I got a mojito and a seafood dish (parihuela) that seemed bottomless.

And few of the reviews even stated that this restaurant was just as good but less expensive. And some reviews indicated it was a hit or miss when dining here. I just have to say that yes it's cheaper and no it should not be compared Los Andes. They may both be of a Peruvian cuisine but that's where the similarities ends. The product you get here is ok and cheaper and that's ok if you're not too worried about the quality and the taste, atmosphere or the service. This is a small dated restaurant that offers no atmosphere what so ever. Definitely not a clean restaurant by any means. Table surface was tacky and looks like the floor was not swept. I see scraps and debris under the table. So this was the the order Stuffed avocado app ( wasn't available) 1/2 rotisserie chicken ($9.50 good not dried out, but it's rotisserie chicken) Picante de marisco ( $13.99 seafood in a spicy salsa, Missing the octopus, came w/ 1 clam 2 mussel 3 shrimp, and small pieces of calamari It was bland and definitely not a hint of heat in this "spicy salsa" Arroz con marisco ( $13.99 seafood rice, Missing the octopus, came w/ 1 clam 2 mussel 3 shrimp, and small pieces of calamari This dish was also lacking in flavor So the octopus was the reason we ordered the seafood dishes and was omitted from the dishes. And the 1 clam and 2 mussels was the consolation I assume.

The views alone are beautiful right near point street. They do have heaters outside if it gets chilly. The drinks were good. I especially liked the coconut mojito. The appetizers were delicious. I did like my meal I had the quinoa bowl with salmon but I belt the lime or lemon they used over powered the bowl. I would next time ask for it in the side. I was with 3 other coworkers and we all did enjoy our time. Our waitress Sabrina was sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. I would say dress casual. They have street parking which can be a little tricky depending on the time. We had no issues parking in a Friday @5:30pm. Just a side note if you want to walk off your meal I would suggest walking down to the pedestrian bridge it has beautiful views especially in the evening. You might get lucky and catch some entertainment

At first glance, it looks like a typical restaurant, but once you walk inside you see it's a little oasis. The decor is unmatched---colorful and vibrant. Every detail is thought out and tasteful. They were so friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our time with them. They were personable, cared about our experience, and were proud of the restaurant. We were so thankful to have them to take care of us. The beverages were stunning, and tasted amazing. We loved them all! The cute glasses and flowers were quite the added touch! Our apps and food were all delicious! The desserts blew us away as well. This was a great restaurant, and we can't wait to get back to try more :)

From the moment the dishes started arriving at the table, it was clear that this kitchen takes pride in bold flavors, fresh ingredients & beautifully prepared classics. The appetizer menu was simply too tempting to choose just one item, so we decided to order a variety to share which was an excellent decision on our part because every bite was outstanding! We started with the Chicharrón de Calamar, perfectly crispy breaded calamari that had a satisfying crunch without being heavy. It was served with banana peppers & a trio of sauces that elevated the dish even further. The sauces included a vibrant green spicy sauce with just the right kick, classic ketchup & a creamy dressing reminiscent of thousand island. Each one complemented the calamari in a different way, making every bite a little adventure. Next came the Ceviche de Marisco: fresh seafood marinated in a tangy citrus lemon sauce with herbs & spices, served with sweet potatoes, onions & corn. The seafood was marinated in a tangy citrus lemon sauce creating that signature refreshing ceviche flavor & beautifully balanced with the veggies which are traditional accompaniments that added sweetness & texture. Another standout was the Causa Rellena de Pollo: mashed potatoes marinated in aji amarillo with a filling of chicken salad, mayonnaise, fresh avocado & black olive. This dish was as visually appealing as it was delicious! For the main dish, we shared the Lomo Saltado, a classic that never disappoints. Tender stir-fried chicken was tossed with chopped onions & tomatoes in a savory soy-based sauce, creating that irresistible balance of Latin & Asian influences that Peruvian cuisine is known for. It was served over fluffy white rice with crispy French fries, which soaked up the sauce beautifully. Overall, this was a fantastic meal full of flavor & authentic Peruvian flair. Ordering a little bit of everything made the experience even more enjoyable, allowing us to explore different textures & tastes from across the menu. Shark Bar delivered a memorable dining experience & definitely a place worth returning to for anyone who appreciates vibrant, well-executed Peruvian food. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

I tried the Papa a la Huancaína (boiled potatoes covered in a creamy cheese based Peruvian yellow sauce): the boiled potato was just that, and the sauce wasn't super flavorful. BUT I did love the Chicha Morada (traditional, non-alcoholic Peruvian beverage made from boiled purple corn, fruits, and spices) which was perfectly sweet and so refreshing! I loved the crunchy bits of apple too. Ambiance is beautiful: it's right by the river. Service was friendly, but it took a really long time to get even our drinks. 5/10 would not recommend for vegetarians/vegans.
