LOVE!!!! My best friend and I came here before we got to go to the mall for some shopping! Service: top notch!!! Matt was our server and he was on point with any requests and delivered nothing but great customer service. He helped us with some drink options and was able to point out a free way to Sopapilla. Food: I got to try the sour cream chicken enchilada, blue goose tamale and the brisket taco! I really loved the enchilada as it was loaded with flavor.. the Tamale was a little dry and it was a little cold. The brisket unfortunately lacked flavor, but the meat was really juicy and fresh! Drinks: Go for the Bloody Mary!!!! They bring you a glass of vodka and you get to do the rest! Its a make your own Bloody Mary and they have a Bloody Mary bar for your drink. Blue Goose is pretty much always a good bet for some tasty tex-mex. We came in a bit later in the evening to split some fajitas and some tortilla soup. The tortilla soup was super tasty! The broth was some of the most flavorful broth I have ever had, in any soup. My husband just about drank it dry, lol. Only small criticism we had on the soup was that the chunks of chicken were HUGE. It would be much easier to eat (especially in the small cups, like we got) if the chicken was shredded up quite a bit more. The fajitas were a bit of a mixed bag this time. The first skillet they brought out had no sizzle at all. I mean really, NONE. It was very strange, out of the hundreds of times I have ordered fajitas at a restaurant, they have always been sizzling on their skillet, no matter where we ordered them from. With this batch, the onions and peppers were just hanging out on the skillet, chilling out (literally). The meat looked awesome, but tbh the charred onions and peppers are my favorite part of fajita skillets, so I was pretty disappointed. We asked our waiter if they could just slide everything over to a different, hot skillet and he had the manager come see us. The manager apologized, and we let him know the meat looked great, we just wanted a little sizzle to our meal. He took the skillet back and the kitchen redid the whole thing. Tbh, our first batch of meat looked quite a bit better than what came back, lol, but it was still tasty. I do appreciate them taking care of the issue, and we really love the smoky flavor that is the signature of their fajita meat. My husband and I are Mexican food lovers. He actually read the other yelp reviews and thought this would be a great new place to try. First off we thought it was odd when the place had very few people (we got in before the lunch crowd time on Sunday) and they sat us in the far back corner. Farthest booth away next to a drafty cracked window and where extra boxes of alcohol was stored. Just odd not to sit us near other tables. On top of that our table was wobbly. We were tempted to rip part of the card board boxes filled with beer near us to stuff under our table leg to correct it ourselves. Service was eh.... nothing special. Salsa just ok. Chips were not made fresh. Right out of a bag and mostly small crumbly pieces. Queso we were told by our waitress was great was nothing spectacular. We ordered the sour cream enchiladas and OG tacos .... which honestly was meat that tasted like it was out of a can. Not fresh made taco shells but store bought. $12 per plate when it could've been $7-8 per plate for the crap they called "Mexican food". Nothing authentic, everything bland.... I can cook better than this and that's not saying much as I'm terrible in the kitchen. My husband regrets taking us to somewhere new. Just a sad disappointing lunch. I couldn't believe the good reviews on this place! Maybe people were too drunk to realize what good Mexican food tastes like?? Maybe these people have never had authentic and flavorful food before?? Just sad that people continue to go there and think it's "oh sooo good"...... don't waste your money or time. Traveled all the way to this location to celebrate with a group of friends. I had never dined at a blue goose location so I was eager to try the food. Our party was seated fairly quickly upon arrival which was nice. Like most chain Tex mex restaurants we were served chips and salsa to nibble on while making our meal decision. I will say I was pleased with the chips, they were not overly salted or greasy like other Tex mex restaurants I've visited in the past. The salsa on the other hand I was not a fan of, it was way to chunky for my taste. But back to the food at hand, I ordered the full order of chicken quesadillas. Our food came out in a decent amount of time. I really enjoyed it There was just the right amount of cheese and it was not greasy like some restaurants serve them. I would definitely recommend them. Now to why I am only giving three stars. The only issue we experienced was the waiter. He was very timid and did not appear to know or feel confident in his ability. His on edge demeanor throughout our meal made me nervous. I had to ask him at least three times for things because he consistently forgot them. The last couple of times we went to this particular Blue Goose we sat in the bar section and was waited on by a young lady that was too worried about her phone than helping us. We literally had to ask her for more refills and to order our food as she stood behind the cash register behind the bar on her phone the whole time. We were there for what seemed liked forever waiting on her forever when she wasn't behind the bar. We will not be going back to this location which sucks because their food and drinks are really good. Her attitude was disgusting. As I mentioned in my other Blue Goose review, I was returning after not stopping by for several years. I had several previously bad experiences at the chain so I stopped making an effort (not this location). Unfortunately, it was for a going away party for a good friend. He generously plied us with a number of appetizers . The ones I had were good. The drinks were on us. The dedicated server to the rotating table of about 20 was great. I had a beer and then switched over to their specialty drink Blood Orange Mimosa. WOWZERS!!! I love blood orange anything and this was no exception. Prosecco with blood orange sherbet dolloped into the glass. Keeping everything straight and tabbing out at the end was easy. It was a nice return to the Blue Goose Chain. read more

Um, this is not good Mexican food Perhaps living in Vegas has made me an honorary Mexican. The guacamole was out of a package, no acutal avocado to be found. So much chicken in the tortilla soup and the salt! Then cheedar shredded cheese on top. No, not good either. The rice was decent, the refied beans also smothered in cheese from a can. In additiion to being seated in the parking lot outdoors, why? We wanted to sit outside, but after passing 9 tables, we were seated Had to ask to be moved. I had a really good experience here. The service was good, and the food was pretty good. I ordered the sangria popsicle margarita ($10--not worth the money. You are paying $3 extra for the popsicle stick) and brisket tacos. The chips and salsa were the BEST. The salsa was really thick and chunky with loads of onions and cilantro. I also had a sangria margarita which WAS worth the money ($6.50). It's kind of in a dead area since a lot of the restaurants have gone out of business nearby, but don't let that fool you. But a horrible experience coming here. First off we get seated and there are dirty tables everywhere. The girl comes by and brings us the chips and salsa. When she brought out the utensils, mine were stuck to the napkins. This prompted me to check the utensils. All of our silverware were filthy. We started to eat. Although the salsa tasted fresh but it was very bland. We ordered our food. Everything was very flavorless. I had the street tacos and the beef was tasteless. The chicken was dry and it, too, yielded no flavor. My family's food across the table was similar. We had two chimichangas that were supposed to be beef. We got one beef and one chicken. Since they were getting ready to close we didn't have them remake the beef. Both chimichangas were under flavored. Even the queso was flavorless. Thinking this would be the same menu and food quality of the one we frequent in Addison, it was not! Not the same extensive menu. The frozen Margarita for $10 was the size of a cup of juice. Total ripoff, the so called salsa that came with chips was NOT salsa, just chopped vegetables. The Taco salad meat was way too salty and the taco shell tasted like a cracker not a taco shell, to cap it all off, when we asked for desert, either sopapillas or ice cream they said they were out! I was in the area and saw this restaurant off the frontage road so I decided to give it a try since I was hungry for some chicken fajitas. Off the start it was a bit hot in the place but I guess keeping the thermostat at 85 conserves electricity so can't fault them for that. Once the fajitas came I was a bit perplexed to see only four strips of chicken on the order and the tortillas were the size of soft taco shells and were all misshapen and a little over cooked. We didn't even get to our food because the service was terrible, except for the manager, he was great but the GM and our waitress, don't recommend! We come in, order drinks and we are sitting outside, keep that in mind. The GM comes out, haven't even seen him before and tells us we can't vape outside, even though the waitress didn't say a word about it. We don't mind if you can't but the way his attitude came off was the reason it made us upset, there's no sign or anything so we didn't know! Then he came back outside a little while later and checked on every single table except for us. Then brought us more chips and just slammed them down. We called the manager over and let him know that we don't feel welcome and we didn't know what we did for him to act this way towards us, the waitress asked him what was wrong and then after being told she went over to the GM and they started laughing about it and talking about us, they then went in the back I guess to talk about us more! We then got up and told the manager we were leaving, because we don't feel welcome at all. He offered to give us a gift card but we didn't even want it because we will not be back if that's how they're going to act! Especially the GENERAL MANAGER, you would think he would have at least a little bit of hospitality but no. Again don't recommend this location. read more

Blue Goose Cantina in Grapevine was one of our favorite Mexican dining experiences. Since the virus, the restaurant has gone down the crapper. On two separate dining experiences we were disappointed. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp fajitas, our favorite. When they were delivered to us they were cold and the bacon was not totally cooked. Even the beans were cold. So I wrote a letter to that particular Blue Goose in Grapevine and relayed to them our experience. The restaurant sent me a gift card. So last weekend we tried it again with the same results. The only thing that was hot, but late, were the tortillas. The margaritas were watered down. I'm not sure if there was even any tequila in them. We will not be returning. Owner Nick Peterson should be made aware. read more

What a pleasant surprise. Stopped in for the first time, for me, my fiancé has been here before, and it was an absolute treat. All of the small things that so many restaurants take for granted like the salsa and the appetizers were absolutely incredible here as well. The goose eggs are incredible and have to be tried. I'm a regular at every blue goose.. this one sucks. The server was so bad she didn't even bring us plates. We asked for cheese 4 times which is supposed to come with fajitas. We waited so long for her to get things right and we had a 6 month old so by the time she did we wanted to go..... we asked for a Togo cup for our drinks and the manager was RUDE. He came over to our table and said very abrasive," these are for your waters .. RIGHT?" And I said no they are for the rest of our drinks we are leaving. And he was insanely rude and reached across me and my Husband over our entire table and grabbed the to go cup out of my hand. I couldn't believe what he had done but it had already happened. Jeff if you ever reach over someone again and especially over a child!!! To grab something out of my hand!!! You will not leave out of there without a police call that's for sure. I don't normally like to give a bad review just based on service but this was horrible. There were six people at the bar and three people behind the bar. We could not get a drink. I asked for water three times and never got it. I would have happily had another margarita but couldn't get the bartenders' face out of their phones. By the time they asked if I wanted food I was fully annoyed but still ordered tacos and another margarita. Didn't get the drink. Got the tacos and the first bite was delicious. I had to go to the host stand to get utensils. Still no water. Still no margarita. I asked the bar back for a box and my bill. This place gets a second star for the bar back and my first bite of taco. The couple sitting next to me still didn't get to order by the time I left. The bar was filthy. Save your time and money. Go to Taco Bell and make your own margarita. You could probably grow the limes yourself and get quicker results read more
