Was recommend by a friend in the city to come here for pizza & I am so happy that I did! This pizza was amazing! So far, the best pizza I've had in the city. The dough throughout the whole slice was so crispy & fresh. Everything in the pizza had great flavor & balanced eachother out. I knew it was going to be good when I saw a lot of locals in the restaurant. I will be going back!!
On everybody's (including celebrities) NY pizza list. Solid slice, outdoor sit down tables (who wants to eat pizza standing?), ZERO nonsense service. What caught us off guard (in a great way) were the salads. The gentleman asked us what we wanted on the salad, handed it to someone behind him, and gave it back to us full and loaded with croutons. Just awesome. The window had all fresh slices and you felt that anything you picked would be great...and it was. Yes, BSP has the crispy "fold" down and we always enjoy stopping by for a quick slice (or 3) on our way to our next stop.
This is a long-running pizza institution in the Village for a reason. Compared to some other spots, you don't go here for a plain slice. It's plainly above average, with a particularly good crust that is crispy without being too burnt, with a pretty good tomato sauce and standard cheese. It folds properly, it isn't too salty, and overall it's a good slice at a reasonable price. You instead go here for the Nonna Maria, which is $4.16 pre-tax. It's the same thin crust, but with fresh buffalo mozzarella, homemade marinara sauce, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and fresh basil. Compared to the plain slice, it feels a bit lighter, being closer to a grandma slice, but not exactly, as along with the herbs, there's a lot more fresh tomato. Short review for an excellent slice. The Nonna gets a mid-4 while the plain and others get a mid-3.
This review is for takeout only. My coworkers raved about this place. I wanted to love it, but was only so so. Maybe we ordered wrong or it cooled off by the time it got to the office to eat our pies. Next time I'll try in person, because everyone says it's so good.
I have such a mixed view on Bleeker St Pizza. The line was loooong and moved so slow for counter service which was unusual but staff was lovely. The first bite of the pizza tasted SOO burnt like charred burnt. But the pizza itself did not look burnt or overcooked at all? It was the strangest thing but every slice we tried the center of the pie area was so off putting. As you moved your way up the slice that burnt flavor got better. The ingredients were high quality- cheese, sauce, veg all tasted great. I think maybe the crust is just not my style! Really appreciate there's a ton of indoor and outdoor tables.
One of the best slices in Manhattan. Inside is classic NYC slices vibe. Line moves fast so staff are on point. Currently line out the door , well deserved
I needed a quick bite and grabbed a slice of white pizza. It hit the spot! And there were tables inside and outside. I wanted the buffalo chicken but they ran out.
Loved their signature chicken parm pizza!!!!! A nice thin slice of pizza (each slice is pretty large), with crunchy pieces of chicken and juicy chunks of tomato on top. What made this experience 10/10 wasn't even the pizza, but meeting Gary (the old owner). He saw us looking at some of the photos on the wall and walked up to us to say hello. We stood and ate our pizza and talked to him for half an hour, it really made our time at this location special (and we felt lucky meeting him, because he only works on Fridays)!

The most recent pie I had was not the thin delicious crust that I remember, but a thick bready version that felt more like Sbarro's in a mall. What the f### happened? The sauce was still quite good and the cheese was fine, but I can't get over the dough. Only positive note to the visit was that the garlic knots were not bad. I'll hit up this establishment again when I have the chance to allow them to redeem themselves. However, if the quality stays the same, this will no longer be the pizza institution I cherished.

There are tons of places in NYC boasting long lines, but we came in on a Sunday afternoon and waited about 5 minutes total after ordering at the register to getting our pizza. Seating is rough, but we were able to snag a spot. Now I'm not from the area and am no pizza expert, but the crust was crisp, the toppings were flavorful, and portion was generous. Will definitely drop by next time I visit NYC!
Pizza by the slice, no frills, be ready to order and pick up your order when ready cuz these guys are not messing around. The slice of cheese pizza was perfect. Crust was amazing, sauce and cheese perfect. No complaints and the line moved fast!
The first stop on our NYC pizza tour and it did not disappoint. The slices were massive, piping hot, and super cheesy. We got a Nonna Maria Pizza and Pepperoni Pie, and to my surprise the Pepperoni was my favorite of the two. The Pepperoni had a mild spice to it and the cheese was gooey but still cooked with some nice golden spots. This was one of the shorter waits we had at any of the spots we stopped in. There were only a handful of people in line ahead of us on a warm weekend day. All the seating inside and on the patio was taken, but we were able to eat at the high top table/bar along the line.

Came on a Tuesday night to try out their pizza since I'd heard so much about it. There was only one party ahead of me in the line so didn't have to wait too long. I had their Nonna Maria as per their suggestion and it was great. I really liked how toasted the crust was, though I'm curious on how it would have been if it had been slightly less crunchy. Nevertheless, I devoured the slice in 3 minutes at one of their tables outside while people watching. Great nighttime snack, will definitely be back! read more

good pizza! I got the pepperoni pizza for $5 there was a long line tho (it was after pride) the white pie was good as well! the chicken bacon ranch looked delicious, will need to come back and try!! service was very fast though! read more
Sadly I only tried one slice here - the Margherita, but it was hands down one of if not the best pizzas I have ever had. Everything on it was perfect. The place was packed but the line moved quick and at least there were tables and standing table area. I would go out of my way to go eat here again, highly recommend. read more

They're so busy all the time so pizzas are made fresh in front of you and even put in the fire for some reheating. The crust is thin with a nice crisp and an easy fold, the sauce has a slightly sweet and garlicky flavor, and the cheese is well balanced without being overly greasy. We were originally going to another pizza spot nearby but the couple in front of us in line said they were going to go here instead because they had it before and would rather get pizza where they knew it was good than wait for pizza that they weren't sure about. We decided to split our group and get pizza from both places. Bleecker st is slightly cheaper and taste was comparable. The best part was that there was barely a line. Also there was seating inside and outside which was great to get out of the cold. I hadn't asked for the chipotle chicken slice, I asked for the white slice but maybe the guy was trying to guide me to a hidden gem because we all really enjoyed that slice and it was a nice surprise read more

How can you go wrong with NYC pizza? Basically impossible. The margherita slice is excellent, with a chunky red sauce--I forgot to take pics because it was that good. The pepperoni slice was solid too, nice crispy bites. The dough is super light, which I loved. The grandma slice, though... very soggy and not great. When we went around 7:30 there was a long line, but 30 minutes later it disappeared. Worth the wait. just be strategic with your slice choices. read more

My family and I visited here on a weekend trip to NY. This place is busy but man are the employees welcoming, fast and efficient. The pizza is really good. We ordered multiple types of slices (cheese, pepperoni, spicy pep, and more), garlic knots and chicken tenders. Everything was really good. I would definitely visit this place again when in the area. read more

Do NOT get a slice from here, I went after comedy cellar to get a slice of pepperoni and mushrooms and three hours later I was on the floor with the worst food poisoning I've ever had. I commented that the pizza didn't seem like they re-warmed it up but was assured it was fine. It was not fine, I have been throwing up non-stop from this pizza place and I am super disappointed since it comes so highly rated. I am fighting for my life on the bathroom floor still, it's not worth it read more

They make a decent Sicilian slice for a place mostly used by tourist since it's near the stonewall inn. The cheese and sauce was pretty good. Theres limited seating and they have a one small bathroom so I would say take it to go if possible. It's a good place if you don't want to look for better places read more
Iconic spot does not get any better than Bleecker Street. Classic cheese is cheesy, hot, great chew on the crust. Every bite was delicious and so satisfying. I would go back for the pepperoni and the sausage. The pile on the meat! read more
The number three stop on our self created pizza tour. This place was unfortunately a miss for us and ranked last out of our spots we visited. The good thing for this one was that it was not busy and had plenty of seating inside so we could take a break. The pizza itself was OK but not anything that I would make a special trip for. It seemed pretty standard. They're known for their Nona slice, but it didn't really hit the spot with us. We also grabbed a meatball and a white slice. Neither of which were particularly great. The pizza slices were all a bit floppy, and they were definitely the greasiest of the bunch that we had tried. If you're in the area and wanting to try out a few, may opt for a single slice at this spot, but if you're already visiting a number of other ones, this one is definitely OK to skip. read more

Finally tried out Bleeker street pizza as I passed it hundreds of times. Upon entering I was welcomed by a plethora of different pizzas. So many but there can be only one to make a lasting impression. I went for upside down variant. Happy to say it was an outstanding choice. The crust was soft and flakey around the edges. The sauce was thick and garlicky. I enjoy and savored every bite. Customer service is on point as well. The space was clean and offered cool vibe. Needless to say I will be returning indefinitely. If it's a late night, Bleecker Street Pizza would hit every time, especially if I was drunk. However, if we're comparing this spot to just the other spots on this street, Bleecker Street is just fine. The crust is VERY thin, almost cracker-like, but the slices heat up pretty well. I'd say this is the best version of not-great pizza if you know what I mean. Not ever going to be in the same conversation with L'Industrie, but it's 4 bucks cheaper and WAY BETTER THAN JOE'S I SAID IT. No line at 2PM on a Thursday and the store is pretty big with plenty of seating. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the Margherita slice, but everything else was pretty much exactly what you'd expect. BBQ Chicken had the exact flavor profile you want - a little tangy and plenty of sauce. Hawaiian and Cheese were the most meh of the pack. read more

Came to visit here on vacay and Greg the owner is just an absolute treasure of this place. No wonder his pizza tastes amazing and very delicious to us Californians! The love he puts into his pizzas and his customers is something we will never forget during our time here in NYC. Second time around during March trip and something was not quite as great as before. Maybe the pizza didn't get baked as well as last time, not sure. Still good pizza, maybe my image of the NY slice had just shifted after trying the Brothers pizza few days prior? read more
Pretty good but not great. Something is missing. Can't describe it. I'd eat this pizza any day, but it's not 5 star pizza. $3.95 for a slice of cheese. Don't order a "plain" slice. It doesn't say plain in the menu board. It says cheese. read more

My go-to place for a NY slice. Quick lines, friendly staff, and places to sit. Known for its robust flavors and crunchy crust, the ratio of crust to sauce and cheese is perfection. Although a classic cheese is my usual order, Bleecker offers plenty of toppings that are hard to resist. Whether it's a white slice or a margherita, the flavors hit every time. read more

When I went, it was very busy lunchtime and I had a group of ten and we could not sit together. So I guess it depends on when you go.
