more

Came here after a workout and after having a terrible day :( the only thing I could think of was eating pizza to make me feel better. My go to is always pepperoni and pineapple but ofc my luck they were out of pineapple so I had to opt out for something else. On top of that breaking my heart, the cashier was so unnecessarily rude!! My pizza was good but I did have to pull over to the closest target to get some pineapples just to make my day a little better. Not the greatest Blaze, they just simply need more people working there. When we came in late on a Friday night, they were extremely behind on their online orders as well as in person orders. Since I worked in food service, instead of getting frustrated I felt extremely bad! The atmosphere was not great because you can tell all the workers were under great stress, and it took us 45min to get our pizzas. We ordered online and we put a gluten free pizza that said ALLERGY! And they didn't give us the gluten free pizza so one of the friends had to order a WHOLE NEW PIZZA just to be able to eat! The workers are very unpleasant! Almost all the time! Many times the pizza is under cooked! And some times there short of many ingredients!

We've come here a handful of times and are always appreciative of how attentive the staff is to our food allergies (we need vegan, GF). For example, they are willing to accomodate and use toppings from a separate bin to minimize cross-contamination which provides a big relief. This is one of our favorite joints in Culver City to grab fast-casual food! There is ample seating space and the kids love coming here for an after-school treat. read more

Wow, this is a really bad Blaze location. It took 6 or 7 minutes of standing in front of the two kids making pizzas without any acknowledgment before they asked if I had ordered yet. Uh, no? I've been waiting for you to take my order, lmao. Regardless, I was polite with them, yet the girl who ended up stepping in to make my pizza had a freakin attitude for no reason. This place is run by high schoolers and you can very much tell. The pizza bar is a complete disaster and the restaurant is filthy. The lemonade was completely out, and the coke came out as carbonated water. They're yelling at each other about who needs to clean the bathrooms while they're making the pizza. Have been eating at Blaze Pizza on and off for many years now. It's our favorite fast-fired pizza joint. We love this location -- the staff are amazing & efficient. Picked up two build your own pizzas (both vegan, one on GF crust) from here on a Saturday morning and it's was a pleasure to do so esp, because it wasn't crowded at all. Parking is easily available in the parking lot in the back. We're big fans of their vegan cheese, which is actually tasty. I'm usually the one picking out excess cheese as I'm never satisfied with the taste & texture of most non-dairy cheese.....but not here! We enjoy it so much that we even got their cheesy breadsticks - prepared with vegan cheese, garlic, and a drizzle of olive oil! Love this location, as well as their GF & original crust (both vegan), and the non-dairy cheese. I wouldn't visit on a crowded day if you are strictly vegetarian....as it's hard to ensure that clean gloves/knifes are used at every stage. read more

Really great place but the parking guy is horrible. Tried to get dinner here. Parked in the lot and the guy came out and told me I couldn't park here. Tried explaining to him I was going to get food in the complex but he didn't understand a word of English. Dude was belligerent. I post this in the hope the owner/manager will take notice. At 7pm this evening I came to Blaze after discovering that Holy Cow BBQ had permanently closed. All good because I do love Blaze. HOWEVER ... I was the only customer dining in. But, not a single table or chair was clean. They were all FILTHY!!! And you had 4 employees standing around after my pizza was made, doing nothing. One was on his mobile phone. None of them noticed that a dog was brought in ... panting everywhere. It may not matter to you as long as they all clean before they go home. But for myself, and the nice Korean family of 4 who came in at 7:30p and went from table to table looking for a clean one ... it matters. Customization is great in theory, but it's hard to enjoy your meal when hygiene and organization feel lacking. With better cleanliness and management, this place could be much better. I like this chain and this location is excellent on the busy Sepulveda corridor right at cross street Washington. I had the half and half deal for $12 and a drink. It was half meatlovers pizza and half meatball dish(2 instead of the usual 3). Both halves were delicious and I really liked the meatballs and rich tomato sauce. Service is fast and friendly. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. On 3/10 around 5:35 PM, my kids requested pizza for dinner. Instead of going to Domino's like we normally do, I decided to try Blaze Pizza for the first time, hoping it would be a good experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the complete opposite. When I walked into the store, there were no other customers at all, just me. The restaurant was completely empty, so I expected the ordering process to be quick and smooth. There were initially three staff members present. Two girls standing at the front register, Anaya and Natasha, were talking to each other. When I approached, they simply told me to order at the other end. I walked down to the other side where a young gentleman named Devin helped take my order. Devin was polite and seemed to be doing his best. I was ordering several pizzas for my family, so the order took a little time, and it was clear he was trying to handle everything on his own. While Devin was helping me, another employee walked in who appeared to be returning from break. He clocked in and then went over to the front to talk with the two girls who had been standing there chit chatting. For several minutes, they continued chatting while Devin was left alone trying to handle a larger order. It was obvious that some team support would have been helpful, especially since there were multiple employees standing around while only one person was actually assisting a customer (me). Eventually, the employee who had just returned from break, Jesus, came over to help Devin to make the pizzas. However, instead of simply assisting professionally, he made a rude comment saying, "I'm not going to work for free, I just clocked in from break." I completely understand that employees shouldn't work while they're off the clock, and I would never expect someone to do that. However, the comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. Especially considering he had already clocked in and had spent about five minutes chatting with the other employees before deciding to help Devin. What made the situation even more disappointing was that one of the employees, Anaya, was the lead during that shift according to Devin. As a lead, I would expect someone to step in, help support the team, and make sure customers are being taken care of. Instead, she remained at the front talking and did not assist Devin. She continued to talk with Natasha and just kept looking over to Devin rudely. At that point, the overall atmosphere felt very unprofessional. Standing there while multiple employees were talking, not helping, and making rude comments made the experience uncomfortable and frustrating. After waiting and dealing with this type of customer service, I decided it wasn't worth continuing the order. I canceled everything and walked out. I'm writing this review because I actually felt bad for Devin. He seemed to be the only employee who was truly working and trying to help the customer. It's unfair for one team member to carry the workload while others stand around and do nothing to support him. This experience left a very bad first impression of Blaze Pizza. Between the lack of teamwork, the poor leadership during the shift, the long wait despite an empty store, and the rude behavior from staff members, it was extremely disappointing. At the end of the day, I left frustrated, not just because I couldn't get pizza for my kids, but because of the poor customer service and the lack of professionalism displayed by three employees: Jesus, Anaya, and Natasha. Blaze Pizza should really address situations like this, because customers should not have to deal with this kind of experience when simply trying to order dinner. read more

FIRED UP ABOUT BLAZE DAY Ecstatic to hear Blaze was continuing their annual Pi Day tradition on March 14th. Usually I go to the location by The Grove, but this was on the way back from my trip to Manhattan Beach. I could already see a line when I pulled into the crowded parking lot around 12:15. Parking was so tight, people were honking and shouting. I reluctantly headed up a steep ramp and scored the last space up there. Then, I headed down the stairs where the end of the line now was. One of the employees said we would probably have to wait about half an hour. It turned out to be 45 minutes, but I chatted with the woman in back of me and the woman in front of me. Things ran surprisingly smoothly. Normally, a build your own pizza with original dough is $12.55, but on Blaze's Pi Day, it's - you guessed it - $3.14. I ordered the original crust with red sauce, and added a combo of shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan for the cheese. Feeling carnivorous, pepperoni, ham, pork, sausage and meatballs were next. Vegged out with black olives, red onions, jalapenos, spinach and mushrooms. Finished off with some roasted garlic. This place was hopping with a continuous flow of customers, but the employees were all friendly and helpful. It didn't take long for them to fire up this fantastic pie. It was so filling, half was more than enough for lunch. The other half was even better when I reheated it the next day. Being a newbie at this location, it was great to see that it's as a good as my usual. I'll be blazing over here again. read more

Don't bother coming to this location in the first hour it's "open" because it never opens on time. Writing this review from my car outside Blaze at 11:30am on my lunch break -- a full half hour after opening and doors are still locked. There's a crowd of angry customers outside. Worst part is... this is the SECOND time this has happened to me, at least a month apart. Last time the doors were still locked at 11:45 and I stood 20 minutes outside before giving up. Do better management. You be here yourself to open if you have to... people don't have infinite lunch breaks. read more

I came here for a $3.14 pizza on Pi Day and, although the line was super long, the staff was incredibly kind and patient. Employees checked in on us in line to boost our moods, and they even stayed open 30 minutes late to accommodate more people. On top of the great service, the fire-roasted pizza was incredibly tasty and fresh. There are also so many toppings to choose from; I got 10+! I visited this store at noon. The fact that the store was completely empty should've been an indication of the type of service that I would get. The person behind the counter was working on something that had nothing to do with taking care of customers. I was the only customer in the store and it was as if I didn't even exist. She directed me to the register and I told her that I would like to order a build-your-own pizza and she took my order and went back to whatever she was doing. I stood around waiting for them to work on my order so I can tell them what I would like for over 5 minutes. I just ended up walking out. I came to this location Saturday night (11/16) And this location is always super busy and this night specifically (They had a ton of online orders that came in at once plus a hugeeee dinner rush, myself included lol) I will say that although soooo busy the staff was 110% on point. It was all women staff and they all were timely, kind and moved as quickly as they could, I was so impressed. Blaze was actually my first job 10 years ago so I know how it goes too. They really communicated with one another and the guests so well and made/cooked my pizza better than most locations I've been to. That whole team that night deserves extra love and hopefully they got good tips that night !!! read more

I love the pizza at Blaze. The crust is thin and when you select your toppings you get it made exactly as you want. They are very nice,too

We got the build your own pizzas. They had only two workers when we went. One was at the register, putting toppings on the pizza, and making salad while the other was putting the pizzas in the fire and then boxing them when they're ready. Service was slow and there was a line behind me. The topping items were not listed and so it was overwhelming trying to figure out what was what and what to put on my pizza. We ending up pulling up the website menu on our phones and going off the topping list from there. It's not even our first time at blaze and it was a bit overwhelming for us even though we know how blaze pizza works. I imagine it'll be harder on first time customers. Maybe they should invest in a better menu system that actually lists the available toppings. The crusts were burnt when we got our pizza and maybe we had too much liquid toppings bc the middle of the pizza was a bit too wet for my liking. Will return to try different toppings. read more
