I never have to wait, she takes her time and always does an exceptional job on my nails. The prices are definitely affordable for the area, lower than some of the more popular salons like Nail Bar where you get overcharged for basic services. I called and asked to come in to get my dip powder removed, they told me it would take 15 minutes but it took 45.. not a huge deal but I was on my lunch break and it took most of my time. Half way through taking them off i clarified that I did not want a manicure, just the removal of the dip. I noticed she stopped putting as much effort and left some redness (from the red dip) around my nails. Also towards the end of my appointment I noticed this sign hanging above another station.. kind of worrisome. It raises questions like "are their tools not clean?" "has someone else gotten sick or infections from their tools?" I was actually very surprised, i've been getting my nails done for 10+ years and I've never seen a sign asking customers to purchase their own tools. Dip removal was $15, but there's a $20 minimum and there's no ATM. I had to pay $20 flat. I wouldn't recommend this place and I don't think i'll be back. read more

I wish we'd had a better experience here. We were really looking forward to a relaxing time. We scheduled ahead for three and when we got there there was only one person available. We ended up being very late for a special dinner. We came specifically for the combo packages (I did request this ahead of time) but when they did almost nothing in terms of mani and pedi spa services I honestly gave up because we were so far behind (an hour behind by the time we got to manis) that we would have been there for even longer. Two of us sat there 40 min waiting to even get started then they quickly did a very disappointing pedi. I was very clear we all just wanted the regular polish on our toes and two were getting acrylics on our hands. They put gels on one of my daughter's toes and told me she asked for them after they did it. She was behind me and they did it quickly. My daughter did NOT ask for this. She had never gotten them before and didn't realize what they were doing. I totally understand businesses are struggling with the pandemic. We were being very flexible and understanding and this went way beyond dishonest. My nails came out ok. But we most certainly will NOT go back after being hugely overcharged for what they actually did. I don't often write reviews and felt people should know to watch out. If you go, get a total price ahead of time and make sure they actually do the service you're asking for as they go. This was a really bad experience. All three of us were really disappointed. AVOID. Updated to add: I had to take the acrylic nails off my older daughter. They were supposed to be almond shaped but so pointy it scratched her to put her hair up. We will also have to remove the acrylics on her toes because sports and shoes. Most of my nails have now fallen off on their own a week after the appt. This was my first time going to Blue Nail Spa and I went based on the high Yelp reviews but had a VERY mediocre experience. I called an hour in advance for a pedicure on a Saturday evening at 6:00 pm, an hour before they closed. I arrived for my appointment on time and a few minutes in, I realized the technician was in a hurry. I didn't mind since I was enjoying my book and the massage chair until it was clear I was supposed to leave. I kindly told her I had a page left in my chapter and she asked me to pay. Once again, I turned a blind eye and she left the salon in a hurry when it was shy of 6:20 pm. It wasn't until I got to my car that I realized I had an excessive amount of polish on the skin of my toes. Frustrated and feeling like I had already given the technician the benefit of the doubt, I went back in and asked the owner to help remove the polish from my skin. She did fix the problem but I left the salon bitter. As a consumer of these services, I find myself to be very fair and understanding. However, this was a very poor first impression of the salon and I will not be coming back. Even though my pedicure turned out OK in the end, the entire experience was unenjoyable. read more

I had no issues with my pedicure, except the lady scrubbed me WAY too hard with the product. Felt like she was sandpapering my skin off my legs, lol. The pricing was expensive even with the discount, but hey my toes looked way cute. My girlfriend got a refill here, and our usual spot told us whoever did the refill didn't do a good job cleaning her nails before refilling. Her nails ended up turning yellowish = fungus. 3 Friends, on a Saturday afternoon, looking for a place for a pedicure while in Mountain View. We saw the awning "Blue Nail Spa" and thought we'd give it a try. What a great place. Very calm atmosphere, with light, relaxing music playing in the background. We were greeted by the manager, and she was very accommodating to us "walk ins". We proceeded to receive one of the best pedicures we've ever received. Their "regular pedicure" $28 consists of a nice soak, the regular trimming and filing, while in a massage chair, an orange scrub on your legs and feet, a lotion massage on your legs and feet, hot towel, and polish. Anywhere else you go, this would be considered a "deluxe pedicure". The ladies were SO nice that we will most definitely go back down there!! I visited Blue nail spa to have a PEDICURE, of which I asked for when I came through the door, which they walked right on by with, "Oh you mani pedi?" I want what I asked for when I said, Do you have time for a Pedicure? I opted for the $50 pedi which consisted of a warm milk bath, water was cold and when ask to heat up the water the young lady went to the back to get a tea kettle of water, Damn girl are the pipes broken? A exfoliating sugar scrub to reveal refreshed and glowing skin. I was so excited, I stand and walk on my feet all day so this seemed inviting. Nope! A dreamy massage with butter cream, hot stones and a warm paraffin wax. Yessss bring on the massage! It was ok, she had strong hands but man she did it in such a hurry I didn't even have time to close my eyes and enjoy. It was myself and one other young lady who was getting her nails done so I thought she would surely take her time and exfoliate my legs and attend to my calluses and address the tight muscles in my calves, but Nope, as soon as someone walked through the door it was a rushed job from there. I only got the full ten minutes of leg massage because she put the timer on, after that timer I was polished and headed to the cashier. Customer service is everything! I worked in customer service for 20 years before I began my career in healthcare so to say this was the worst experience is reaching but it definitely wasn't the best. And the hurried manner in which these nail shop take is horrible. Customer first, we aren't always right but we know what we want and how we should be treated. read more

Found this place since I work nearby on Sundays. I have to say I'm very happy with the service I received. I had a walk-in appointment and was served in ten minutes. The nail tech was named Jenny, and she is very sweet and thorough! I got a basic mani-pedi for $40. I loved her massages, she is very attentive especially on the finger joints. She let me know she only works Sundays, so try for her then! I was done in less than an hour and a half. There were only a few nail techs working, but it still wasn't too busy. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Good for me since I was served quickly... but I thought maybe it would be busier since Valentine's Day is coming up. However, just a note. Even there weren't many other customers, I witnessed two women from separate parties be EXTREMELY rude to the nail techs (about their wait time even though they didn't have an appointment, and about them not understanding what they were saying). The ladies who work here are really lovely and friendly, and they did a good job on my nails (the actual paint job wasn't amazing, which is why I took off a star, but it didn't really bother me). Would have been 4 stars if they honor the yelp discount, which is 20% off for Monday-Thursday 10am-3pm. (To be fair, the signage outside has changed to 20% off for Monday-Tuesday 10am-3pm. They said the discount was recently changed, but since the owner wasn't there, I didn't argue for the yelp discount.) Walked in on a Wednesday morning for a pedicure. The lady (not owner) was able to take me in right away. The nail polish wall has a good collection of OPI, Essie, and other brands of polish. Mani-Pedi combo: $40 Pedicure only: $28 extra massage/hot stone massage: +$10 There are also other upgrade options/package available. I opted for Pedicure with extra massage, which included nail shaping, cuticles care, sugar scrub, paraffin, hot stone & lotion massage, and polish. The massage chair is comfortable and a plastic lining was used for the soaking tub. I can't tell if they sanitize the tools, since it was already on in a tray when brought to the station. No TV or music, but I was on my cellphone anyways. Water or other form of beverage was not offered. The ladies were courteous and made some small talk (but they mostly talked to each other). The lady did a good job with the pedicure and the massage. I would have preferred less cutting of the cuticles, but I also didn't say anything at the time, so not really her fault. A warm fan was used to dry the polish, which made sure the polish dried quickly and properly. There is a sign, asking for tips in cash, but they will take credit card still. I go to Lux beauty salon for my nails and made a BIG BIG mistake by coming here. Very shabby work quality for a gel French manicure. They were sweet to accommodate me at 7 pm but the nails look terrible. Uneven thickness and very poorly put nail paint. And this costed me almost $50. Ridiculous. Will never go again. Exceptionally clean and safe. Before Covid hit, I chose this nail spa because it was the cleanest one and with the best quality service. It remains exceptionally clean. Nail techs wear gloves, double layer masks, and PPE gowns. There is plexiglass protecting you and the nail tech during the service. The massage chairs all work.
