Came here for the first time and had brunch. We sat outside, it wasn't too busy. Staff were very helpful explaining the menu and the food came out quickly. We ordered the Lemon ricotta pancakes, a side of bacon and the fried chicken sando. I would get the sando again, it was delicious and fried perfectly (it's a thin piece of chicken, think Milanese). The chipotle mayo is a great addition.

Wildly delicious vegan lentil wrap and house salad with citrus dressing. Incredibly flavorful and big!

The food is so damn delicious here. The vegan wrap, the house salad, the fries, the hojicha tea, the smoothies...you cannot go wrong at this Mid Wilshire staple. There's a good reason they've been here for 20 years. Being employee owned now, Bloom is a very special place run by warm and inviting people who know how to cook their asses off!

There are certain dishes that you just crave from time to time and Bloom Cafe's burger salad is one of those for me. I will go out of my way anytime I'm in the area to get one. I know it sounds weird, but the combination of ingredients and flavors is unmatched. You can have a beef or turkey patty (my choice) which is topped with a wasabi mayo dressing atop a bed of butter lettuce. But it's the rest of the salad that makes it: pickled red onions, avocado, vegetable chips, and sprouts combine to make this a worthy, mouth-watering destination. I'm sure the rest of the menu is great too, but I'll probably never know since this is all I order here!

I've passed by this place hundreds of times, and it's truly a hidden gem. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing, and the restaurant wasn't busy, which I actually prefer. The vibe was relaxing, with good music and all the staff smiling. I ordered the Vegetarian Curry Bowl--OMG, it was so delicious! It was served hot, and the rice was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we had the gluten-free chocolate cake, which is worth five stars on its own. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was incredibly friendly and attentive. It was a great experience, and I will definitely be coming back soon. Check it out and enjoy! Peace/Love, Be A Proud American

This place is a neighborhood life saver. Tons of options in the menu, truly is such a big shame that I don't have more pictures since I've been here many times and most often try something different. Bbq chicken wrap 8/10 good healthy nice flavor I like to order the green aioli for extra flavor Mahi tacos super filling and flavorful I would say one of my go to Overall decently priced, good portions friendly staff, and there is plenty of seating, I've never had to wait to get a table. Ps. Pet friendly a plus for me

We enjoyed the naan & dips (tahini tofu, carrot 'hummus'), and they offered corn chips for my friend to enjoy because she is gluten-free. For my entree, I had the sticky glazed fried maitake mushroom, and OMG, was it worth every penny! The dish was so flavorful and nothing like I've ever had! It was my friend's birthday, so we also ordered dessert. I had the mango sorbet, it was soooo smooth and refreshing! Our servers, food runners, and bartenders were so kind and raved about the Chef. It is clear they are all a well-oiled machine and enjoy working together as a team. The restaurant was clean, and the entire vibe of the restaurant was charming. I loved all the live plants and decor! I can not wait to go back!

Made a dinner reservation to celebrate our anniversary, but the whole experience ended up being…read moreunderwhelming. Even though my partner and I had a reservation that we showed up on time for, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. That wait time is pretty outrageous considering we reserved a table for 30 minutes earlier. Once seated, we noticed that the staff were extremely slow and inattentive. It took a while for us to get some water and even longer to get our food. The pacing between dishes was ludicrous. The food here is the saving grace for the disappointing service. We started off with the naan & dips. The dips were tahini tofu and carrot hummus. I liked the tahini tofu dip much more than the carrot hummus. It was creamy, nutty, and savory. The naan was fresh and nicely charred. Next we had the goat liver mousse. This included crumpets, biscuit crackers, craisin relish, seasonal jam, and of course, goat liver mousse. The crackers were too dry for me, but I really enjoyed the warm crumpets. All of the spreads were equally good. The goat live mousse itself was smooth and light. For the main courses, we shared the grilled kalbi-style short ribs and pork belly noodles. The short ribs were covered in a sweet-savory sauce and had a deep caramelization, while the meat was tender and juicy. As for the pork belly noodles, the overall flavor was too salty, but the glass noodles had a nice texture. Throughout our entire meal, there was a fly that kept trying to fly onto our food. It was very annoying to deal with. I was surprised that it was even an issue, considering we had indoor seating. I would have understood if only we were seated outside. Ultimately, I did not leave with a great impression of this restaurant. On top of that, there isn't any designated parking lot, so you'll be lucky if you can even find street parking. If not, you'll need to use one of the paid lots nearby. Also, beware that this restaurant adds a surcharge to all checks regardless of party size.

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

I got an omelette and it was fresh and light, but very small for the price and no bread included. Now for the rest, the service was appalling. Food came out quickly but after that we were barely checked on. We had to ask several times for things that we ordered and had to flag down the waitress to order a second drink and they took forever. We could understand that it was busy but the waitress never apologized or said anything like they were understaffed or anything. Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Maybe she was new, but clearly training was lacking. I don't think I'll be returning but since I see many reviews relating to service issues, hopefully management is able to address the deficit
