Coffee should be strong not burnt was burnt both times and was not heard apparently after saying I have a dairy allergy. Vietnamese Coffee is so good. This is the spot to quench your thirst for super strong coffee. We are talking black as oil coffee with condensed milk. I picked the strongest level and I had to wait over a few hours to finish drinking it. There are places to sit down and do work. I noticed they have a few items on the menu. The thai tea is very sweet, but delicious. There are no customizations to sweetness or milk for this drink, but it is made great! In fact, it was one of spots I was excited to return to when I came back to visit a second time. Stopped in to get my coffee fix this morning. We had the uji matcha eispanner and the Vietnamese coffee. I definitely enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee and the matcha was good. Ordered a Lychee Peach tea w/ chia seeds & lychee jelly (half sweet) and it was better than I expected! I think it's quite a simple drink compared to what you can get customized at a boba shop, but for the price, I'm content. It's not overly sweet w/ the sweetness customization and was a quick fix. Location is at Tustin Marketplace, very accessible and convenient. Quick service as well as having a few tables to work/study at. Used to LOVE their matcha!! But now it depends on who's making it? Some days it's perfect, some days it's like what is this green milk? lol so there is no consistency. Also if you order their LG size it's just more ice not more matcha. If there's more it's very little. I only write reviews when something is truly out of this world and honestly, the Mango Yuzu Matcha is to die for. I came in yesterday for the first time with a friend and ordered the same drink she did, and I was beyond impressed. As a huge matcha lover, it's hard to find high-quality matcha that actually tastes good and isn't just overloaded with sugar or vanilla syrup. From the very first sip, I was blown away by the balance ,the mango and yuzu complemented the matcha perfectly without overpowering it. The flavor was bright, smooth, and absolutely delicious. I spotted a line from a distance and knew that must be the coffee shop lol. VTM Tiger ($7) - regular size, Vietnamese coffee with brown sugar syrup and brown sugar jelly. The coffee was strong and although there was brown sugar syrup it wasn't too sweet. The jelly was a nice chew and reminded me of the Japanese style coffee jelly drink. My only comment is the order line and main waiting section was in the same area so it was a bit of a maneuver to exit after ordering. read more

Wow. This place is genuinely amazing! I went here to study, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the cafe itself. I was excited to try this place since I've heard a lot about it however it was disappointing. I went there to study with some friends and ordered the VTM Einspänner coffee, it's made with Vietnamese coffee but let me tell you it does not taste like Vietnamese coffee at all coming from someone who had to opportunity to travel to Vietnam and drink it everyday I know what good Vietnamese coffee taste like and that wasn't it. I had to throw it, only took two sips. As for the service I'm not sure, I used the kiosk, it's a great place to study, has a lot of space and the WiFi works perfectly. read more

Third café of the day! The Vietnamese iced coffee was super good (again, a little sweet but I'm not the biggest sweet tooth!) and the flavor of the coffee really came through. The music is funky and indie, and the baristas are super fast and nice (again, a trend across OC I've noticed!). A little overpriced in my opinion (5.75 for a small) but I definitely got my money's worth in terms of ambiance and service. There's a really pretty view of the fountain in the plaza from inside. The seating is really comfortable-- I personally really liked the big leather bench. It has three tables in front of it and so you can really sprawl out without bothering anyone else. Tons of outlets and fast WiFi. Parking is no-hassle. Even though it's within a shopping district, it feels like an easy little oasis. I could easily stay here all day and get my work done. The lighting is also super nice as someone who is migraine prone. A real nice golden tone but not so dark that you get sleepy: just enough to feel luxurious and relaxing. I needed a pick-me-up on a drive up to LA, so we stopped by Blk Dot Coffee for a quick drink. - PARKING - Blk Dot Coffee is located inside Irvine Market Place, so there's plenty of parking. - SERVICE - The line moves fairly quickly as the service is quick. We ordered our drinks and went to the bathroom, and by the time we came back, our drinks were coming out. The store itself isn't that big inside - just enough walking space for the line to loop around once, and a small waiting area in the corner. There are tables outside but again, not too many as it seems more like a grab-and-go kind of place. - DRINKS - VTMatcha (reg - $6.55): I had their Original VTM before and enjoyed it, so I thought I should try a different item. The Matcha mixes well with the Coffee initially, but once the drink gets diluted from the ice, the flavor goes away as well. When it's just Coffee, the strength of the flavor sticks around, but not so much with the Matcha. Thai Tea (large - $6.25): My boyfriend wanted something other than coffee, so he opted for Thai Tea. He's lactose so we subbed in Coconut Milk, which we thought would go well with it. I don't know if they accidentally gave the amount of milk for a regular instead of a large, but the drink was just pure tea. Not sweet, not milky at all. - OVERALL - Maybe the Thai Tea was a slip-up, but then again this was only our second visit. I've always wanted to visit Blk dot Coffee for a while and I finally had the chance to go wanting to kill time and not have to deal with lunchtime traffic. I ordered the Iced Spanish Latte and one of their breakfast bowls. The iced Spanish latte reminds me of vanilla iced coffee and cinnamon if you enjoy sweeter but still bitter coffee, and the breakfast bowl was absolutely amazing!! A must-try! I went on a random Thursday afternoon and the place was still lively but very limited sitting space, I got lucky that many people in line were there for takeout orders. The workers were very kind and recommended me this breakfast bowl which actually made my morning. There are a couple of outlets throughout the store but not many. If you do plan on studying here, the ac blasts cold so I recommend wearing a sweater! read more

Love the ice cubes that come with the drink... I love my drinks cold and the size and shape of the ice cubes just made me so happy. It's literally all about the little things. I have been wanting to try this spot for some time now. I'm glad I was able to finally check it out. I was in dire need of caffeine and this drink definitely delivered. I've always heard great things about Blk Dot from friends and I'm glad I recently check it out. The interior was warm and inviting and the staff greeted me when I walked in while busily making drinks for other customers. I looked over the menu and say they had an Uji Matcha latte and I knew that was what I wanted even though they are known for their coffee since I am a huge fan of matcha. I waited around 5-10 minutes before my drink came out so not too long and it was great! There was a good amount of matcha flavor and it was not too milky like I've had it with other coffee shops. They use Uji Matcha which is one of the top powders available in the world. I would for sure get it again in the future! Highly recommend checking out the rest of their drinks though especially the Vietnamese coffee which is quite strong and there is plenty of street parking as well nearby and it's a great shop to study at during the afternoon! read more

I got the Iced Dulce VTM Latte large and honestly it's okay. I expected a lot coming into this place as my colleagues have told me that this place has the best coffee. Their drinks have the right amount of sweet and bitterness but personally prefer my lattes more sweet. I think I will try to go for one of their tea's as those look more appealing than the iced dulce latte. Also the drinks are pretty expensive, but it's irvine so it's expected. Parking is huge as this place is located within an outlet. Overall, I would recommend people to try it out at least once to see how it is and if you like it. Yesterday morning, I met a friend here and it was a great first experience overall. First of all, the location in the market place is nice since there is plenty of easy parking around. This place was easy to find and there is some seating inside and outside. I like the music they play in the outside seating area as it seems upbeat and pleasant on a nice sunny day. The service was good and efficient too. Since I don't like coffee, I was looking at their tea options and I'm happy they have quite a few options despite the business name having coffee in it! I purchased the iced oolong milk tea since it was a warmer day and I like sweeter drinks. I got a regular size since I wanted to try it this first time here. The size, sweetness, and ice levels were perfect in my opinion and I highly recommend! My friend ordered a chai latte and enjoyed her drink as well. I was excited to finally try Blk Dot Coffee. It's been on my list of places to try because I'm always looking for good Vietnamese coffee. I opted for the iced VTM coffee. Be warned, it is bold and strong with some sweetness from the condensed coffee but that's the way Vietnamese coffee should always be! The menu has lots of other iced coffee options as well as hot coffee and teas. Food is served here as well. I came on a day where the line was long from a race that was just finishing, but the workers were pleasant and gave a time estimate when I ordered of when my coffee would be ready. The parking lot can get crowded, but there's still plenty of spaces just a bit further. read more
