This was my second time at Blaze, first time at this location and the first time for my husband. We went around 6pm- no line to order and food was out pretty quickly. I had the salad pizza with ceaser salad- pizza crust was delicious and cooked to perfection, salad was ok, it had good flavor but some of the pieces of lettuce were on the verge of turning and it wasn't as crisp and crunchy as I normally like my lettuce. My husband enjoyed his pizza but was a little confused on how the process worked as far as building your own pizza. I don't know if we missed it but the sign only gave the option of their signature pizzas or the option of plain pizza (cheese and sauce) or 1 or 2 topping pizzas. That was a little confusing at first because he wanted more than 2 toppings and wasn't sure if there would have been an extra charge. Drink options had a great variety! Starting to think most people in Sarasota have little to no taste buds. Blaze Pizza is the single worst thing I have ever eaten. Seriously If you like the taste of burnt, smelly, moldy dish rags then this is the place for you. I tried a meat pizza and would give it a solid one. Then tried my wives pizza de resistance or should I say "coup de gras"... bbq chicken pizza.... Yuuuuuuuccccch... spewed that garbage out of my mouth so fast I thought I was spitting up bleach. Really! The single worst thing I have ever tasted. Other people seemed content with their burnt messes (obviously some of those without taste buds). The people giving this place rave reviews need to try pizza in NY, Chicago, Ottawa or pretty much any other place, then revisit their reviews. Blaze never lets us down. Always excellent service and quality. My son had requested his be cooked for a shorter amount of time due to sensory issues, and the restaurant made a mistake. This is a fantastic place if you want a great customer experience with great pizza. Scott and Samantha were the best!!!! They really know how to take care of the customer. For $8.45 you can build your own pizza.. add as many toppings as you want and even add fresh basil and arugula at the end. :-) A plus is they can paint the crust with pesto. Had to wait about 5-7 minutes. But cool that you can change your mind if you want to eat at cafe. Good pizza. Liked the ultra thin crust which was 'flash cooked' with flames under solid surface. For my tastes, Blaze serves an excellent pizza. We are regulars at our local shop in California and the meal here was just as good. I favor the simple pie with arugula as a finish, but the offered toppings are all high quality. The one available size fits my appetite. Loved my first experience with Blaze! I'm thrilled that I was able to order gluten free crust, and that I was able to get dairy free cheese at the same place, and it was a restaurant! I love pizza, but getting both of these options at the same location is so rare (outside of a frozen pizza from a health-food store)! You pick your crust and sauce and then they take you down the line for toppings and then they fire your pizza while you wait. They even asked me if I wanted / needed them to change their gloves for my dairy-free cheese. (This is something many places forget.) My crust was thin and crispy, and everything was very fresh. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it was my first time here, I was a little confused and I could have used some guidance. I will be back! Second time there, brought the kids this time. Very flavorful, I got the green vine with the spicy sauce. Great drink selection. My kids enjoyed it too. The servers were friendly, but the girl that they had at the very start of the line didn't seem all that knowledgeable. Asked her if they had shrimp and she said that they only had pizza. Ok.. sauce is definitely super sweet which is the cheaper way to produce quality sauce.. ppl are friendly pizza crust thats pressed in a machine never EVER tastes as good as hand tossed..also took about 15/20 minutes for the pie which is about the same as an authentic italian/pizza place but isnt this to supposed to be fast fired chipolte style pizza??.. but i think that was mostly due to error by the cool as he kept skipping my pie..lol.. read more

Husband and I tried Blaze for the first time today after many recommendations. We were not disappointed. The serving size was generous, the ingredients all looked awesome and fresh, all the staff we encountered were very bubbly and friendly even though it was super busy during Sunday lunch. We both did a build your own pizza which comes with unlimited toppings for $8 and some change. For meat we both got chicken and bacon, which were great, and each of us got a different selection of veggies to top it off and everything was super fresh. I got the classic crust and my husband got the thick crust, both were delicious and perfectly cooked. I also loved their fresh blood orange lemonade! So good. We will be back. read more
