I found myself in a bad spot caused by a previous moving company accidentally double booking my movers to another customer on my day of move, leaving me stranded with a 1 bedroom apartment to move and no one to help. Thankfully I was fortunate enough to call Blue Collar Delivery and explain my situation. Looking for a reliable mover? Worried that the crew you're gonna use is gonna suck and break all of your shit while in the move? Well friends then look no further I had a simple move which required no more than 10-12 pieces and Miguel and the crew that Blue Collar Delivery used was excellent. They Shrink Wrap, Blanket, and make sure your valuables are super safe and secure during the move. $85/hr is definitely on the cheaper side for movers and it's totally worth it. If you pay a cash price it's even cheaper. For 2 1/2 hrs it was only $200 bones. That is hard to beat. I hope I never have to move again in my life but if I do with 100% certainty I'm using these guys. *The only thing I didn't like was the response time to e-mails and text messages by the Owner Sebastian. Then again it was Christmas so I can relate but keep that in mind when you're corresponding with him. The fourth time was definitely not the charm. Although Blue Collar had scheduled the move with us *in writing* the week before, they didn't show up, and they didn't answer calls, texts, emails... We waited for three hours and then scrambled to make other arrangements. This is especially disappointing because we had hired Blue Collar three times before, and were really not expecting to be let down this badly. Not showing up for an appointment is bad enough, but not communicating is really terrible because you just don't know what to do -- and that ruined our day. So, don't be fooled by like I was fooled. I'd like to give these guys more than 3 stars but I just can't do it. Sebastian was very friendly to me, but can be hard to get a hold of. I booked an afternoon move (one bedroom to a storage unit) and was given an ETA. I was ready on time but the movers arrived three hours late. They said the elevator at their morning move was broken and caused a major delay. I'll give them a pass on that one. The guys really hustled to get the truck loaded. However, my storage unit closes at a set time and there is no after hours access, so I had to get everything unloaded and into the unit before closing time. When we got to the storage facility, the movers really felt the clock ticking. This is when they got careless, trying to cut corners, stacking too much stuff on one cart, and rushing. Long story short, my TV fell off the cart and hit the concrete with quite a thud. (This was not the only thing they dropped or dinged up, but definitely the most valuable) They managed to get everything into the storage unit before it closed, but in rushing, everything was stacked poorly and crammed in and not organized just for the sake of beating the clock. I reported this to Sebastian and he said they would replace the TV if it was broken. Luckily it wasn't, but based on this experience, I definitely can't recommend this company. Cheap? Yes. Offered a discount for the troubles they caused me? Yes. But at the end of the day, I'd rather pay a bit more for proper time management, strong communication, and making sure my valuables are taken care of without having to sweat when I open a box. read more

All I ask when a move is involved is good and clear communication. Blue Collar Deliver excels in this alone! I had arranged for my shipping unit to be delivered across the country in the afternoon on a Friday. I emailed them a few days before to confirm that we were still on for a Saturday unloading. Sebastian mentioned that they had a cancellation on Friday so if the unit came early they could potentially unload it Friday as well. Lo and behold, my shipping unit came way early in the morning on Friday. Every time I emailed Sebastian, I got an immediate response. I emailed them Friday morning explaining that if they could swing by in the afternoon to unload the unit that would be preferred. They were able to accommodate that request and came by right after their previous job. The two guys were very polite, friendly, and helpful. They were very careful with my items and worked efficiently. I highly recommend this company for any move! This is actually my second time using these movers. They moved me into my most recent apartment and today they moved me out. They may charge by the hour, but that doesn't mean they drag their feet. Both the first time and this time they moved everything in one hour flat. No joke. These guys hustle. They wrap anything fragile and all the furniture, and they come with all the equipment, dollies, ties etc. Also, no stair charge! The movers are super nice, the guy who runs the operation is super nice. Very professional and considerate. They called to confirm the day before. And this morning they even arrived early. I had three movers the first time but two this time because I had no furniture and was just moving all my stuff. It's actually the same price or cheaper than what it would take to rent a u-haul and take the time to move yourself. Oh, they also took furniture to donate for me last time! I told them not to pack a bookcase because I was donating it, and they said they could just drop it on their way. Basically they are awesome. A friend recommended them to me, and I am totally going to recommend them to friends. read more

I agree with all the positive reviews. I talked with Miguel on Thursday for a job on Monday. I met up with him and Frank in front of Sears in Burbank, where they picked up a giant washer/dryer set. They were on time. They safely transported the appliance to my house in their truck. They used a lift-gate to get this thing in the truck. It was important that the unit stay upright at all times and they managed to do that. They were very personable and focused. Once we got to the house, they helped me take out the old appliances and went above and beyond to decouple the old washer from the dryer that was mounted on top of it. This really took effort and creativity, and honestly, it's a bit out of their scope of work as movers, but they did it anyway because they could tell I really needed it done. They finished everything in less time than we had initially planned. They are affordable and were perfect for this somewhat complicated delivery job I was really stressing over. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Blue Collar Delivery and Sebastian is a LIFESAVER! I don't know what I would have done without them! I had called Sebastian early in the morning and to get a moving quote...but found out they didn't service my area. He was so nice that he referred me to some other companies--all of which were booked--and told me to call him again if I was unsuccessful with those. After three hours of calling other moving companies I called Sebastian again...and he agreed to help me out. He said he would send over a couple of his workers to help with the move (with the use of another company's moving truck) because he said I sounded stressed and he really wanted to help me out. I couldn't believe it...I swear I could have cried I was so happy. Correspondence with Sebastian was awesome too--he confirmed everything and kept in touch throughout the move. Art and Sandro arrived early at my place...SO polite and so pleasant to work with. They were eager and so fast I couldn't believe how quickly they were moving my things (from the third floor to the truck). They did so with smiles and in a very professional manner. They didn't waste time at all. They wrapped and made sure all my furniture was protected...What amazed me was how it seemed like my belongings shrunk once it was in the truck!! These guys can pack a truck--tetris win...and NOTHING was damaged. They were so good at securing my belongings in the truck. Happy Dance. The guys did not complain once and were pretty funny...they asked me if I wanted to put things in the truck that I had originally thought I'd have to put in my car. They would constantly say, "Oh! It will all fit...whatever needs to be put in the truck we can do!" What a great attitude. I hate moving...but these guys made it the easiest transition ever. We finished packing, loading, and unloading in about 4 hours!!?! They were GREAT! I told Sebastian I would 'yelp' them to the moon and back...because really..they deserve it! The most professional and efficient movers EVER!! They are seriously the best you can get! I was in a hurry to move and they had me out of my apartment in only 2 hours! It was amazing since they had arrived at the same time as another team of movers from a different company, and after two hours they were all done while the other team only had a quarter of their truck filled! I have never reviewed a company on Yelp before, but I felt compelled to praise the stellar service Blue Collar Delivery provided me with my recent move. Needless to say, they were absolutely fantastic. I was planning to move from Palms to Culver City (a distance of 1.5 miles) at the end of April. After researching various moving companies, and being quoted anywhere between $350-$450 for just two hours of work, a friend recommended Blue Collar Delivery to me, and I'm so glad they did. Miguel and company arrived earlier than their scheduled start time, and were fast, efficient, and very professional throughout the entire process. They brought all of their own equipment/moving supplies (shrink wrap, blanket, dolly, etc.), and all of my stuff made it safe and secure to my new apartment. Not only did they finish within our anticipated time window, but they only charged $85/hour, meaning the whole process cost me less than $200. A few months ago I was planning on packing up my entire house and just moving things out little by little. I figured if I took my time, I would get it done in a month or so. When it got close to the final day that we needed to leave the home that we no longer owned, I found myself and my wife (pregnant) stressing about our things. I got on yelp as my trusted source to see what people had to say. I called a few places but for some reason liked what people had to say about Blue Collar Delivery. The owner is a great guy. I liked that he would take my calls at all times. So I booked them. The day of, he showed up with 2 trucks and three guys. They were with me for about 12 hours. Even during the packing, they saw that maybe I had a little too much stuff and they called another guy to come and help. They were amazing at packing. I don't know how they made it all work in the storage but they did. I am now ready to use them again to move everything back into my new place. THIS IS WHERE THE REAL REVIEW WILL BE SEEN. One thing is getting it packed and moved and the other is packed, moved and unpacked. If these guys do a great job, you will get an update from me and you better use them if I say that they did a good job. Someone on Nextdoor.com recommended them so I looked them up on Yelp and they did have great reviews. I needed two sofas moved across town as well as a chair, some boxes and a stuffed gorilla (toy). They did a great job, were polite, efficient, fast... and had a great attitude. Here's how Sebastian explains their rates: "Our rates are pretty easy. It's 80$ per hour we pro rate the hour into 15 minute increments with no hourly minimum and absolutely no extra charges. Heard about them through a very kind yelp referral (called a moving company that doesn't do small moves -- referred to a small moving company that was booked -- referred to littles delivery) and spoke with Sebastian. Very friendly and professional, we organized for a move of 3 large items (TV hutch 7x5, mirror 5x2, wire shelving, and file cabinet 5x5) for the next day (Labor Day weekend Sunday). Sebastian and Sahil showed up on time with a large moving truck (think Uhaul $19.99 size) and quickly protected and loaded the items for our small move (Culver City to Glendora). It did take them a little longer to get to our place than we expected (they made a pit stop for gas and a drink since it was a super hot day and, of course, were driving a moving truck) but the final cost was just as Sebastian had estimated when we first talked and, even more awesome, was just as cheap as if we had rented a UHaul ourselves! For their professionalism, ease in scheduling (last minute, on a Sunday), price, and our sanity (can't imagine moving these giant items by ourselves, especially while keeping our eyes out for our two little girls), 5 stars! I first needed a small truck and some strong guys to help move the contents of a rented storage room to my new house. I called Sebastian and he sent 3 guys and two trucks, just in case one was not enough, at no extra charge. His intuition proved correct, as we needed both trucks. The guys on the team were polite, efficient, and very concerned about making sure everything was transported safely and securely. They wrapped just about everything in cloth padding and cling-wrap. At the destination, the unloaded and unwrapped everything, continually checking with me to ensure it was to my liking. It was! Several weeks later, and based on the positive experience I had with the storage unit move, I engaged the same crew to do a major move of my house -- over 2,000 square feet crammed full of bookshelves, computer equipment, desks, chairs, large furniture items, etc. This time, Sebastian sent 5 crew and 3 trucks, and the job necessitated 3 trips in all. The guys worked really hard, from 9am Saturday until 1am Sunday, with only a short break. Then the came back later Sunday and worked for another 6 hours. All this time, they maintained the same cheerful, courteous attitude I experienced during the first job. Overall, I'm very impressed by Blue Collar Delivery -- they're a lot less expensive than other movers I've used, and the quality of their work far exceeds many others I've used. For $80 an hour you are promised a crew of 2 people, a truck, dollies, shrink wrap, and friendly helpful attitude. Sebastian did arrive within the designated window, but he showed up with a 3 man crew. They were very quick, professional, and had great attitudes.
