I was really happy to find that Blaze Pizza has Excellent vegan options. The pizza was really good and it was prepared quickly.

There appears to be only one Yelp for multiple Blaze locations, but my review is more about the corporate office. Overall I like the food at Blaze, but the customer experience has been horrible. I did "curbside" pick up at Elk Grove. I parked the car and called the number on the sign. The guy who answered sounded confused and hung up on me. I called back multiple times, but got a busy signal. I finally went inside and get the pizza. I told the guy boxing pizzas the phone line wasn't working. I said it three times because he looked confused. I went home and discovered they gave me the wrong pizza. So I called back, but the phone was still busy. I called the order line, which goes to a central location, and explained what happened. The lady also tried to call the store, but the line was busy. She told me I have one of two options: Go back to the store and have it remade, or send an email with the subject line "Elk Grove" to info@blazepizza.com. She said Blaze pizza would compensate me with another pizza. I was skeptical that this approach would work, but it was getting late and I'd lost my appetite for pizza. I heard nothing from Blaze Pizza. Not an acknowledgement, not an apology, and certainly not an offer for compensation. A company's customer service says more about them than their product. read more

I have to say definitely avoid Blaze if you are gluten-free. Not only is their gluten-free crust disgusting (it tasted like I was eating paper), I saw so many big cross contamination issues. I seriously think Pieology does way better trying to limit cc and crust is way better. I'm not celiac just intolerant so I went ahead and tried a slice or two of my pizza. I do have a mild tummy ache this evening but I'm pretty sure it was from my dinner not Blaze. Here are the cross contamination I saw..... used the same brush for sauce. After pizza was ready threw it on the same cooling area with the gluten pizzas, no attempt to separate. Used same cutting tool on my pizza as others. i watched the whole thing quietly because I like to see how they treat this so I can write up my review on yelp. So in my 2cents while there is risk of cc anywhere I think this location took no precautions to try to limit gluten for someone with an allergy, intolerance or celiac. I really like this place. Its got a great neighborhood feel to it even tho it's a chain. In my opinion, Blaze pizza occupies the best location in the entire shopping strip ! I appreciate their outdoor patio and the awesome water fountain in front . It's literally a cool place to relax and enjoy a casual dinner during our hot summer evenings. The simple menu and ordering system is quick and stress free . Basically you pick your dough , any of the various sauces , cheese, toppings you want . They pop it in the oven and In a blaze it's ready for consumption . I love the fact it's one price for any amount of topping you want ! No nickel and diming here . They are generous with their toppings and no dirty looks when you ask for more of anything . The pizza pies are pretty bomb dot com ! And if it isn't ... Well it's your creation so only yourself to blame :) Service is wonderful . The crew is mostly young and very courteous. There's nothing I don't like about Blaze . We ordered 2 pizza's. One was skipped and mixed up with another persons. So, the line got messed up, everyone got confused, and they had to remake one of our pizzas. When they remade it they left off the Bell Peppers. My little one flipped and started throwing a tantrum for the order being messed up, he wanted his greens. So, I went back and asked the lady at the end if I could place an order for bell peppers, she told me to to ask the front of the line staff, which I did. They said I don't have to wait and I could just order it from the lady at the end, but she was the one who told me to come up front. So, I waited in the long AF line just to place an order of bell peppers (which they messed up in the first place). I just wanted my food at this point and my little one to eat, not in the mood of fighting with the kids, just want to have some peaceful food and go home (picking my battles). Luckily half way through, one of the workers was able to get me the bell peppers and let me get back to my family. So, instead of a 1 star I'm giving a 3 for salvaging the situation at the very end. read more

In a world like today with so many restaurants going out of business you would think that people would be a little more friendly and nicer after all we are giving them business. I'm very disappointed. Blaze Pizza had a promotion that if a $25 gift card was purchased,then a one gets a free11" pizza. I went in to use it & was told I absolutely couldn't order a large with & make up the difference. Okay. Then I was told that I couldn't use the gift certificate because I must first download their ap & scan the qr code. I asked what if someone can't download the ap. I do not want more aps, as following downloads of some apps, I get random calls from sales people & scammers. And there are some people who don't have cell phones, which I mentioned. Never put a person who can only say "no" helping customers, because they don't help. They stop sales. He had no intention of helping. And nope I didn't order. Just looking for an inexpensive place for lunch and came upon this place. It's an assembly line style where you tell the servers what you'd like on your pie and what size you would like. This place could be so much more if management gave a shit. Employees always look stressed out or don't even care about the people coming to your store for a service that pays your check. I see it everywhere in the comments seems like if you ask for a little more of anything it is accompanied by a groan and just making you feel like a complete dick for getting what you want. I used to see a select few who were happy and smiling but they seem long gone. Nights are the worse, wanna wait 15 minutes and probably get skimped AND TONS OF ATTITUDE because you know it's our fault your manager schedules three people to work your dinner rush. Part of the new trend of create your own pizza, it's a little bit overwhelming at first but trust me you can do this! If you're like me, you really know what you love on a good pizza. They have it all. So you walk through the line and just tell them what to put on the pizza. They have many house suggestions which you can customize to your liking. The fun is watching them slide it into the oven and cook it in like 3 minutes over a fire. What a beautiful job the guy does who stands there and beautifully crafts your pizza by turning it once in awhile then bringing it out and shouting hot! After it's out of the oven, you have the option to top it with some fresh ingredients such as arugula or an olive oil drizzle Etc. Then you carry it to your table and off you go for a delicious sensory experience. The crust is thin so the toppings really stand out. This time I tried their new offering, the hot link, which was the bomb. Pro tip... ask them to put some garlic on the crust before adding toppings. Not only is it delicious, you will never have vampire problems :-) They also have some delicious salads and a little personal pizza for the kiddies or lightweights :-) What's really cool about the place is that every Pizza is a flat rate of 8 bucks or so no matter how many toppings you put on it. The greatest pizza place in Roseville and Rancho Cordova ! You won't regret it! Fresh ingredients and you have the option to byo (build your own). Their cheesy bread is also delicious. I been eating here since they opened. I would recommend going to Roseville and Rancho Cordova. I always tell them to add more cheese because their cheese can be sparse unless you tell them to add more. Another thing that's helpful is to tell them to spread the toppings. Great place for a snack, or meal, but I believe that two pizzas would fill me up instead of just one. There could be things that could be better, like the employees---they seemed to have hated working there to have put on a fake smile or forcefully change their expression, which it was kind of awkward to see. For lunch, the place was pretty empty, which was great but I believe that eating your lunch wouldn't consume much time as it does take only '180' seconds to cook and it's practically finger food also. Menu was straight-forward and simple, it wasn't too complicated if you happen to have trouble interpreting large menus at restaurants. And my pizza was great, everything tasted fresh and worth the money that was paid for. Ambiance is nice here with the outdoor seating by the fountain. Pizza was top notch...made it myself....this place has fresh mozarella balls to make any pizza the best it can be. Okay, you guys ... I tried Blaze, again, over the weekend, and I was mind-blown. Absolutely mind-blown! I always go to Pieology because it's closer to me but they don't have vegan cheese and lately, I've been trying to eliminate the last dairy item I eat (cheese!) I decided to treat myself to some pizza and immediately, thought of Blaze. But, I'll be honest, I was hesitant to try out their vegan cheese and started looking at Yelp reviews to see if there was anything negative said about it. I found nothing. So, I decided to dive head first and try it out. Here's my order: gluten-free crust, classic red sauce, vegan cheese, roasted garlic, red onions, chicken, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese (my stomach can tolerate it), and pesto drizzle to top it off. I was so hesitant to try it with the vegan cheese because I've heard that vegan cheese is just generally gross but it was absolutely to die for! I'm not sure if it's the goat cheese that balanced it out (I'll have to be brave and try it next time without the goat cheese) but it was absolutely the best pizza I had eaten in a looooong time. Since I got the gluten-free crust, the pizza came out (with tax) to $12.12, which isn't bad at all, considering you get unlimited toppings. They also don't charge extra for the vegan cheese, which is another plus. If you're in the mood for pizza, definitely try out Blaze. You won't be disappointed! You are a veggie lover and your spouse is a meat lover no problem you'll eat together happily with separate pizzas. You can order the make your own or a pre-designed pizza from the menu board. Making your own is really addictive because it can be whatever you personally like together. They have several sauces, numerous veggie toppings, different kinds of cheese , and a variety of meats. Add basil, salt, oregano, or whatever suits you. Now they may only put a wee bit of pepperoni so ask them for more. Ask for more of any topping as they are not mind readers. Want a sprinkle of blue cheese or a layer of mozzarella no problem. Get specific like pineapple in the middle or five pieces of sausage total. They put your name and a number on your pizza to ensure you get yours. Try their blood orange lemonade in the no straw needed cups to wash down your creation. Over past three days my son and I visited three local pizza places within the 95670 zip code: Blaze, Pieology, and Mod Pizza. We rated each on taste, customer service, and quality re prices. Although all three were very comparable in regard to pricing blaze ironically was the most expensive yet rated the worst in each category especially taste and customer service. In fact Blaze Pizza had the WORST customer service I've ever experienced(rude and disrespectful despite our attempts to be friendly). Blaze was extremely skimpy on ingredients of all three and actually burned my pizza to a crisp( see photo). Pieology and Mod were very equivalent regarding customer service in that both had exceptional customer service. Both Pieology and Mod were generous with the toppings-perfect amount actually, not too much but not skimpy. You really can't go wrong with visiting either of these places the only significant difference was that gluten-free crust at Pieology was just a little bit softer but other than that Pieology and MOD both get A+ and stay away from Blaze!!! read more

The pizza at blaze is always fantastic! I come here often for lunch and it has everything to do with the pizza. Today the service was also spectacular. Sarah came over to my table after I had started eating and made sure everything was tasting great and we didn't need anything else. PIEOLOGY DOESN'T EVEN COMPARE. Anyone who thinks it does is dumb. I just discovered the double crust here. Oh my goodness gracious! It took my Blaze experience to a whole new level!!! The ingredients are so quality too, the thicker crust made my pizza incredible. My favorite part is that you can literally have any topping. If you pay for the make-your-own pizza, you can do whatever your heart desires with the crust. My favorite part of the toppings is the cheeses. I love to put meats and roasted garlic on my pizza, but the cheeses they have make it so good! I always put on dollops of fresh mozzarella, feta, goat cheese, gorgonzola and parmesan! I always seem to be helped by Sarah when I go to Blaze. She's got some of the best customer service I've ever seen! She's knowledgable about all the ingredients. I remember her because once I came in to order for my sister (a vegetarian) and myself. I was saying that I didn't know what to get for my sister because she didn't eat meat and she helped me design her a delicious pizza with some of the vegetarian options that Blaze offers. She always helps me with a smile and I always admire how well she seems to treat all of her customers. Customer service really goes a long way with me, as it does for many other people, and Sarah does an AMAZING job with this. The few times I've come in and been helped by Sarah, my experience has been nothing less than extremely pleasant! I urge everyone to go to Blaze, not just for the unique and delicious experience of creating your very own pizza, but because of the competitive price and the customer service I've experienced from employees like Sarah here! I was one of those crazed pizza lovers (or just a cheapskate) standing in line on National Pi Day, waiting patiently to build- my- own pizza pie for $3.14. The line wrapped out the door, along the building, around the fountain...to grandmother's house we go...oh, ok, just kidding, the line wasn't THAT long. The staff is usually very helpful, polite, and friendly. The location is clean and well kept. Abundant parking in a large shared lot. Friday nights at dinner time it is swamped. Only complaint keeping this review from being 5-stars is that when you ask for artichoke hearts on the pizza, the employees take one or two hears and peel it apart placing only a minuscule amount of artichoke on the pizza. This obviously owner driven practice = CHEAPO and for this the review is only 4-stars. Fix this bad practice, that is not actually saving them much money and this would be a 5-star review. read more

I had made a gluten free pizza crust since i never tried one. i had requested half red and half white and mozerella cheese, ricotta cheese, ovialini mozerella cheese as well, meat ball turkey, grilled chicken, roasted garlic, spinach, bell pepper,onions, mushrooms, red onions, jalepenos, and grilled zucchini too. The pizza came out so colorful and filled i was very happy with it. The pizza was crispy on the outside when i was eating it. when i got to the middle the crust was soggy and was falling apart. I think its because i put too much stuff in it, compared to my friend who put less ingredients and wasnt as soggy. The wax paper was soaked and was ripping when i started to cut it. Overall i do like the gluten free crust and it tasted good. I heard some other mixed opinions about how they like the sauce better from pieology. Also heard someone mention how they like pieology crust better. To me i like this place better overall and its a very nice place to bring kids and family to eat pizza and have a personal customized pizza. Also i had a arugula salad with beets and olive oil vinegrette with toasted almonds and goat cheese. The salad was very simple and good and it was the smaller size salad and it costs 5 bucks for it. I like to have a salad and pizza which is a great combo. I like to have more greens. They also serve bottle beer here so thats a plus. I had a red trolley ale. They also serve bluemoon and red apple cider as well. The also have some bomb blood orange lemonade which is sooo good. I like to mix it with sprite. I heard they have a daily lemonade each day with different flavor so i am excited to try it soon. Also rhe smores cookied here was ok. The cookie was on the bland side and it wasnt sweet or anything. But the middle was filled with chocolate and marshmellow. The cookie was a 3.5 out of 5. Wisht the cookie was kind of lighten sweetend. Oh they also warm up the cookie for you if you request it. Overall friendly workers here and are helpful . They all had great smiles and are ready to serve us. They also had. A nice patio outside too. I suggest they need a heater tower outside because on chilly nights it would help. Overall comfortable seating.
