But don't worry, the employee followed it up with another, "Ok, what does a pizza clock do when it's hungry? It goes back for seconds!" I am not ashamed to say I laughed out loud! This place is hands down the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received - anywhere - and that means a lot to me. All the employees were super friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember their names...but now to the food. I wasn't sure about this place at first...I mean, I had kind of heard it was like Subway, but with pizza and I am not a fan of Subway. I was very pleasantly surprised! The set up is similar, where you get to choose you toppings but the quality isn't even comparable. They had amazing, fresh ingredients and so many options! I chose to build my own pizza and it turned out perfect! As I was going through the process I thought to myself "that's not much sauce" and "how is this thing going to get cooked in only a few seconds?" but my pizza was delicious! The touch of klamatta the server added was just perfect. Not only did they take an interest in me and my pizza, but all the employees were so informative. When I asked for klamatta, the employee said it was a great choice but because of the salty consistency, he would only add a few. These guys know what they're talking about. My pizza came out amazing. The crust was thin and crunchy but not overcooked and not doughy and one personal size pizza was just enough to fill me up. My date got the Meat Eater, but even though he chose a "preset" one, he was still able to go through the line and add or change topping which he thought was great. He really enjoyed his pizza too. We sat on the patio which was comfy and there is a fountain just outside that area so the sound of water was soothing as well. Been here twice. The first time the pizza was good but the crust was a little burnt. And then today I ordered online and then picked it up. I watched the guy boxed my 3 pizza's. Everything looked good. 2 of the 3 pizza crust was burnt pretty bad. If I was eating it there, I would have made them remake it. I guess I can't add a picture with this review? After coming here, i was told that Blaze Pizza is a So Cal thing and finally made an appearance in Sacramento/Gold River and later coming to Davis. Basically this place is like Chipotle or Subway, but with Pizza! We got the following: Link In, White Top, and Green Stripe. I would have to say that the White Top was probably the best, followed by Link In and Green Stripe. The ingredients were extremely fresh and the dough was baked perfectly. I would like to emphasize that there is only one size and they bake the pizzas into a thin crust only. If you are looking for some post-workout food, give Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza a try. Let me start off by saying that I am dairy, gluten and corn free....let's just say pizza seems impossible and I don't often attempt to eat it unless I construct it at home. Tonight my husband got the opportunity to come to this place. I stayed at home so he could indulge on one of his favorites without feeling that he was rubbing it in my face. If the family goes out to pizza I normally get stuck eating salad, and that's not fun or enjoyable. My husband came home with a surprise....he was able to get me my own pizza!!!! They have gluten free crust(with no corn, which is hard to find) and a dairy free cheese(super hard to find at a pizza place). I was so excited! So excited I ate half the pizza before taking a picture....hence the half gone pizza picture :) He constructed me a bacon, pineapple, mushroom and artichoke heart pizza........it was AMAZING!!!! What a great idea, the Subway of the artisan thin-crust pizza world. Getting an artisan style pizza with all the toppings you could ever want for less than eight bucks is pretty awesome to me. They cook it up real fast too, within a few minutes after I was done pointing out my toppings to the super friendly staff. The pizza compares favorably to some artisan pizza joints I've visited in midtown and land park, and about half the price for WAY more toppings. Some people complain the staff is too friendly. Can we really put a limit on friendliness?? The kids are going to love it since they can pick their own toppings, and save me the incessant complaining about how they don't like this and that on their pizza. I have an idea to get every topping they offer and see what glorious pie results, will report back soon! read more

100 STARS! Well, I would if I could. There are SO MANY OPTIONS! Compared to other build-your-own-pizza joints, Blaze is top notch. They pack the toppings on as high as you want, and have so many more choices for sauces. When finished baking, the crust isn't paper thin and flimsy as other places *cough, Pieology, cough*. During my all out pig out of scarfing this pizza down as quickly as possible, Chef Brad came by and explained exactly how the pizza was made! His knowledge was impressive! I started telling Chef Brad about all of my wife's food allergies, he said I should of brought her! He said that blaze pizza offers a gluten free, dairy free (Vegan cheese), corn free pizza! He said I could order a gluten free dough, vegan cheese and assorted toppings! So I went and made one for my wife and she loved it! I was also impressed with prices! Blaze is a family favorite! The staff are fast and super polite. There are some unique toppings that we especially love, including: roasted garlic cloves, sauteed onions, sauteed zucchini, roasted red peppers, arugula, and crumbled bacon! Lots of cheeses to choose from, too....we like to order mozzarella with either goat cheese, feta, or ricotta. Yum! It's great to dine in or take out. It travels well because it comes out of the oven sooo hot that its good eating temperature by the time you get home. They recently added some new drinks, which our family is divided on. "Make your own pizza" has a nice ring to it doesn't it? This place is so cool because you do get to customize your pizza. This place has a super casual feel to it and kind of reminds you of a cabin with a fireplace. When ordering there are some suggested combinations for pizzas, while on the other hand there's the build your own and a 1-top pizza. Basically, when you order the 1-top pizza you can choose the sauce, a type of cheese, and a topping you want. I ordered a 1-top pizza with spicy red sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms (I am a HUGE fan of mushrooms on pizzas). The pizza was baked in a decent amount of time and was delicious. The crust was nice and thin, the sauce was basically like normal red sauce but with a little spice, and the cheese was gooey and melted. There's so much variety for vegetables so it's great for vegetarian. I love the crust and how the topping don't just slide off when you try to eat it. Blaze is an awesome place to get quality pizza. I was even more excited to see that they offer gluten free crust and take extra precautions for those with allergies. When you mention you want a gluten free crust they will ask if it's for medical reasons or preference. Medical reasons will prompt them to change gloves and take extra care that your food comes into minimal contact with cross contamination. They even roll out the dough on a separate machine and let everyone in the line know that you have a gluten/wheat allergy. Aside from that, the pizza itself was amazing. I went with the Green Stripe pizza and spicy red sauce. I like spicy food so this added a nice kick but wasn't so spicy that I needed a glass of milk handy. The pizza is medium sized so you could take left overs home if you can't throw down. Most guys could probably eat the whole thing and leave full. The pizza combinations are endless and even the pickiest eater will leave satisfied. For $11 I made out with a pizza and a drink. I'd say that is a great lunch or dinner deal in my book! It was satisfying experience (ordered a delivery by Blaze website on 11/08/21). 11 inch pizza ("build your own" pizza that has many selections) was only $10.35 before tax, and it was very tasty. See the pictures for the details (ingredients, price breakdown, and pizza). The spicy red sauce was bomb! Only things I would comment on are that the pizza was soggy when I got it delivered. Also, there was no specific tracking system online or anywhere for customers to track orders for delivery (only big steps were provided. There's no basic tracking information like "pizza is picked up by the driver and it is now being delivered in 15 minutes"). Lastly, this store ended up cancelling my order (with the full refund) and made me re-order the pizza online (even though I called this store ahead to push back the delivery hours to later). They cancelled the order AFTER the driver arrived in the store and talked to them about my order. Since I already called this store ahead and the staff were "okay" to push back the delivery hours, the staff should've taken care of this in a better way without wasting the driver and my time. I hope they improve on these three matters. But for the price, it is 5 stars. read more

Blaze has A LOT more ingredients than Pie. And better quality too. Better cheeses. Applewood bacon. Mini Canadian bacon slices. Mozerella chunks. Fresh basil. Roasted garlic. Roasted red bell peppers. Spicy pizza sauce. Those are the ingredients that Pie DID NOT have. Blaze Pizzas are cooked in an oven roaring with fire. That's why it comes out so fast. And the crust is super thin. But, don't expect to get out of there just as fast because it can take a long time if there's a lot of people in line. And some of them take forever and a day to decide what to get on their pizza. Plus, the staff needs to get more organized with how they move the line. If the boys twist my arm to go again...then I'll go back. Until then...I'll be ordering pizzas from Round Table. I'm partial to their Triple Play pizza with ranch. I was introduced to Blaze Pizza over the weekend in Santa Cruz. I loved my experience at that location so much, I decided to find one closer to work. I found this location and went to try it out. The service was slower, but to be expected at lunchtime. I have two issues: 1. Cost - This location cost 11% more expensive than Santa Cruz, even thou the cost of living in Santa Cruz is 25% high than Gold River, CA 2. Amount of Topping - The location at Santa Cruz was at least double the amount of topping on the build your own pizza. Summary - Fewer Toppings for a higher price at a lower cost of living area. Got to Blaze at 12:41 to pick up and place was packed. Only 3 people working. At 12:43 I received text that my order was ready. Really? I asked the over-worked pizza girl and she said they are running behind but have my order. I kept watching and she was pumping out lots of pizzas, but not mine. The line of people coming in and ordering was given priority along with Doordash drivers, so mine was on hold. Finally got my pizza at 1:04. 21 minutes later than expected. Meanwhile, probably 20 people went through the line and received their pizzas. The food is good, but they gotta figure out logistics. Don't offer online ordering if you can't accommodate the orders. It was a pizza place in the Pieology style, where you can build your own pizza, crust, cheese, sauce, and toppings. This is a trend I really like. We tried Blaze for the first time two weeks ago, and loved it! So for our second trip we decided to try Curbside pickup as we were planning to swing by on our way to grocery shopping. We ordered three pizzas and three sodas online, and were confused when there was no option to choose which sodas we wanted. When we got to the shop and called in our arrival, my wife was told by the employee who answered the phone, somewhat rudely, that they were still working on our order. No problem, we just asked if we could get diet Cokes for our drinks, and the employee just said "Yes, sure." We waited outside, directly in front of the entrance in the Curbside parking area, for 30 minutes. At least two other curbside orders were brought out for others. Finally, I went inside to see what the holdup was...to find our pizzas and our drink cups on the To Go shelf! When I held them up and told the woman at the counter "These were supposed to be curbside?", she just said "You can get your own drinks." The pizzas were all cold and barely edible. If there had been 1) a notification on the website that you had to get your own sodas for curbside, or 2) the employee had TOLD US THIS on the phone, I would have just gone inside and waited and probably been fine with my order. But apparently the bare minimum of communication is asking too much. My wife immediately contacted Blaze via the website to complain, but they never bothered to respond, so here we are. read more

I was pretty surprised with how good the GF cauliflower pizza was. I ordered the Green Stripe and they made it exactly the way I wanted. Even the guy that was making the crusts made sure he changed his gloves thank you!). They do only throw a little bit of ingredients on the pizza prior to them baking but as long as you vocalize how much you want they will on the most part comply. We went here during PI day for the $3.14 any pizza. The line was out the door and an hour wait. It did look long, but with good company it goes by really fast. This day you usually save $5 dollar a pizza if you personalize it. It comes in one size and I ate the whole thing. Did not know if I was hungry or not. Pretty nice selection and if you want more toppings, be sure to ask for more as they will. So the family and I are off to west wind drive-in to watch a movie and decided that we want pizza as well. Searched on yelp for a pizza place on the way. Blaze pops up and has 4+ stars. We've never tried this place. I read the reviews and it looks and feels like recently their has been numerous customer service complaints. On the other hand, the good reviews always lean towards how good the pizza tastes and the overall price you pay for the pizza. We figured to give this place a try and assume that the bad reviews were one-offs and not something that occurs all of the time. It is Friday night around 8pm. The place is is not busy at all. Nobody behind me to order. I order a Hawaiian pizza and my server starts making it. His questions were very quick and he seemed like he didn't want to be there at all or make my pizza. Every ingredient he put on the pizza his response was "is that good?" Or "does that look good?" Not sure if he meant to have good customer service but his demeanor when asking those questions was pretty bad. So I won't assume. After the Hawaiian pizza was made he threw it into the pizza cooker and I started ordering a second pizza, the meat eater. He looked at me as if I was supposed to have ordered together as to not waste his time. Asking if there was anything else I was going to add to the order pausing before he started making the second pizza. The pizzas were made and now off to the cashier. Looks like the guy who helped make my pizzas clocked out while I was being helped by the cashier so no wonder the bad customer service. It was the end of his shift and he wanted to leave, I guess? Either way, not cool. The lady who helped me asked if I wanted anything else. I also got a couple of brownies and paid for my food. She smiled and said have a great day. Awesome! Yummy! We came here for a Yelp event which was completely amazing! They make their pizza's fast 180 seconds, and you get to pick what toppings and sauce you want on a thin bread of pizza. The staff was very friendly and talkative as well. As for what pizza I ended up getting, I personally tried both the sauces (spicy-red and white half/half) and it was delicious! As for my toppings, despite not being vegetarian, I truly love vegetarian pizzas so for my toppings I had mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, garlic bulbs, spinach, jalapenos, tomatoes and mushrooms. I also had a small Caesar salad and a smore. Afterwards, the executive chef came out and gave a very informative speech. I was able to learn quite a bit from it, we even had an olive oil tasting. :) Great experience for me! I really love the food here, it's both fresh and light! Service is not good, but they've gotten my order wrong on multiple occasions and have overcharged me. Also, if you are vegan/vegetarian you need to be careful because their bins are cross contaminated. This location isn't managed properly and the wait time is a lot longer than it should be.
