I went to Blue Martini on Valentine's Day with two of my friends. It was about 9:30 and several tables had reserved signs on them. When we asked if we could sit until the parties came we were told we could not. Well at 12:30 the tables still had reserved signs on them ....apparently they had not been reserved but they were offering bottle service to anyone who would pay. Needless to say all of the tables remained empty throughout the entire night! Every time we would sit at the table they would chase us away....and they were very rude about it! Ok I waited 6 months to go back. Happy Hour still not 1/2 price. Glass of wine $12 happy hour $6.50 does that look like 1/2 price to any one? Menu reads 1/2 price 4-8 so another round of drinks ordered bill comes everything charged FULL price server says Oh happy hour ends at 7 WTF is wrong with this place? Print new menu's with the over charge of drinks NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN what the .50 cents is for because the staff is not competent. I know what is for you just belatedly want $6.50 a glass. This place certainly draws a crowd. I met a friend here for Happy Hour. The martinis deserve a thumbs up, but the appetizers did not impress us. In addition, a couple days after I visited this place, someone named Souza used my credit card to buy an iPad at Toys R Us in Chandler. You make your "reply" sound as if this is the first time you are hearing of this. I live near City North so having this place around the corner is phenomenal! Dallas and John know how to run a night club/bar the right way... Of a weekend there is ALWAYS beautiful people. Yes, there are a lot of older women, but they are just as hot as the younger crowd that also makes its way there. If not, the cocktail waitresses and bartenders are friendly and very easy on the eyes... doesn't hurt that they are wearing corsets! Anyway, normally I do vodka when I'm at Blue, I was there on an off-night and split a bottle of wine. I was told their more obscure wines are on the 'Captain's List' which allows each location to bring in different wines. I had the Hans Fahden Cabernet... GREAT! This bottle drank well beyond it's price tag. Bold in flavor but very smooth. Ask for it! read more

Happy hour food is excellent. Patio with live music is great too. Would rate the place higher except the bar service was unfriendly and i couldnt drink the margarita which was sickly sweet. Dark haired bartender was /is great - the blonde no so nice. Staying close to City North for next couple weeks think I might try the place again before I leave Phoenix. read more

Let's start with the entrance...I commend you for trying to make the appearance of high class night club... But your not ....your dance floor is small and crowded with tables and chairs around it...next the 10 dollar cover charge to get in...ok so it's just 10 dollars no biggie I can pay a cover for a good place with atmosphere and music...but as you get passed the cashier I get stopped because I was wearing a ball cap ... "sir we don't allow those here please take it off."..this guy was taking his job way to serious..but I obliged and removed it and said I am just picking up my wife I'll be in and out in 2 min...he said you need to pay to get in...again I said just picking up not staying...he said ..hmm ok make it quick..so I go look and I find my wife and she is having fun apearantly. ..so I grab my hat and put it back on because I see a guy on the so called dance floor wearing a cowboy hat so I assumed it was ok...again I get stopped by a different security guy...I said to him I will not put it back on but please go get a manager or whomever so I can talk to them...and he does..so while waiting I go to the bar to get my wife another drink and one for me as well...but first since I guess I am staying I need to go pay the 10 dollars to stay..so I did and went and paid for my drinks...I got a crown/7 and a cinnamon toast crunch shot...my tab for those two drinks 21 dollars... I look in shock ....like what did you just say...21 dollars...wow...on top of a cover charge now I'm paying a redicculous drink charge...way to much...overpriced drinks ...so then a manager shows up I give my wife her drink and I pull him away from their party as not to make any scene...and ask why am I not allowed to wear a ball cap....all he kept saying is ...it's policy...ok why can you not answer my question...there is a guy who it's wearing a cowboy hat inside and it's ok but my hat isnt...why... his words to me at this moment were epic.." sir it's policy and it looks tacky and like trash"... as I'm standing in front of him...hmmm...it's just got insulted and I smiled...so I grabbed my wife and here party and told them...they were all in shock..the ironic part is I was at this place a year ago during the winter time it was dead..only the front bar was open and I was in jeans and a hoodie and a ball cap and never once got told it was policy or that I was trash...but I guess this is the new way to attract whatever crowd you want to pick and choose from...I think this was not handled at all professionally and that they are trying hard to be something they cant...which will cause it to fold and not do well...I will go out of my way to let everyone I know and it's alot...never to go here ...until I feel like it gets some resolve...this place had potential but getting dressed up in suits and walking around like you a badass and eveyone should kiss your ass does not make blue martini a classy joint...you all have no idea read more

I have been out and about to as many spots as North Scottsdale has to offer and I believe I have found my new "waterin hole". BTW if you decide to make the visit ask for Gabe at the front door and introduce yourself, I swear he is like rainman with peoples names and very friendly. I have visited 5 times now and have only decided to write about it because I usually get let down immediately after a place finishes its "honeymoon" period, but I have to say everytime I go I have an even better experience. (it could be because they serve a 5 oz Grey Goose martini for 7 dollars at Happy Hour), but I swear the staff is always friendly and the women always beautiful. If you're 21-30, and looking to enjoy great evening entertainment, don't waste your time or money making the drive here. Blue Martini attracts age groups of 35+, and offers live music with a good size dance floor. The club itself is a great size and has multiple bars, with some decent looking staff. However, you will pay on average $12 for a small sized drink, they under staff themselves during their busiest hours so expect long wait times to get a drink, and parking generally is a good walk from the club. I probably wouldn't return, even if I had free drinks all night. read more

We arrived at this place for Latin night and my sister is visiting from Mexico. She had her visa aka passport and the manager would not let her in. She's 39 years old. So very disappointing. We never got an explanation as to why she couldn't go in. We were told to leave and couldn't come in. We drove over an hour to get there only to turn and go to a different club. Blue Martini Patio is a Cigar Bar. It's not touted as such, but If you like being surrounded by cigars and cigarettes, then this Happy Hour is for you. Disappointed in the smokey patio, we left because of all of the smoke, but happy with the service, drinks and flatbread. I'd say it's your call. I won't be back. read more

I've been at the Blue Martini three or four times now and I've begun to warm up to the place. I have yet to try the food, but as far as the drinks go they kick ass! The area has a nice neighborhood feel to it even though most of the condos have yet to be sold. It reminds me of a poor mans New Orleans. The patio area is well suited for people watching and as mild as this spring has been up to this point, it's a real bonus to sit outside and relax. The staff and security are generally nice and professional and the service is good and expeditious. The DJ was average at best and there is room for improvement. I don't know who the owners or managers are and I quite frankly don't care. As far as boobs and botox goes... that element is definitely present, but hey, there's no shame in wanting to look your best. However, having said that, I had one near fatal encounter... On my last visit there was this cougar stalking the grounds and her skin looked like beef jerky, and there was plenty of crevices too, very attractive, duh! One would be excused for believing this woman had been mummified. I was given the impression that she had been excavated when they found King Tut's Tomb, I don't know if someone ferried her back across the river Styx but she was absolutely brutal, no joke. Love the atmosphere of this place, but the service SUCKS. Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse. We come here every Monday to listen to our friends play acoustic during happy hour. Up until this past Monday (5/19/14), we could put up with the horrible service, but when there are only four tables seated and you have to wait for over 10 minutes to put in your first drink order, should've been a sign of things to come. We could see the waitress peeking around the pillar at us and then go back to her conversation with her coworkers. The waitress was fairly new because I remember meeting her last week, but they are all the same. Our food order was taken just after our drinks were delivered and still had not arrived after 45 minutes ( it never takes that long). She informed us that it would be right out but still never came. After sitting there with empty glasses for 20 minutes we decided to close our tab. We were there a total of 90 minutes. We will never be coming back to this place again. read more

It was exactly as I expected. Crowded. Full of guys decked out in embroidered jeans, too much cologne, high on testosterone, and bad highlights. The generations did span the horizon, but I couldn't care less about that. If you are charging $12+ for a drink, first off, make it correctly, and secondly, don't leave it sitting in the shaker so long that it's watered down before I've even taken the first sip. My husband and had an attempted pick up by some swingers...interesting. We passed on that thrill, but deemed ourselves cool in that they picked us and our utter hotness, lol... If I had done this review after the first two times I went there, it would have amounted to 4 or 5 stars. However, the last couple of times it really seems that the place has deteriorated. It is a high-end place for sure, but come on, $12.50-$14.50 for a drink and a cover charge on top of that!!! They have live music and usually the cover bands are pretty good. This is definitely a "meat market" with a lot of middle-aged men coming straight from getting their testosterone shots, driving up in their Porsches and Ferraris to look for that much younger large-breasted fortune-seeker (wow, the stereotypes are flying now). There is definitely a surplus of men, and it doesn't give you the sense that a lot of them are there to have a good time, but rather to stand around and gawk, hoping to score. Went on a Weds night last week and it was my first time there. My roommate and I ordered several drinks and the Brie plate (maybe called something different, but it had Brie and crackers and fruit on it). Brie plate was to die for, literally the best I've ever eaten. Drinks were good (I just do Ketel on the rocks but my roommate ordered several mixed drinks and she said they were very good). What I enjoyed most about the place was how kind the bouncer and especially waitress was. The live music was also excellent - playing a variety of relatively recent hits as well as some older ones. Another thing I should mention is that my roommate is in a wheelchair, so obviously I was concerned how that would go at a high-end, swanky bar, but she was kindly accepted and never felt out of place, looked down upon or made to feel like she shouldn't be there. Maybe this was because we went on a Wednesday and it wasn't crowded at all, but regardless, she and I really enjoyed ourselves and will be back in the future . read more

She recommended drinks after asking us pointed questions about our tastes. The band was awesome and the people watching was fun!! I came here with three friends Last night to have a few drinks and absentmindedly left my Business Platinum credit card at the bar. Came back just now to retrieve it and find out they bent the fucking card in half. It isn't broken in half, but after using it a few times it's going to break. I asked the attendant what happened to the card, he has no idea, I asked who was working last night, he has no idea.. I asked where are the two girls that were working behind the bar last night..I have no idea, I asked another guy behind the bar "how did this happen and why would someone bend my fucking credit card in half"? I will never fucking come back to this shithole again... rude..fucking rude rude rude.. no fucking clue, just cater to made up lizards.. there are a plethora of alternate night life spots nearby that are much more respectful to people... I went with my girl friend for a drink after work and we had an amazing time. I loved our waitress she was fun and very professional considering she was in a baby blue corset! I really liked the vibe and the décor. This is totally a 30+ bar right now but they are trying to get a younger crowd coming in. I think it would be a great ladies night out spot for people my age (23), their martini are $12-14 but happy hour is from 4-7 and Wednesday is ladies night so half price all night. You have to try one of their crazy martinis I would recommend the Brazilian or the very dirty. We are already planning on going back. read more

First time here i love the place....showed up with a few friends for happy hour, can't beat the deals they got going on.
