Pizza was good but the workers made it miserable to order. Every worker down the line is very rude and hostile when you ask for toppings and snapped at me for asking for chicken because she had to grab it from below and refill the chicken during the ordering process. I have received good service, but there are times where workers give attitude for asking for more ingredients, barely add any toppings, don't add toppings properly so they are only placed on one area, and pizza cut oddly so there are giant slices and tiny slices. I'm sort of new the OC area since I started college in the area about 1.5 years ago. I decided to go to blaze because it's one of my favorite pizza places. It was at this place where Vicky, an employee working at this establishment, was very friendly to me and served me well. She even picked up my plate since I had to leave in such a hurry for my class. Such etiquette can only be supported through how the workplace is structured. I have no doubt that I will come by more often because not only was I provided with really great customer service, but the quality of my pizza was really good. Pay and get your pizza within a couple minutes. Fastest pizza process ever! I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, italian sausage, mushrooms and garlic. I will say that I'm not TOO big of a fan of pizza. But I have to say this is one of THE top pizzas that I have ever had. However, the crust did taste burnt even though it wasn't. It's probably because of the way they cook it. The pizza was flavorful. I also had this pizza nearly cold because I had to eat if after getting back to my apartment. But it was SOOO good nearly cold that I bet it's even better when it's fresh. The crust was nice and thin. I do have to complain about the girl who gave me the pizza though. I had asked to get it to go but she put it on the plate to eat in. I asked for a box and she said "oh it's over there" which I think is so rude because other people didn't have to pack their pizzas themselves. I really want to emphasize how good their pizzas are. This place is a family favorite for us. The pizza is drop dead amazing! Although the kids who prepare the pizza always seem a little dense, they get it done and it never disappoints! Went there with family and friends, started off with a warm greet at the door (by the owner Gregg) and promptly helped at the counter to start my "make your own pizza" sooo many choices (all good too) and if you ask for more, they are more than happy to do so with out making you feel guilty!! minutes after I paid for my pizza low and behold it was ready! The service was bad at first there are about 7 people behind the counter ignoring the people in line for about 5 minutes but once the woman came over she was nice. My friends and I are split between Blaze and Pieology, but I would pick this place, hands down. There's always a line out the door during lunch time, but the service is fast. Probably wouldn't be good if I got into the habit of drinking before class. Before I explain what happened, I would like to make it clear that my experience was ruined by just ONE employee- everyone else working at the time had great customer service and were all very friendly. However, at 9:02 pm on Saturday March 23, the young Hispanic lady (with a nose ring) that was working at the first cash register was extremely rude. For context, I had ordered the "meat eater". When she clarified my order she had said "BBQ chicken". I was afraid that my order had been mixed up with another customer so I had politely asked, "Wait, barbecue chicken? I think I ordered the meat eater". She replied, "it's the same price" with an extremely rude tone; she answered me as if I was stupid and was already supposed know this. It gets worse. I had come to support fund raising for a local club, and the flyer stated that it lasted until 9 pm. I had arrived at 8:30 and waited in line for 30 minutes. By the time I had reached the cashier to pay it was 9:02. I showed her the flyer and asked if I could apply the fundraiser, and she- once again with her rude tone- said purposefully quietly, "that ended at 9 pm." After a slight pause, I wanted to clarify what I heard so I asked again politely, "Wait so we can't use it? We were waiting in line for a while." She looked at me and without saying anything turned to her coworker to ask about it. It was clear that she was too lazy to cancel the transaction and change it when her coworker said it was okay to apply the fundraiser. She mumbled the price very quietly, and because I couldn't hear her I asked her to repeat it. She answered in an extremely irritated tone as though she had said it 5 times. Although in the end she did let me apply the fundraiser, it wasn't without her extremely rude and uncalled for attitude. During this interaction she rolled her eyes and was clearly annoyed- even when I had only acted politely towards her. She should have known that the line was moving very slowly and that people had been waiting in line way before it turned 9. Finally, when handing me the receipt and leftover change, she said nothing. Overall, she had horrible customer service that completely ruined my experience. read more

I gotta say, this blaze is just a bit farther from my house than the fashion island location but the service was SO MUCH better that its become my new hub for pizza. Ive always liked blaze's pizza, but the atmosphere at this UCI location really elevated my whole experience. Its so nice have high energy, extremely helpful employees as you go down the food line. It really makes it feel like your pizza is being made with that extra something special. I could tell the manager must've had a great deal to do with the energy levels being so high. If I remember correctly his name was Zach and as soon as i got to the register he just immediately was able to spark up a pleasant conversation. I was already sold on coming back, but it wasn't until he walked up to the table me and my wife were at with a free cookie to thank us that I decided I am never going anywhere else for pizza again. 5 stars! read more

The best Pizza anywhere....fresh, made to order and perfectly fired......I tell everyone about this place. What really sets them apart as a business is their team . They can work a line of 50 people out the door in under 15 minutes and do it all with an attention to detail and a smile for their Customers. And this place is rockin' all the time.
