We didn't make reservations so we had a good 30 min wait, but a random waitress gave my kiddos raw dough to play with while we waited. After being seated, the waiter was attentive and very friendly. The food was awesome. Salsa was on point. Even my picky kids ate the quesadillas and enchiladas which never happens. It is pretty small, but it's comfy and the food is worth it. BUT, and it's a big one.. a $4 up-charge to sub Impossible meat on the nachos and another $4 up-charge to sub Impossible meat in a pick 3 combo with cheese enchiladas is a bit much! Just doesn't make much sense for a family of 4 to have to spend $100 because they're vegetarian/vegan. Don't up-charge the vegans and vegetarians so much they stop coming. read more

I odered so many things because I was hungry, had extra cash to spend, and wanted to try it all. lol So let me go with the bad news first and then the good...The shrimp wrapped in bacon came at luke warm, so that wasn't so good, the bean, beef and cheese nachos were just ok. Now for the good stuff...The loaded Queso is the BEST in town. The goose eggs were so HOT, so you must be brave, but the flavor is amazing. The Fajitas were better than average, the chicken quesadillas have an awesome flavor, and the soapapillas (did I even spell that right? lol) were so delicious. My waiter's name was Logan, and he too is AMAZING! Overall, I can't wait to go back for the killer drink specials they have, and some more Queso!!! read more

I spent nearly $40 on an appetizer tray that literally was enough food for one person for one meal. To be fair it was delivered so that was part of the cost, but it was $25 for the plate before tax or anything else. I don't know if the person that made it was quitting that day or just angry they had to put together multiple types of food. There is no real way to justify throwing enough food to barely fill a cereal bowl into a party platter sized foil container and pretending like that's what I paid for. If they'll cheat me on $30 worth of food I can't imagine they'll do a good job on a $12 plate. I wouldn't recommend eating here especially since the food was about as good as the frozen TGI Fridays appetizers you can get at the grocery store. read more

I placed an online order for fajitas for 2 and an order of queso to go. After standing near the bar area for several minutes, I was ignored by the bartender and eventually greeted by the bar back that was bringing to go orders out. The bar back brought me my order, handed it to me and quickly walked off without reviewing anything/ensuring my food was all accounted for. Due to the fact that my to go order was incomplete the last time I ordered to go from this restaurant, I looked through the bag to ensure my entire order was included. I quickly noticed that I was missing rice, beans and only had 3 tortillas. After 3 attempts and returns to the kitchen to "fix" my order, the bartender took the bag to the manager (Jose) for resolution. A short time later, the manager returned with my bag of food. Jose sets the bag of food down and says "all that was missing is some rice, no biggie". His tone and smart ass comment was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I explained to him everything that had transpired and how many attempts had been made to correct the order. He replied with, well it's all there while continuing to smirk. I expressed to Jose, that I didn't care if it was 1 thing or 20 things that were missing...the fact that my order was missing items, wasn't corrected after 3 attempts and that his smirk and care less attitude wasn't helpful. Jose tossed a container of rice in the bag and stated, it's all there now. I asked the manager for his name and he replied, Jose and I AM THE MANAGER! At tis point I finally have most of the food and decided to cut my losses and head home. The food was cold and I was still missing an order of beans! I've never had a bad meal or service at the Addison or Frisco locations so, I just assumed this was a one off experience. However, this is the 3rd poor experience at this location in 2 months. There are plenty of eating establishments in the metroplex and Grapevine, save yourself from a piss poor experience and lackluster food by visiting any other restaurant. read more

My wife and I decided to stop in and try out the beef and chicken fajitas for two and iced tea. The waiter was good, the speed of service was spot on. However the fajitas were bland and lacking. The tea, and salsa were good but the chips tasted like they were cooked in oil that should have been changed a week ago. I'm a big fan of the original on Greenville, but living with a family in the burbs means we don't always get in to the city. Plus with kids, it's no fun to hang out at a place where there are drunk 23 year olds flirting with each other. We stopped at this place on a Sunday which was great. It's just been open a month so it was easy to find a table. I liked that we could get brunch until 3 which meant my husband could get the migas (yum, but not the best migas I've ever tasted). I have the verde chicken enchiladas and they were excellent. They only came with refried or pinto beans which is a bummer - I prefer black beans and neither beans they had were that great. My daughter got a quesadilla which was fine, but $4.95 for a plain cheese quesadilla without a drink was no bargain when sodas cost $1.50. She would have preferred a virgin margarita but I wasn't going to spend $6 on a smoothie she can get for $1.50 at Costco. The decor is about what you expect from a mexican restaurant. Lots of turqouise and faux distressed stuff. Good though. I do have a bunch of business collegues who end up in Grapevine occasionally so it's nice that this place will be available. It's good real Tex Mex as a decent price and feels more authentic than Mi Concina. read more

I found Blue Goose Cantina a couple of years ago while at a meeting. Since that time it has become my go to place when I attend conferences in the area. It is easy walking distance from a number of hotels and you can take a quick detour to the mall on your way there or back. The food is good and inexpensive. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The alcohol is cheap! And did I mention the food is a good representation of Tex-Mex. read more

Had a very nice first experience Saturday evening at 7pm. We were able to eat at the outside bar with no waiting. Server and manager were very accommodating! Food was good as usual! I visited Blue Goose Cantina last week for the first time. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. We had a large group so we ordered several things, meaning I got to taste almost everything HA. The Loaded Queso with beef fajita meat, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo was very yummy. Fajita beef fajitas were DELICIOUS! I love the fajita meat here. It is perfectly smoky and tender. What really surprised me was the flavor of the refried beans, they were really really good. Many Mexican/Tex Mex restaurants don't take much care with the beans, it's almost a forgotten side, but here they are very flavorful. They have an appetizer that is made of jalapenos stuffed with chicken and cheese and then fried. The filling and crust are outside are flavorful BUT be warned, the jalapenos are really hot. I couldn't eat as much of it as I normally would have, which I suppose could be a good thing. lol The Guacamole, ho-hum. Not as flavorful as I would have liked. I did try their basic margarita, Blue Goose Margarita (?) and it was worth the money! Great taste and not watered down. Also, the sopapillas were YUM! Our server was a guy names Logan and he was awesome. Logan had a great attitude , friendly demeanor and was knowledgeable about the menu. Honestly, I don't believe he wrote anything down when taking our orders but our orders came out right. He was so patient waiting for us to make our choices and willing to answer all of our questions. He made our experience very pleasurable. I enjoyed my experience at Blue Goose. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone craving Tex Mex in a casual, friendly environment. read more

Drinks came. Ordered food. Never got more chips or Queso. After an hour, we left. Tried to pay for drinks at the bar. The bar was full, and one bartender. She said she couldn't accept money. Other people had been waiting 20 minutes to see the manager. Nobody could find her. I tried to get the office address to write a letter. It's impossible. They will NOT give it to you. I left a comment on their website. The Assistant Manager called. Blah blah blah. Wanted to send me gift cards. I assured I was never coming back. I love the variety I even more loved my server Claire being in the service industry myself I have a very critical stance when it comes to my service and she was able to point me towards what was one of my favorite meals! Anyway, we ordered our beverages and food. Never once did our bartender/waitress come by to check on us or update us on the food. But the other person kept bringing us chips and salsa. After 45 mins being here and watching everyone that arrived after us eating there food, I flagged down the waitress and said to cancel my order. She asked if I wanted to wait she could get me queso while she found out what was going on with the food. Wait even longer?? Daughters chicken had more fajita meat than our beef and chicken. Everybody got setups of rice and tasty chara beans. Pico, scoop of guac, pinch of grated cheese. No offer of sour cream. Hot and tasty all around. Wife liked the sangria swirl margarita. $27.99 for the fajitas not too bad but you could have paid the same at Gloria's and had a bigger spread. read more
