Great place! Fast and convenient Pizza. We have to order Gluten free crust for my girlfriend who has a Ciliac and the crust was excellent. This is a huge plus for individuals who have to, or chose to, diet Gluten Free. Also had regular crust for myself and was delighted with both pizzas. Staff was friendly but not over hyped which I really appreciate. Price point is fair too but if you are looking for a finer dining experience there are other, better options. We went last Friday night. Place was packed. We had been once before and it was ok not great. Good enough for a quick bite. This time was poor enough to discourage us from going back. My BBQ chicken pizza was bland and tasteless. If it weren't for the BBQ sauce it would have had no taste at all. My wife's Pepperoni was greasy. Crusts on both were thin and flavorless. The new pesto knots we tried also left a lot to be desired. Dry. Price is cheap. But I think this is a case of you get what you pay for. Go next door to the Rusty Bucket. I was pleased to see that the original gluten free crust returned to the menu, so I went back to this location for the first time in a long time. Management must have changed since my last visit: I asked for a crispy crust, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Crust was flaccid. Not enough sauce or cheese and barely any mushroom on the pizza. After my pizza came out of the oven, the "cutter" walked away from it to stand at the cash register and let my pizza get cold until the man attending the oven (looked like the manager) could get someone else to cut it and give it to me. Visited blaze recently with the in laws and had a great experience. For 4 adults and a child the meal was around $50 which is very reasonable for the quality of the meal. It was easy to order and we got our food fast, even at dinner rush on a Saturday night. Ingredients were good quality and over all it was a great experience and we will be back. read more

I first tried Blaze back home in California, and I fell in love. It became my favorite pizza place. You can add whatever you want- it's like the Subway of pizzas, and it's on a thin crunchy crust. So when I heard it was opening in Sarasota (where I live for school) I was so excited! Opening day they were giving free pizza but the line was over an hour long and I had an exam to study for. I came a few days later and I was so let down. It seemed like there was 20 people behind the counter and they all seemed incompetent. I got the art lovers pizza, which is one of their signature pizzas. First, they put on about a tbs of cheese and I had to ask for more. My boyfriend asked for more cheese 3 times and still there wasn't nearly enough. I asked to add mushrooms (not on the signature art lover) and the guy behind the counter took a one sliced mushroom, broke it in 5 pieces, and spread it out on the whole pizza. GUY, that mushroom isn't coming out of your paycheck. Anyway, my party and I were pretty disappointed. I decided to give them another try on pie day because if I didn't like it again, I'd only lose $3.14 (woo, pie day!). Needless to say, Blaze won my heart back that day. So I am justifying my first sub-par experience by acknowledging that they just opened and were still getting the hang of things. And because who doesn't love pizza?! read more

Being from the pizza Mecca of the United States (New Haven, CT) this quick review is in relative terms. For $7.95, I was able to create my own pie by choosing an unlimited number toppings from an assortment including multiple cheeses, a variety of chopped meats, veggies both raw and sautéed and some other seasonings/acoutrements. I was a bit concerned when I asked one of the folks behind the line if they had anchovies and his response was "no, but we have sea salt." (I got ready to school him but thought better of it.) Nonetheless, with 25+ pizza toppings, not to have a tin of anchovies to accommodate a purist like me is a shame. The dough is not hand tossed but rather pressed in a machine, so although the resulting crust was Neopolitan thin, it didn't have the "chew" you'd expect from a deftly tossed dough that works the gluten to the right "tooth" . The results? For the price and convenience, a decent pie. Had I not been raised on Wooster St pizza from birth, in a town like Sarasota that is virtually devoid of good pizza I'd probably give this place 3 1/2 stars. That said, for the money and the convenience, I'll be back again, I'm sure. read more

I have never been more impressed with a restaurants gluten free standards than I have at Blaze. The pizza crusts are pressed in separate pans and one person makes your pizza down the line with fresh gloves. The gluten free pizza sauce is at the very end of the line to prevent any accidental gluten spoons from getting in there and your pizza is made on a section of the oven (still in the tray) away from the other pizzas. I ended up making my own pizza toppings and it was very delicious. Make sure to go light on the pizza sauce because it can over power the thin crust. The pizza was very delicious and had a great crunch to it, more than anything I was just so pleased to feel completely safe eating there. I have celiac disease and had no reaction at all. I will definitely be returning to this little chipotle style pizza place! read more

We went here on opening day when everybody got a free pizza. I had the green stripe pizza (arugula and pesto, yum) and it tasted especially good as it was free. This place is like a Q'doba, but with pizza instead of burritos. You move down the line cafeteria style picking your sauce and toppings, and then they fire it for three minutes. Today we returned even though the pizzas were no longer on the house, because the staff is super friendly and over attentive, and the line moves quickly. It's a good spot for lunch, but today they forgot to give us our s'mores pie, and I am now choking back tears of bitter disappointment. They have gluten free crust if you are into food fads. If you actually have celiac disease you probably shouldn't eat it, because there may be some cross contamination according to a small helpful sign. Food fad gluten free peeps only! Oh, they also offer vegan cheese if you are one upping the vegetarians, but still want to eat bizarre mystery soy products. No raw food crust or raw cheese options, so sorry raw foodies, but your bandwagon has been left behind. I like this place well enough, but the name makes my eye twitch. "Hey, let's be edgy and add an apostrophe to the word fired!" "Fired" is one word. Why pretend a contraction is happening? Proper punctuation is cool, guys. Always good, wood fired pizza. I love this place for a quick and delicious bite. My absolute favorite is the red vine with arugula on top, but whenever I ask for arugula they always forget and I have to tell the person who cuts it to add it but other then that I recommend! read more

Came here Saturday evening with some friends and loved it! A little over whelming at first (think chipotle for pizza). They do 11" personal sized pizzas cut into 6 pieces. We did a 'build your own' for $7.95 which was unlimited toppings. There are about 4 different sauces, as many types of cheese, and more toppings than you can imagine. They cook in 180 seconds, per their sign. We both got a salad (we could have shared one). The caesar was alright, the hubs had one with mozzarella and tomatoes with a tangy balsamic dressing. They have a plethora of veggies as well as vegan cheese. This place is often packed but the lines seem to move quickly every time I have been. This was our first visit & we were very pleasantly surprised! Staff was very friendly, a pizza with fresh unlimited toppings is only $7.95, & the place was immaculate! If there is a down side, it's that the tables & chairs inside are sparse which make it noisy. Also, our pizzas were very good but we noticed that they cook them all the same way which may not appeal to some. Overall, we enjoyed it & will definitely be returning. Well I have to start by saying the staff here is very nice and do a great job . However standing in line behind me and my two children was the general manager Scott. He decided to tell my 4 year old that is seats are new and not to be kneeling on it . I thought a couple things about this a. He is 4 and had no clue what he was saying and b. If he was upset about my child on his new seats then should have approached me , his mother . Both me and my husband have extensive background in running restaurants . This man was very unprofessional , also it was lunch rush! Why was he even in line at that time and not actually helping his staff. read more

The only reason they got 3 stars is because of the cleanliness...Dirt very visible under the soda cabinets and tables, bathroom was disgusting, people handling food had their hair hanging down over the food with no hair nets. Plus it was our first time there and we were not sure what to order, the cashier was very edgy, not informative or helping.
