They took 2 weeks and proceeded to charge me $187 to "diagnose it". Then they told me that they couldn't tell the problem and I would have to pay and EXTRA $600+ for them to pull out the intake to diagnose it. And that the total after everything would be $1,500- $2,200 depending on the problem. I took my car home used a YouTube video, borrowed tools and $57 of BRAND NAME PARTS from Mazda themselves. Took me less than 3 hours to do it myself and I have not so much as changed a tire in my lifetime. Complete scammers if a little girl could do it for $57, 3 hours and a YouTube video. And they wanted 2k insane work. Thank you for such a high quote because now I can call myself a mechanic and work on my own car!

I gave him an extra ten bucks to show my appreciation. I believe that Jerl's Muffler and Brake has honest and fair people working for them. Based on that experience and speaking with them over the phone, I recommend them to everyone who needs their vehicle serviced according to their abilities (mainly Muffler & Brakes). I am going to see if they can work on my current vehicle and do a job on it. It has a broken off lug bolt that I need taken out. They can attempt to do the job but because their price is uncertain and a bit more than I would like to pay, I will go with a different shop. Initially, they referred me to America's Tire but they don't do that kind of work. America's Tire referred me to Brake Masters. I called them and they sound more than fair. They in turn referred me back to America's Tire for mounting and balancing... Just goes to show you how a good reputation means a lot and is hard to come by, especially in the automotive industry.
