Gotta give it up for the gluten free options and completely customizable pizzas. I always get the arugula salad and dump it on my pizza and eat it that way. They will do a glove change for gluten free, but expect some cross-contamination. They truly do their best, but know your tolerance! Some days are better than others for me and I didn't handle the cross contamination so well last time. It was actually crazy. I understand you get busy and have online orders. But there is a long line of real people in front of you. For 30 straight minutes I stood 1st in line, with a line of 7 people behind me, they just looked at the online orders, never once looked up. I have been a patron here since their opening. Sadly I was asked to leave today because the hostess did not believe the mask I was wearing met California COVID-19 compliance. I am fully vaccinated and in compliance with the CDC and California guidelines! Per the state of California guidelines: " Cloth face coverings or masks help reduce the spread of coronavirus especially when combined with physical distancing and frequent hand washing. Californians must wear face coverings in common and public indoor spaces and outdoors when distancing is not possible" I did not want to make a scene so I left without making an issue out of the situation. I love this place! Yesterday I was a first timer but I will definitely come back. I was originally headed into Jack's but this place smelled delicious! Got the BBQ chicken pizza and the tomato & basil salad. The pizza is delicious, thin and crispy crust. The pizza is make-your-own with a few of their signature selections. The salads are pre-made but made that day so they're still fresh. They also had a blood orange lemonade, delicious but too sweet for me. I'm sure kids would love it. Fast fired is for real. It takes "180 seconds" or 3 minutes for your pizza to cook in a fancy pizza oven they load with those old Fashioned paddles. Don't be afraid to ask for it extra crispy if you like it that way. Basically, this place is like Subway sandwich but for pizza. You pick your sauce, then cheese, then toppings. My recommendations: spicy red sauce- not so spicy but big on flavor A light dusting of parmesan and blue cheese topped with mozzarella Pepperoni or bacon Roasted red peppers Red and roasted onions Chopped and roasted garlic Fresh basil Cherry tomatoes Oregano (hold the salt) Once it's baked, ask for arugula and a pesto drizzle No matter how many toppings you get, it's $7 dollars and change A basic one topping with sauce and cheese is only $6 something or other. I love everything about this place. The whole setup is like Chipotle, where you order at the counter with similar prices, but way better ambience than chipotle. Went in and said one of the pizzas was incorrect and while normally it would not be an issue my husband is allergic to red meat, so could they please remake it. The employee rolled her eyes and said yea I guess. Started to put pepperoni on it again and my husband stopped her and said the order contains no meat at all. She got mad. She grabbed another dough and asked him exactly what do you want Iike he was an idiot. He walked her through it. No apology, no refund. He asked for a refund and was told bo. Just handed him the box. I called up there to speak to a manager and I explained what took place. The employee who answered said well, file a complaint online. I asked again for a manager and the employee said oh boy, just want to be an asshole? Uh.....wow. So I did proceed to tell them to eff off and hung up. Not sure how we could have handled it any differently. Will not support this place ever again for sure. I know not one family makes a difference, but thought you should know what you could experience. My pizza had 10 slices of pepperoni (which comes to fewer than 2 slices of pepperoni per slice of pizza). There was NO cheese on the outer one and a half inches of crust all the way around. Then all these to go orders come up and the staff starts working on all the to go orders. Place is always busy but it's always clean never any stuff on the tables the help is really great especially the manager at the Gold Center place I had a really difficult time finding the Roseville because of Google Maps kept sending me to blast instead of Blaze I hope they get that straightened out because seriously Blaze rocks... If you are looking for a personal pizza, I would recommend Piology, it is just down the street from Blaze and in my opinion the crust is better. Having tried Blaze multiple times, my order has been messed up more than it was correct. For example, twice I ordered online to go and selected one of the example pizzas with white sauce. Both times I got a pizza with no sauce. Another time I asked for arugula and they put it on another persons pizza (not in my group). The staff seems to have a high turnover rate too.
