Finally I am writing a review for Bliss. Yelp has been relentless with asking me. Lol Joe and I have been going to Bliss with our dear friends Pete and Sally for approximately 5 years. Mostly for happy hour at the bar area. The happy hour discount is worth the small trip and the food is tasty. The HH menu is satisfying and pleasing. Tasty salad selections, sliders, flatbread pizza, soup, penne, Mac and cheese , fish tacos etc. Discount cocktails too. I believe the hours are between 4 -7pm. Live music on Friday nights. We had dinner once in the main room. If my memory is correct our party of 6 enjoyed the delicious meals , cocktails and service. Prepare to pay a little above average prices in cramped quarters. Bliss does offer small plates. During the warmer months you can opt to sit outside on the upper deck with patio umbrellas. I'll end by saying staff is very Friendly, hard working, accommodating and always smiling. Many of the customers are locals and get along very well. The bar area has a nice vibe. Came here to take my parents out for their anniversary. They wanted seafood and I've always been wanting to try this place out. Just to be safe, I made a reservation because the restaurant isn't huge and it was around Valentine's Day. Even with a reservation, we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. There is no space to wait inside so we were kind of squished by the entrance. We didn't want to get in anyone's way or in people's personal space. When we were seated, it was very close to other people. Even though my jacket was hung behind my chair, people grazed up real close to get by. My back was to the aisle so a lot of people by the bar and servers were constantly grazing. But not their fault. The food was very good. Expensive for very small portions, though. Drinks were made just right, and the service was great. We had an attentive and knowledgeable server and wait time for food was reasonable. Here's what we ordered: - Drunk mussels: bacon, gorgonzola, beer & wine - Thai Calamari: Sweet Thai Chili Sauce - White cosmo: vodka, St. Germain elderflower, white cranberry juice, fresh lime - Jumbo Lump Crab Cake: Roasted red pepper remoulade - marinated skirt steak: mashed potatoes & baby spinach - Chilean Sea Bass: black rice, julienne vegetables, tequila lime sauce - Grilled Atlantic Salmon: Julienne vegetables, sweet teriyaki glaze - Pignoli Nut Crusted Red Snapper: roasted garlic cous cous, pineapple salsa The food was very good. There aren't enough stars to describe the awesome experience my husband and I had here last week for date night. I kept hearing great things so we decided to try it out and it definitely lives up to the hype. The owner Ron is the sweetest person ever. He was so excited to meet his new customers and was so hands on with his staff the entire night. You really never see that anymore. Even when we paid our bill he offered us after dinner drinks on him! It is clear that he cares about each and every customer that comes in as well as his entire staff. They had live music playing. As we all know live music can either add to the experience or ruin it. In this case it was fantastic and only enhanced our awesome meal. The musician sang and played the guitar and knew what he was doing. We sat right next to him and weren't bothered by the volume at all either. We had made prior reservations and even though the place was completely packed they had our table waiting for us and we didn't have to wait at all. The bread is to die for. Clearly home made and served with the most delicious hummus! We ordered the thai calamari to share which was perfectly crisp, the right amount of sauce and so good! The burger was cooked exactly the way we asked and the short rib was perfection! We will for sure be regulars. They earned our business!! At a time where everything seems to be crazy expensive, we felt like we were getting away with something when we got our bill because it was so affordable. Very refreshing experience! Our first visit to Bliss restaurant! We had the drunken mussels as an appetizer which we forgot to take a picture of but the sauce they were made in which had wine bacon and blue cheese was to die for! The portion was very small for the price but the tastiness of the sauce kept me from complaining also quite a few empty shells, which I was not happy about! My granddaughter had penne alla vodka, which she loved as I tasted it also it was good! My daughter had the short ribs, which had one very tender piece and two tougher pieces, but tasty! I had the skirt steak served with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes, which was very good! They serve fresh baked bread when you get there with a very delicious serving of hummus! I came here on a double date, with my girlfriends sister and husband and was very pleased & surprised with this restaurant. Hospitality was A1 and the service was amazing. Started off with the calamari and the meatball sliders and everything was very good. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the meatball sliders were good. Sauce on the meatballs had a nice sweet and savory sauce and the service was excellent. I wish I remember my hostess name, but she was great. I had the bliss burger which was a home run and my girlfriend got Bolognese with meat sauce that was great. My GF sister got the some type of fish dinner which she loved and her husband had the bolognese. The decor in this place is very nice and inviting and the entire staff is very welcoming and sweet. Update - Family member who loves Bliss insisted on using them to cater an event hosted at my house. I was preparing the dinner myself later in the afternoon but they were handling the hors d'oeuvres earlier in the day. They brought the food (Several trays of appetizers) and 2 servers. The servers made their rounds with various appetizers I wasn't very interested in. I tried one of the appetizers, the "Sliced Filet Mignon on Toasted Crostinis with a Remoulade". It was dry and bland. Had no desire to try anything else they offered. So the party goes on, I have my steaks I purchased marinating in the fridge for later in the afternoon/evening. I planned on starting to grill at like 6:30PM. At around 5:00, the Bliss wait staff stops me as I'm walking through my house and asks - "Are you *My Name* who is going to cook the steak?" I say "Yep". They ask - "When are you planning on starting cooking?" In a semi frantic, rushed tone. I say, "An hour or so?" Confused by why they care or what they have to do with it or why they would be asking me. About 45 minutes later.. why they are still there, I don't know, because the appetizers are done and they're not doing any cleaning up or any kind of serving at this point.. they asked me once again- "Hey are you gonna start cooking the steaks soon?" At this point I'm really confused as to why the hired appetizer caterers are nagging me as to when I'm going to start cooking dinner, which has nothing to do with them. I tell them "Probably about a half hour" and they look at me all confused. I have a cutting board, serving tray, grill flipping tool and other grill related stuff neatly organized in the kitchen ready to go out to the grill. I politely told the caterers that all that stuff is eventually going out to the grill, so since they seem so interested in when dinner was being cooked, if they wanted to help, they could bring that stuff down to the grill. They didn't need to, I would've taken it down eventually, but since they kept asking me about the steak I figured it was a relevant thing to bring up. Both of the Bliss servers look at me like I had two heads.. their faces contorting to an even more confused look than earlier.. one of them shifts to a half smile on her face and says " You need all this stuff for grilling?" I was flabbergasted by this response and had nothing else to say to it. They never ended up bringing the stuff out for me. I still wasn't sure why they were still there at this point- they were no longer serving their dry, bland appetizers.. and they had nothing to do with the dinner. Very odd. They did, however, decide to make the garlic bread I was going to make. I got all the ingredients myself and had the garlic cloves peeled and ready to go in a separate container and 3 sticks of butter unwrapped and in a Pyrex in the fridge to be melted for the garlic bread. They took it upon themselves to not use any of the butter in the Pyrex and use butter from some other source while only only using 1/4 of all the garlic I peeled for the 4 loaves of bread. So they ruined my garlic bread. Anyway, I catch a glimpse of the bill a few weeks later. I expected to be around $1200-$2000, and even then it would've been a rip off for the "service" and the several trays of aggressively mediocre appetizers they brought. The actual bill was $4,100+ with a cash discount bringing the total, if paid with cash, to $3,100+ . Again, the quality of service and food provided was not worth even $1,500. I guess I wouldn't have minded that bill so much had the food not been so damn dry and mediocre and the servers nagging me to start grilling at my own house. So in short, the food was just not good and the servers bugged and annoyed me in my own kitchen. read more

My wife and I met friends for an after work dinner. We arrived at our reservation time and were promptly seated. We had a corner table on the outside deck. Shortly after our entire party arrived, our waitress came to the table to take drink orders. Since one of our colleagues had been to The restaurant before she made ordering easy. The appetizers arrived promptly and we all shared. I throughly enjoyed the meatball sliders and the lightly seasoned, Asian wings. The meatballs were made with a mixture of veal, beef and pork bathed in a light marinara sauce. They were delicious. The Asian wings had a slight zing, just enough for me. This appetizer was equally as delicious. Just an aside, the bread brought to the table is made in house and very tasty. The entrees arrived nice and hot. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese. A bit disappointing. Not because the entree was not tasty, it is more because, I am not accustomed to the way the bolognese sauce was made. As I said, it was tasty but it may take getting used to. For desert, I ordered an apple crisp and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was good, regrettably, the apple crisp was not. To drink, I recommended a delightful red wine for the table: Elsa Bianchi Malbec from San Rafael Mendoza, Argentina. It was very good. The Takeaways: 1. Ample parking 2. First off, the food is up to par. But the staff is over the top. Went for an occasion lunch event and was greeted by a lovely Bar Tender. As our service came out. The surprises kept going. The salad was delicious & whatever the spread for the bread was ?. It was incredible . The entires came out & everyone said it was delicious. I'll start off by saying food is AMAZING and reasonably price, the bread is soft and our family loved the pesto hummus used. For tonight's dinner I ordered the S'mores Martini which is excellent and very tasty with solid presentation, I also enjoyed very much the Chicken and Chorizo Paella which was better than I expected and very filling, for desert I had the crème brûlée which was a nice portion for after having big meal and covered with powdered sugar and blueberries. I appetizers we ordered also didn't disappoint I also want to give a shoutout to the servers here since they are very attentive and my family appreciates the white table cloths, quick replacement of utensils after appetizers and the quick refilling of water. It's basically fine dining at a reasonable price and with great food and service. Looking forward to going back and hope the quality we expect remains. PS. Also just one complaint and an observation for some reason when the musics playing sometimes the bass is incredibly overpowering and other times it quiets way down which is a bit odd and sometimes jarring to the ears, I hope this is an easy fix, also just be aware that when this place is busy it gets very loud considering your quite close in proximity to other guests but these minor quibbles I have are nothing when the overall experience is great but wanted to mention them regardless. read more

More of 3.5 for outdoor dining. The issue is that the outdoor dining is directly on the highway with views of cars zipping by. You can sit on the patio as well, but there isn't much space there either. The indoors looked really beautiful so I would try to go there next time. They have set up palm trees and couches to accomodate so technically not the restaurant's fault but I wanted to be transparent. The food was delicious though didn't present well on a plate. Also it gave me a bit of acid reflux after ordering a heavy meal. I had chicken parm with spaghetti and Napoleon dessert. The wine and service were great. read more

Buyer beware. This is not a good place for food. Drinks..maybe, if you aren't picky. My wife ordered what they called Braised Short Rib, it was in reality chuck roast (aka pot roast). I had ordered their attempt at a Paella (I should have known better). It was unseasoned, overcooked chicken breast mixed with Rice-A-Roni. One could literally taste the seasoning packet. It was mixed with Italian sausage they tried to call Chorizo. If you have even a halfway decent palette, try a different restaurant. read more

We used to be servers in the industry so we try not to go out to dinner on holidays but we had a reservation and this was our first time going so figured why not. We get there and we are not aware of the prefixed menu for the night which was a 3 course meal (app, entree, dessert) for each person at $90 each ... no other menu options available only what was listed which was very limited. $15 for an aperol spritz which was terrible. The salads we got as the appetizers were mediocre. The entrees were NOT worth $90 and neither was the dessert. We spent $250 on dinner last night to be packed in like sardines in this tiny restaurant. You are ON TOP OF EACHOTHER and everyone can hear your conversation. It's wild how close they packed the tables in so they can just try to make the most money they can last night since they jacked up their pricing so much for Valentine's Day. Wild how owners of restaurants take advantage and do this. We will never come back here. I'm so disappointed and upset we even went in the first place. My husband and I first came to eat here upon the recommendation of our real estate agent when we moved into the neighborhood. It's now one of our favorite "date night" spots. The food is incredible - always prepared well and the portions are a decent size. I recommend friends go there for the drunk mussels alone, they are delectable. Found this quaint restaurant through Yelp and although the food was decent it was disappointing at the end when they rejected the check-in offer.. The Bartender did courteously explained that she never had seen this and that they do not participate. She said Yelp can put whatever offers they want on their site without the approval of the owner. I didn't bother to pursue it because I was in a relaxed mood, wasn't worth the aggravation. Anyway the oyster Rockefeller was okay. Been here 3x and it will be the last! This place could be so amazing! Everyone that works here are very friendly with good service but the food is very uninspiring. My wife had the crab cakes that she liked the last time we were there that now are just breading and half the size. I had the chicken francese over mashed potatoes and it was served in a nursing home dish with uneven cuts of chicken with very little sauce and no garnish nothing! It was white on white on white no color or pop and it tasted like a nursing home dish! (my mom was in a nursing home so I know) they do have good drinks and that's about it! Had an amazing early dinner today with family. Went early enough that we had choice seating which was nice because we had a large group. Every single person had nothing but amazing things to say about every single dish that was served. Highly recommend the muscles for an app. Also was able to try the Buratta which was light and lovely even tho I'm not a beet fan. French onion soup is a must - almost everyone in the group got it and the whole table went silent because it was that good. My 7 year old housed some wings that were pretty good. Entrees came out at a very good time- I went with the crab ravioli special. Only thing I would like to say in a negative light is they definitely could have added more asparagus. Hubby and a few others went for the Bolognese excellent choice- hearty- pasta cooked perfectly- nice thick sauce with plenty of meat. They also made a Classic chicken parm. For fish, the pignoli crusted red snapper- beautiful presentation. Probably the nicest out of all the dishes. Meat was marinated skirt steak and short ribs. Although I personally didn't try- the smell alone would make someone want to come back to try it. Lastly, I had one of the best desserts I've had in a long time- Affofato - I'm sure a million and one people have had this or heard of it, but I haven't (clearly I live under a rock) - but I basically cleaned the plate. We haven't been here for years and when we passed by the other day we decided to go. I have to say the food was really amazing. My goat cheese and peach flat bread with arugula was a meal in itself and soooo tasty! The bread wasn't hard at all like some places and it was like the size a small pizza. For an entree both my husband and I ordered the special which was halibut with bok choy and artichoke hearts. The fish was cooked perfectly and the whole meal was really tasty. We had an exceptional night at this restaurant last night. Dinners out are hard to come by as parents of small children and this was made even more special by having friends in for the evening. Service was wonderful, the food was great and the overall ambiance was warm and welcoming. No pictures of the food because we enjoyed too quickly but the Oyster app, filet mignon, salmon and pot roast & pasta sheet entrees were stand outs. S'mores martinis with bread pudding and apple crisp finished the evening off perfectly.
