I need to purchase pizzas for our team at work for some team building, and Milan came through! I called at least six places close to work and either they did not open early enough (we were starting at 10:30), did not deliver, or another reason which did not work (one place actually thought I was trying to sell them something?). When I called Milan, they were helpful! They could deliver it when I needed it, provided options, and included forks, knifes and napkins. They arrived right on time with the pizza and it was delicious. We ordered pepperoni, meat lovers and vegetarian. The team loved them and they were devoured in record time. My husband enjoyed the breadsticks, but I found the pizza base to be frozen and not fresh dough. The toppings were also canned and not fresh. It was just overall okay. I was on the hunt for a new gluten-free pizza spot to try on my way home after some appointments and came across Milan Pizza in Rancho Cordova through Yelp. The reviews looked solid, and since it's close to my neighborhood, I figured I'd give it a try. I used the Yelp link to order directly through their website and placed an order for a medium gluten-free Hot Honey pizza and Parmesan tater tots with a side of ranch. They called me right away to confirm that I meant to order from the Rancho Cordova location, which I appreciated. They told me it would be ready in about 15-19 minutes, and since I was only about 25 minutes out, the timing worked fine. When I arrived, the place wasn't busy at all--no customers inside--which made pickup quick and easy. The staff greeted me promptly and brought out my food right away. The order looked good, but I was surprised (and honestly disappointed) that everything was lukewarm at best. It didn't seem to be kept under a heat lamp or warming area, and considering I picked it up within the timeframe they quoted, I expected it to be hot. I was tired and ready to get home, so I didn't bother addressing it there. The Parmesan tater tots were basic--not much to rave about. The Parmesan tasted more like the shaker-style cheese rather than freshly grated, so I probably wouldn't order them again, though the portion size was decent if you want leftovers. The pizza itself, though, was the highlight. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the gluten-free base was actually impressive. I really liked the flavor combo--the hot honey with the pepperoni, cheese, and meats worked well, and it definitely hit the spot despite not being hot. I also appreciate that they offer both medium and large gluten-free pizzas, which is rare. Overall, I'd come back for the pizza, no question. Next time, I'll probably either order closer to pickup time or wait to place the order until I'm nearby to make sure it's served hot. I have to write to say how amazing this place is! Not only is the pizza delicious, the staff is amazing. New Years Eve 2020, my family was in Rancho Cordova just to get away for new years. There was an error on the order, we let them know, and they offered to replace or give us credit for another trip. 5 years later we are back in Rancho for New Years, and they honored a credit from 5 years ago! Ehh alright pizza. Best thing about it was that the pizza bread was decently fluffy. Wasn't a fan of the marinara sauce used as it had a strange sweetness to it (kinda reminded me of the one in pizza Lunchables). Skimpy on the chicken topping (I ordered a build-your-own pizza). The side order of formaggio bread was pretty tasty. Was expecting it to be fluffy-soft like the pizza but it was more crunchy-cracker-like. Didn't mind it at all. Conveniently straightforward takeout ordering through Yelp/Grubhub. Overall I can see this as a go-to non-chain pizza spot for folks living around here (the Sunrise Blvd exit-ers off of the Highway 50) but I wouldn't say that it's a must-try. read more

We paid $340 for a good amount of pizza and wings! The Food was great! They delivered the pizza on time and every pizza was nice and hot. However, I ordered this like two days before and paid the delivery fee too. The delivery driver apparently tried to press my wife for a tip-and when I asked to speak to him over the phone, he walked away. I rushed to the party and got him in the parking lot-he pretended like he didn't speak English and my wife misunderstood him. Very unprofessional! And I told my wife this was the place to get the pizza-let me down! What happens to that nice guy that worked in the front? I would have picked up the pizza and saved the embarrassment. First heard of Milan when they opened here and mailed out discount notices. Previously ordered pizzas from Mountain Mike's (combination) and Round Table (gluten-free) but both have become overly expensive. Only continue to order from Mountain Mike's when a coupon are available (and they've become more rare in recent months), otherwise we order from Milan. Wife has switched from Round Table to Milan and is very happy with Milan's taste and quality, and she is picky about gluten-free pizzas. It took a bit of experimenting with option choices but after a couple of tries, we put together a custom Milan combination pizza that is as good or better than Mountain Mike's and less expensive, even compared to MM's coupon price. Footnote: Hard to give much weight to certain negative reviews here, when the reviewer history shows they previously ordered from Domino's. read more
