Came in looking for a bite to eat while waiting for my dog at the vet across the street. Menu is simple and has a lot of healthy options. I went for the salmon sandwich and sub with garlic fries. I also got a slice of red Velvet cake. Salmon sandwich was delicious. Garlic fries could've been better with a bit of salt and some ketchup but it is very garlicky which I love. Red velvet cake was delicious also. Doesn't have that after taste from the cream cheese but it is very light and a bit dense. The ladies taking my order was very friendly and the vibe was chill. I love the concept - natural, healthy foods in a casual and unpretentious environment. It's hard to know just how much menu of the menu is organic, since they say that they use organic "whenever possible" but only specifically note that the eggs are organic. Regardless, I'm sure that all the ingredients are natural and healthy, even if not organic, so it's not something that I'm too concerned about. Also, the prices are not outrageous. The problem is that the food tastes healthy, in not in a good way. Because I like healthy food. I had the vegetarian curry on brown rice and could barely eat more than a few bites - the flavor just wasn't very good. My mistake though, to order an ethnic dish at a restaurant like this. The juice was very good though, and I'm sure there's other things on the menu that I'd like more. I won't be running to come back here, but I'd be willing to give it another try too. read more

But I gotta tell you, on Wednesday night the family dinner of Roast Turkey, Pancetta stuffing, and roasted vegetables, along with a delicious roasted beet salad was at the top of the pyramid for me and my wife. I don't know how this place isn't a slam dunk 5 star. I was so impressed that I'm still finishing my meal here and I couldn't wait to post this. I had the Olympic Omelette and it was very good and super healthy. Even better than the food was the impeccable service. I came in with some personal trash to toss in a trash can but they quickly came up to me asking if they can take it off my hands. As soon as I sat down, they put a cup of water in front of me before I said anything. They checked on me a couple times as I was eating my meal and their tone is so pleasant and lovely. What amazing food and even better service! We were a party of 4 and Frank took our order. He was very patient with us. I loved the set up they had outdoors due to covid. Frank then came out with our drinks, water, utensils, and napkins. Soon after, our food arrived in one time use containers. I personally loved this idea, it was clean and simple. Came here one day for dinner after a workout as a healthy food option in the area. I got the Moroccan chicken bowl with couscous. It was very good. I thought it was interesting the couscous itself was very bland, but the curry and chicken itself had an unique flavor. I probably wouldn't get it again if I were to go back, because the whole ensemble tastes a bit off. It can be a little squishy with no privacy, because tables are very close to one another, so if you like eavesdropping or making conversations with diners next to you, this is the place to go. There may be a parking lot in the back, but when I drove by it, every spot was taken. I also wasn't sure if there was a designated spot for Bloom Cafe. Thankfully, I was able to find street parking a block from here on Pico Bl. But, I know I got very lucky with these. The street is usually packed with parked cars. read more

They only had one person on the floor AND bussing AND running food that I could see.. despite all the ladies behind the counter who didn't help him. They sautéed the kale and quinoa in coconut milk and garlic which gave the greens such a yummy unique taste. The flavor profile of it with that of the poached eggs was very good. We have loved this cafe from the very beginning of its existence. The amazing Gonzalo has been our waiter for many birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Gerard is so so special to us - he has always remembered our kid. When we want an amazing grass fed burger or just craving a burger- or tenderloin or incredible garlic fries with my personal favorite the garlicky basil aioli - bloom is where we go. Check out the turkey sandwich also. Made special with the aioli also. We just went this week and had my other favorite - the gorgeous green salad and the tenderloin special and it was so, so good. The kitchen staff must be top notch. They always cook steaks and burgers to perfection according to the true guidelines for medium rare!!!! Sweet lunch spot. The service is prompt and friendly-- I never had any issues. We had a handful of different people serving us. They all made sure our water was refilled before it even got halfway empty. The French fries are amazing! I told my friend that a rainbow riding unicorn just ran into my mouth after initially trying the crispy and delicious fries. I was extremely skeptical about the veggie burger but it was amazing - a rice and black bean patty with optional cheese. For me, a veggie burger must be moist, well salted, and firm. It must have a mild, pleasant flavor that will complement the bun. It should taste and look like it's not highly processed, but instead made from ingredients that grew in a vegetable garden. Bloom Cafe did not disappoint. It was crispy around the edges and softer towards the middle, which I love. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest veggie burgers I've ever had. Meat eaters might not believe that you can get a veggie burger wrong but believe me, you can. If a Veggie burger is made with the best ingredients and cooked correctly, like the it is here, it is simply in one word... Delicious! read more

I knew their deserts are made from natural, fresh ingredients so I was shocked when I tried this cake. It tasted awful!! Very greasy, fatty cream like common butter and the cake itself tasteless. Further more the waitress Darnya was unpleasant and unfriendly, she spoiled my evening mood and by the way it was my friend's birthday! :( She refused to replace this disgusting cake and included it in recipe and I just try one tiny peace of cake.
