This place has two immediate plus points: it's actually 24 hours AND it's effectively a front for a bakery alongside its diner function. Don't know anywhere else I could get a pecan pie on Thanksgiving Eve! The challah bread is their pride and joy and makes for a pretty good French Toast. Service is nice even at late hours. Ample seating and space makes for a good stop on late nights over I84

We stopped on our way through Connecticut for lunch. Plenty of parking! We were seated immediately. The waitress, Kelly, was pleasant and professional. I don't think she knew quite how to react to my jovial side, but that's fine. We were seated right next to the baked goods - and there were lots of them! My hubby got a slice of cheesecake after his meal. The menu was extensive & it was helpful that the foods were divided by meals (breakfast, lunch, & dinner.) We ordered our meals and they were served quickly. The food was good. It's a great place for a meal right off of exit 10 on I84!

While heading down 84, we decided to stop for breakfast at Blue Colony, which I've always been curious to visit. It was a pretty average experience, even for a diner. The waitress practically threw our dishes on the table and had zero personality. Food was okay but I definitely have spots I like better for breakfast. Good as a 24 hour option as there aren't many around.

Anything that needs that much cheese to taste good speaks volumes!!!! It was as nasty as it looks

It was a horrible experience from the owner that sat us to the waitress. Food was absolutely disgusting I have a picture of the Chili they brought and I had to send it back because it was not for human consumption.

Very fast takeout service. Breakfast sandwiches were slightly more enjoyable than dunks. Bread to egg/cheese ratio was off.

Unassuming from the outside, this local treasure opens into a cozy restaurant and event space with exceptional food and drink. Between the crackling fireplace, plush lounge seating, warm wood accents, sleek bar, and navy banquettes, the atmosphere feels both inviting and refined. The bartenders and entire staff were warm, polished, and genuinely attentive, creating an experience centered around the guest. My martini was aggressively shaken and served in a short coupe, topped with a delicate layer of ice crystals; despite the chill, the vodka-to-vermouth ratio was perfectly balanced. It was garnished with stellar Castelvetrano olives, freshly opened and proudly presented as an elevated touch to the classic cocktail. As for the fare, it was hands down one of the best meals I've enjoyed in quite some time. The Wagyu coulotte was cooked to perfection, accompanied by expertly prepared oyster mushrooms and crisp shoestring tallow fries. I could go on and on about the experience, but I'll simply say I can't wait to return. The thoughtful details and genuine hospitality made for an outstanding night out. We ordered the falafel as an appetizer and I will dream of this! You could tell it was freshly made and I don't think I'll ever have falafel that tastes better anywhere else! I had the shepherds pie, and it was delightful. There was a lot of beef and it had a lot of flavor.. even the potatoes had an incredible flavor and it was more than enough as a serving! The waitress was very sweet and accommodating - even with their technology down. 10/10 would recommend!

The special app tonight was a "stretched" pork dumpling which might be one of the best apps I've ever had. Normally I'm a sucker for the bao buns at Foundry but these are even better. Hope they stay on the menu. Spicy tuna poke was great as usual. My NY strip hit the spot and the pork shoulder sandwich was greatly enjoyed by my accomplice. Good attention, chef came out for a visit too. Looking forward to returning to try the other new items!

My friend and I both had burgers, which were delicious -- but what were REALLY awesome were the french fries. Slim, perfectly cooked and salted -- hoo mama. Other reviewers have mentioned that the menu has more of an Asian influence -- this continues to be true, and in fact, when we return I'd like to try some of those more specifically Asian or Asian-inspired dishes. One thing I perceived, though, was that the pickles on the burger were brined in something that tasted almost seafood-y -- I'm allergic so I don't think it was actual fish sauce or something, but something that gave it a slight fishy taste, like when you have seaweed. Anyway, that was the only thing I didn't care for -- but it didn't bother me enough to not want to try again! We loved the ambience and the location was also super convenient with free parking in the back. I'll update my review after my next visit!

My wife and I were at a distillery in Roxbury. We live in Danbury. I was looking for a quality food…read morespot in between and newtown came to mind. So, knowing that Sugo existed, I immediately routed us to their location, as this is a place that's been on my list of places to try. Short view? Everything started great. But did not follow through. The service was awesome. Our waitress, and forgive me as I cannot remember her name, was amazing. When we arrived we observed her interactions with her child and it automatically endeared her to us. And, as a server she was absolutely top notch. We understand from conversations, that she often works the bar. Either way she is awesome and the bright spot of our experience. The ambiance of the place was beautiful. Super refined looking, albeit with uncomfortable chairs at the tables. But I'm not looking for "comfort" per se, I'm looking for beauty. And this spot hits the mark. The we began ordering. Off the cocktail menu, I ordered their version of a pina colada and it was tasty af but definitely weak. My wife ordered a dirty martini with bleu cheese olives that she felt was weak. After those, we each ordered French martinis, that were super lacking in all flavor save for vodka. So strong, a bonus, but not good. As an app, we ordered their calamari which I order everywhere we go. This one lived up to the standard. Nice, big, meaty pieces of squid. A good breading, and a decent (if not underwhelming) sauce. I ordered their version carbonara as a main, and it was likewise, underwhelming. It was over buttered and over creamed. Which, if one knows anything about a traditional carbonara, it involves neither butter nor cream. I get that this is a gastropub and as such they will take liberty with ingredients and traditions; however, if I can make a better one at home... what's the point? My wife ordered the seafood grill which included branzino and shrimp. The branzino was delicious (but slightly over), but the shrimp stopped everything. The shrimp was rotten. On the plate it smelled like an unclean barn. I will say, we had to bring this issue to the attention of our server, and she kindly and appropriately comped our latter two drinks as a result. This made us happy as the drinks comped over the price of the plate, however, the smell is one that stays with us. Even at the time of this writing. We finished up our meal. I took home most of my carbonara as I felt confident I could make it taste good at home, but that's not the point of dining out. If and when I spend this type of money on food, I expect it to be right. This experience was not right. And if it weren't for the server, this review would be a 2 star.
