Love the almond lemon pastry & lemon poppy seed poundcake!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice location a block from Alto Plaza Park where I exercise and dog watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today's a Monday morning. BBC is slammed - so crowded there's not a free seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Too many people on laptops - a pet peeve of mine since they take up real estate and don't allow a turnover of patrons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a Tcho Hot Cocoa with oat milk. It was perfect on this cold drizzly summer day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ooo, a corner seat opened up! I got to nab it or it'll a walk outdoors with my hot drink - which is always precarious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

As a Blue Bottle lover I've been spoiled having this location in the neighborhood! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is spacious and bright with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I often see people using the space to work or meet for casual coffee dates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even when busy the drinks come out fairly quickly and well crafted. Also love that it's a block from Alta Plaza where I can take my pups on a walk with my coffee!

Monday Mar 1, 2025 [[HIGHLIGHT]]A miracle occurred when the crowd parted to reveal an open table![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I totally misjudged the popularity of this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My first attempt was on a weekend, 3pm. They had completely run out of bread. So I figured 10a on a Monday, daylight saving time would be wide open. Wrong. Gotta say, this Blue Bottle runs like a machine. I counted at least 8 people behind the counter, cranking out caffeine & pastries. Because I'm all about Avocado Toast I did my research. Alas, every location lists the exact same menu, never mentioning my beloved AT. So I took a chance, having only been to their downtown location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Downtown wins the aesthetics award, super cool oblong saucers with the Blue Bottle logo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]At least this Fillmore Street cafe has nice tableware which offsets the sad takeout boxes, great for takeout, I get it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy to report only a small laptop encampment taking up space long after their one coffee cup has been emptied. It takes a while to get your order, but the counter folks are working hard & always pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Highlights are the mostly back support chairs, mobile pick-up station, & jar of dog treats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyway, about the Avocado Toast. Same delicious spread of ripe avocado, sprinkled with chili flakes, on a generous slice of artisanal bread. My standard complaint is calling something avocado toast when the bread isn't toasted? Ok, the crust is a bit singed. Why not call it an open faced sandwich? This must be a San Francisco thing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So, highest points for a rocking cafe. Destination worthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been to many BBCs around the country and this one is just as great as the others. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious seating as you would expect from this franchise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried the Iced Nola for first time and it was tasty! They offer lots of New Orleans Style Coffee options which are all interesting. Good coffee and bites here. Great option in the city

tl;dr - quick service, decent drinks, plenty of seating Stopped by for a drink and bathroom stop. I had a mocha and it had a nice balance of chocolate and coffee. It was a pretty busy day with most of their ample seating filled. Single mixed gender bathroom stall so there can be a wait.

This Blue Bottle was everything you'd expect from the franchise. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Pac Heights location was actually quite spacious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was impressed to see so many people working from here in the middle of the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great. I just grabbed a small iced Nola, which my friend (and chauffeur) restocked her cold brew. Always a reliable source of good coffee!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was fast & friendly and there was plenty of space to sit and work[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] - unfortunately, I had to take off two stars because 1. The latte, although tasty seemed like mostly milk and syrup (maybe should have gotten an extra shot or ordered something different?) and 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The WiFi was absolutely TERRIBLE and I couldn't get any work done when I was spending more time watching loading spinners and struggling to upload files.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Other than that, a decent place to stop for your coffee fix

I'm sorry, I just needed to tell someone how good these NOLA style coffees are. I think the employees already know and I didn't want to cause a scene in the coffee shop. But HOLY COW. I'm usually a black coffee guy but every now and then I go out on a limb. So yes I know there is sugar in this and I'm well aware of what sugar does to things. Let's be honest though this coffee is exquisite. You know it's good if I go off and start using big words I don't understand. I also got the banana bread and the white chocolate raspberry cookie. Do the veteran move and ask them to nuke it just a little. Both items were more well put together than the pyramids. Absolute technicians who made these. I don't think they were made in house and they still brought that big time flavor. Blue Bottle is still going strong. (4.8 Stars)

Trendy but tasty! My daughter wanted to try Blue Bottle Coffee as it is being made very popular on social media and we were in the SF area for a couple of days. We stopped by the Pacific Heights location and ordered Avocado Toast, a Hot Nola and a Four Over. We shared the avocado toast which was prepared perfectly and was very tasty. My Hot Nola was with orange blossom and I had it with oat milk. My daughter had the Four Over and thought it was going to be a flavored mocha-style drink but it is basically a pour over coffee. This was a bit confusing. Other than that, we enjoyed our purchases. We would have loved to bought some merchandise from Blue Bottle but the items we perused were way too expensive (a ceramic coffee mug for $27? Crazy!). I'm sure the quality is great but that price point is way too high for a mug. But we didn't come here for the merch, just the product and it didn't really disappoint.

One of my favorite roasts of espresso. Solid selection of baked goods- loved the walnut sticky bun. Just wish it was cheaper.

Sometimes we like to come here for some coffee & treats after our dog meets in the nearby park. This location is super convenient and as with almost all the BB we have been to, they have dog treats available. Ambiance and service open & friendly.

Standard Blue Bottle coffee shop: Same interior design, great coffee and reasonable sit down space. I got the sweet latte and leige waffle which never disappoints. You can taste the coffee with just the right sweetness, and the waffle was made fresh with a crispy outside but soft to the chew and also had a slight sweetness to it. If you're like me and love sweets but not too much, this is it. I went before noon on a Thursday and it was pretty packed with lots of foot traffic, but was able to find a corner spot facing the window because I like my views! They also had a good playlist going that you can vibe to but the overall loudness of the place not overbearing at all. The service was great, they were all prompt to take my order and they even used actual dishes for my food which I thought was nice, nothing to dispose of. Overall, chill vibes all around and will come back if I ever get the chance. Also, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because no Blue Bottle I've ever been to has any outlets to charge your laptop, including this one which sucks because my time is limited to the life of my battery and wish I could stay longer but nowhere to charge!

Coffee was great, but I saw the barista stick his finger in the milk he was steaming to see how hot it was. Gross.

It seems like there's also an upstairs but did not get the chance to check it out. I got an iced latte with their almond macadamia milk, and they're also so nice to do complimentary cold brew! So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

Didn't realize the rose latte would come as a hot drink but it was still good. Opted for less sweet but was a little more sweet than expected compared to the Yemeni latte. It's located at the filthy corner of 4th and Clara, which made the outside smell of urine. Fortunately the cafe itself is pretty clean, which is a nice escape from the street. I ordered an Americano and my friend got one of their $8+ lattes, which were fine, but nothing special. My biggest gripe was the service and absolute scorn of the customer. My friend and I sat at the counter basically in a staring contest with the woman behind the counter, who just stared right back. After some 30 seconds, we finally flagging her down to place our order. After turning around the drinks suspiciously quickly, my friend and I sat down to catch-up in the empty cafe. Before long, the barista pumps up the volume, increasing higher and higher every 5 minutes or so, as if to signal to us that our time was up. I asked her to turn down the volume, which she tuned down from an 11 to a 7, but minutes later it continued to creep up, like the snooze setting of an alarm clock coaxing you to wake up - except in this case, to get out. Ultimately, the volume got unbearable and we finally threw in the towel and got out of there to let the barista enjoy her music.
