We ordered from Milan Pizza and we were pleased with the customer and quality of the food. The gal at the front who helped me was pleasant and helpful (sorry I forgot your name) but she said that she has worked there for years and you can just tell that she tries her best to provide excellent customer service. I also got her help on the phone before I came to pick up my order and asked if I could use the mail-in coupon we received. We were about to babysit and wanted to make sure our niece and nephew had fresh quality pizza! The ambiance was clean although there seemed to be a stockpile of soda on one side. UPDATE: The following day, someone from Milan called my husband personally to apologize for what happened. He told us that he had spoken with the owner, that the situation with the employees involved had been handled, and offered to remake our entire order for free. I really appreciate that they took the initiative to reach out without us having to contact them first, acknowledged what happened, addressed it internally, and made a genuine effort to make it right. This is exactly the kind of response I would hope for from a restaurant I've otherwise really enjoyed and supported, and it definitely restored my confidence in Milan. I've updated my rating to 4 stars to reflect how well they handled the situation afterward. I'm only holding back the fifth star because the underlying online-ordering issue still needs to be addressed so another customer doesn't end up in the same situation. Outside of that issue, though, their response absolutely gets 5 stars for customer service. As someone who also works in customer service, the way they handled this tells me the right people are in charge and genuinely care about their customers and their business. Milan is advertised as being open until 10 PM. We placed a pickup order through Milan's online ordering system at approximately 9:40 PM. The website was still actively allowing us to order and submit payment, with no indication that pickup orders were no longer being accepted. At 9:47 PM, my husband received an email saying the order had been "missed" and the payment was refunded. Unfortunately, he didn't see the email until he had already driven all the way there. When he arrived, the OPEN sign was still on. I've since seen in Grubhub listing an earlier cutoff for pickup orders. If Milan actually stops accepting pickup orders before closing, that is completely fine, but Milan's own ordering system needs to clearly communicate that and stop accepting pickup orders after the cutoff. **At a minimum, the website should clearly display the pickup order cutoff time before checkout and automatically disable or block orders once that cutoff has passed, along with an on-screen notice explaining that pickup ordering is closed for the night. Customers should not be able to place an order, submit payment, and drive to the restaurant only to discover that the order was never going to be fulfilled. I really hope management fixes this because I genuinely love Milan and want to continue supporting them. This was incredibly frustrating and completely avoidable. read more

Excellent customer service as soon as you enter. While me and the fam were waiting for our order, the cashier offered us watermelon to snack on -- perfect for a hot day! He also gave the option of soda or garlic bread on the house and we chose garlic bread. So rare to get anything free nowadays so that was so thoughtful! My son loved it. I need to purchase pizzas for our team at work for some team building, and Milan came through! I called at least six places close to work and either they did not open early enough (we were starting at 10:30), did not deliver, or another reason which did not work (one place actually thought I was trying to sell them something?). When I called Milan, they were helpful! They could deliver it when I needed it, provided options, and included forks, knifes and napkins. I was on the hunt for a new gluten-free pizza spot to try on my way home after some appointments and came across Milan Pizza in Rancho Cordova through Yelp. The reviews looked solid, and since it's close to my neighborhood, I figured I'd give it a try. I used the Yelp link to order directly through their website and placed an order for a medium gluten-free Hot Honey pizza and Parmesan tater tots with a side of ranch. They called me right away to confirm that I meant to order from the Rancho Cordova location, which I appreciated. They told me it would be ready in about 15-19 minutes, and since I was only about 25 minutes out, the timing worked fine. When I arrived, the place wasn't busy at all--no customers inside--which made pickup quick and easy. The staff greeted me promptly and brought out my food right away. The order looked good, but I was surprised (and honestly disappointed) that everything was lukewarm at best. It didn't seem to be kept under a heat lamp or warming area, and considering I picked it up within the timeframe they quoted, I expected it to be hot. I was tired and ready to get home, so I didn't bother addressing it there. The Parmesan tater tots were basic--not much to rave about. The Parmesan tasted more like the shaker-style cheese rather than freshly grated, so I probably wouldn't order them again, though the portion size was decent if you want leftovers. The pizza itself, though, was the highlight. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the gluten-free base was actually impressive. I really liked the flavor combo--the hot honey with the pepperoni, cheese, and meats worked well, and it definitely hit the spot despite not being hot. We started coming to Milan pizza after Round Table charged us 80 bucks for just 2 pizzas. No way! Milan always has coupons if you ask in the store or check online. We got 3 extra large specialty pizzas, 2 sets of chicken strips with bbq sauce and a ton of HOMEMADE ranches for 103 bucks out the door including delivery and tax and our tip (delivery fee is not a tip---does not go to the driver). Wasn't a fan of the marinara sauce used as it had a strange sweetness to it (kinda reminded me of the one in pizza Lunchables). Skimpy on the chicken topping (I ordered a build-your-own pizza). The side order of formaggio bread was pretty tasty. Was expecting it to be fluffy-soft like the pizza but it was more crunchy-cracker-like. Didn't mind it at all. Conveniently straightforward takeout ordering through Yelp/Grubhub. Overall I can see this as a go-to non-chain pizza spot for folks living around here (the Sunrise Blvd exit-ers off of the Highway 50) but I wouldn't say that it's a must-try. read more

However, I ordered this like two days before and paid the delivery fee too. The delivery driver apparently tried to press my wife for a tip-and when I asked to speak to him over the phone, he walked away. I rushed to the party and got him in the parking lot-he pretended like he didn't speak English and my wife misunderstood him. Very unprofessional! And I told my wife this was the place to get the pizza-let me down! What happens to that nice guy that worked in the front? I would have picked up the pizza and saved the embarrassment.
