BLD Diner- was looking for a place to get some good breakfast on Saturday and stubbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Definitely happy with the choice. Place was crowded which was expected for a Saturday and even with the place full the wait was only around 10 minutes. Once we sat down someone poured our waters but then took a bit for a waiter to come take our orders. Waiter wasn't friendly but not unpleasant either. After we placed our order the food came out quickly. We both ordered the Chicken and Waffles and were very happy with the choice! The waffles were light and crisp, not soggy at all, and had a sprinkle of powdered sugar. But the chicken was the best part! They were nugget shaped and the breading was very flavorful and the chicken was moist. Only thing could say is that the pictures we had seen on Yelp of the dish previously all have different variations of the chicken in amount and shape. Had a different expectation for what it was going to be but the taste definitely made up for it. It comes out a bit plain but after adding the butter and maple syrup it completely elevated it. Great place for some diner food. I would recommend the crab cake eggs Benedict, which is delicious and has lots of crabmeat. The English muffin is well toasted. You have several options for substations, which I love! For ex you can go healthy and substitute your home fries for asparagus or spinach! Not a lot of diners offer that. You can alternatively substitute your home fries for French fries too (which are pretty good). The portions are big. I also tried to the Nutella banana French toast, which I'd give a 4/5. It's very good but they don't put enough Nutella on it (just drizzled on top). So I would suggest you ask for extra Nutella if you're a chocolate lover Food comes out quick. Service is excellent. It does get busy sometimes on the weekends but it's hit or miss. There's plenty of seating inside. There're coat hooks next to booth seats, so ask for the booth seats in the winter read more

Decided to try a new place for a Saturday morning breakfast. Coming from the Bronx we need some fresh options. This was conveniently located near the Larchmont Trader Joe's so we figured we'd give it a try. We arrived around 10:30am and were immediately seated. Service was consistent and friendly. We were offered drinks twice and received our coffees within minutes. The menu is smaller than your typical diner but has everything you'd desire. We both ordered savory. I ordered a Grand Slam which had two eggs, ham, bacon and sausage, potatoes and toast. The sausages are thick, mild and have a delicious crispy skin. The potatoes are diced small, seasoned and fried with peppers and onions. They were screaming hot - be careful not to burn your mouth! The peppers and onions are caramelized beautifully. We also ordered a wrap that had eggs, black beans, cheese and is grilled in a press served with breakfast potatoes, and a side of delicious chili. The parking lot is tight, but there was no problem finding a space, even though they were busy. Staff is super friendly - we can't wait to return. June 2019, came here at night for Breakfast after Rock Climbing and ordered soft boiled eggs and an English Muffin with Beacon. Love the Beacon, it was crispy and a thick cut. My friends ordered the eggs with potatoes which they all enjoyed. Also, the coffee is fresh and staff are friendly. However, I heard the Ladies Room was a tight squeeze, very small stalls. My best friend and I decided to come to this diner as we were starving one evening and were in the mood for breakfast food. We decided to venture out of the Bronx to this diner in Larchmont. This was my first time visiting this diner and will also be my last. Once we arrived, we were seated immediately and after about 10 minutes, we were able to order our food. We received our appetizers first before our drinks which was weird for a restaurant. Our drinks came about 5 minutes after the appetizers. The appetizers weren't bad. Once it was time for our meal, that's when everything went wrong. I ordered the Ultimate Stuffed French Toast, and instead the waiter brings out Banana Nutella French Toast. I told the waiter that is not what I ordered. So my friend decided to tell the waiter to box it for her so she can bring it to her mom. I had to reorder my food again. So 10 minutes went by and the waiter brings me back plain french toast. The Ultimate Stuffed French Toast I ordered was supposed to be french toast with cream cheese filling, topped with apples, strawberries and blueberries. I received REGULAR PLAIN FRENCH TOAST. I did not understand why the server got it wrong a second time. My friend went ahead and explained it to the server in spanish and the server was still confused. So the server walked away and soon a manager came and asked us what happened. We explained everything to the manager and the manager didn't offer any type of resolution. My friend had to ask the manager to take it off our bill. The manager seemed confused when she told him to take it off our bill. So once the bill arrived, the manager said that he removed our drinks off the bill which equaled to how much the french toast was. In reality they should have took both the Nutella and regular french toast off as my friend ended up getting the Nutella French toast boxed, even though that's not what she originally planned to get her mother. My husband and I were at a car dealership when the workers all recommended us to eat here. Two workers suggested that we get the lemonade which we did and it was fantastic. Despite it being 8:30 AM the lemonade was easy to drink. It wasn't too sweet like it was made by 100% sugar. It had a good balance of lemon, sweet, and sour. I can't say enough about this place. Best word to describe them is consistent. Food, service, and quantity. You can tell that their owners/employees take pride in their business. I order from there a lot! Whether it's 8 am or 11 pm...the food is delivered hot, fresh, and delicious. They are also one of the few places that actually respect no contact delivery. Terrible! The service was the worst! My wife and two friends stopped by for a late meal after 11:00. The place had maybe 1-2 other tables full. After getting drinks (which took about ten minutes) we were totally ignored. We tried to get the waiters attention. He would look at us and keep going. The kitchen was stockpiling take out orders on the counter but not one order to any dine in customers. I can't comment on food quality because we received none. I went there for the first time today. It was amazing ! I had corned beef hash with poached eggs. Really good pulled home made corned beef hash with perfectly cooked eggs. Service was amazing. I've been going to this diner since it was the Larchmont Diner, going back 50 years. My husband and I have been going every Saturday or Sunday for breakfast, and the food is consistently good. However, I'm sad to say I was shocked and saddened by an experience I had today, and I would caution others who care about what their children are exposed to when they dine out. Today, while waiting for our food at a table, 4 very loud, obviously drunk 20-somethings came in and sat down near us. This was at 12:30pm. They were yelling and cursing and laughing so loudly, and two of the tables near us, that had very young toddlers sitting with them were visibly concerned. Both my 85 year-old mother and I asked them to be quieter, but they ignored us. When I got up to tell the manager to ask them to lower their voices, he said he'd take care of it. 15 minutes later, a young woman from the restaurant staff came over to the table and apologized to them for bothering them, and she sheepishly asked them to try and be less rowdy because some people in the restaurant asked her to tell them to. When she left the table, they laughed, and went right on carrying on. When their food arrived, they ordered 4 giant screwdrivers (vodka and orange juice), and proceeded to get even louder. When we left, the cashier asked us, "How was everything?" I said, "Do you want to know the truth?" She said nothing and looked down at her register. The manager told my mother he "felt bad" about the noisy group, but he never once went over to them himself, and, he SOLD ALCOHOL to an already clearly drunk group of people. VERY irresponsible. Clearly, this manager cares only about how much money he makes and cares nothing about the comfort of customers or the vulnerability of young children. It's too bad, because the food is very good, and the waiters are all very nice. My advice would be "stick to takeout" unless you enjoy eating brunch with loud drunken idiots at a family diner. read more

Had to work Thanksgiving, so no going to see my family. What's open? Diners are. I made a little pre- work trek over here to see if I could get some turkey. The place had a good deal of turkey and stuffing with gravy, 2 sides, soup or salad and a dessert for $19. I got the mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes. Both were very delicious with the moist turkey and stuffing. The portion was huge and I had a lot to bring home. Before the turkey, I got a cup of split pea soup. It was tasty. The soup was good and hot, and came with croutons and crackers. For dessert, I got the apple crumb pie. The pie was also very good, it came warm, with whipped cream. Food portions are a good size, including the paninis which have a tendency to be small at many restaurants. I was in the New Rochelle area for a wedding. We ended up at BLD (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) diner for a late Sunday night dinner. I got the Eggs and Potatoes. What better way than to actually have Breakfast for Dinner? I also picked off other folk's plates. My faves? Potatoes, Regular Fries, and Waffle Fries. They were crispy and not greasy. this is a great 24 hour diner, although I am not a fan of their breakfast potatos and wish they would bring back traditional homefries. they have wonderful orange juice that they squeeze in a machine that is visible, and a wonderful array of salads. its been years since i took a booth at bld diner in larchmont as this diner was my once a week hangout with cuz when i first moved to white plains and nothing but good memories . the prices have gone up considerably which is expected years later but the extensive diverse menu is still intact with a bunch of tasty add ons. plenty of booths and tables along with counter seating all in typical greek american decor flair . its dinner time and even with its 24 hour breakfast available for us i prefer a bowl of chicken noodle soup with a tuna melt with fries which again brings back great memories minus the few gray hairs . food is still good as well as the service and everyone is in chill mode which means no loud talking or little brats crying non stop. glad this diner is still around serving locals and non locals 24/7. hope its not another 15 years or more for my next visit with cuzs and the boys . 4.5 stars for the yelp memories and now its boston cream pie time. read more

Overall I have to say it was a weird kind of experience. I felt like the counter seats were lower than usual and maybe a bit further away than I expected but all in all, I managed to eat my meal without incident. As far as service goes, the waiter never inquired about how the food was or do I need anything else. It was a one plate meal so in the end, it didn't matter but I can't give them bonus points for service. I ordered, somewhat reluctantly, the Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. I say reluctantly because their version comes in a skillet and is made from some kind of pulled pork. Delish for sure but the price at $13.50 is WAY beyond what CBH & E should cost. The potatoes were a cubed, tot kind of thing...a little strange and not the usual home fried potatoes. Will I go back? Maybe but not for a $14 breakfast. Came here on a Sunday around 10:00 am. My friends and I wanted to do as the locals do as we were coming from out of town. I think there is a certain nostalgia that comes from going to a diner. Reminded us of our teenage days. I ordered the eggs benedict, it was a bit overcooked, but I think in line with my expectations. Portions were very big, so I was stuffed to the max. He ordered the Texas Breakfast Panini which also comes with little breakfast potatoes and loved every bite of it.
