About a month ago I had a horrible experience with an emloyee named Michael. Extremely rude & the poorest of customer courtesy ever. Management should consider some training in communication skills with this individual. He totally DOES NOT know how to communicate whatsoever. When I asked to speak to the manager he gave me a bogus phone number. Yet another example of his poor ability to handle his position. Zero stars is my rating!!! Would like to add that in spite of my recent experience with the one employee, overall Blue Planet Laundry is great. A credit to them is another employee named Stacey. Someone stole my laundry basket :( More washing machines were out of service that what could be used. The aisle are TOO small. I ended up with a machine that didn't actually work - no hot water. I appreciate the heck out of the yelp check-in freebie of detergent but I would rather have my things not stolen. Love this place! We live down the street and don't have a washer or dryer so this is where we go. The staff is always so friendly and helpful plus they're open on most holidays. They offer the options of up to 8 loads in one washer so it's really convenient especially when you have to do your bedsheets/ comforter / and pillow cases. This spot is always very clean, and they have soap/ fabric softeners/ etc for sale if you forget anything. Haven't had a bad experience here yet and will come to this location even if we decide to move. 5stars! read more

This laundry mate is nice but the Asian attendant is super RUDE! It dosen't matter how polite I am to here to her, she's so nasty towards me. I ask to use the restroom & she tells me " I'm not washing"...I literally have to show her my washer in order to use the facilities. Maybe it's because I'm blk. The LAUNDROMAT ATTENDANT. As rude as someone who doesn't care about or want their job. Came in before 9, she's already telling us to hurry up and that she's closing. Last wash is at 9. Then she tells me I need to hurry up because I need to put my last wash in by 9(multiple times)also their clock is 5 minutes fast. Then she tells me I have to use the big drier for my things. And then she comes and tells me at 1020 pm that she is closing in 5 minutes. Very rude. Would never come back for my laundry even though I live down the street. read more

The only reason why I have had to come here twice is because our dryer isn't working. I will make sure it's fixed ASAP because I hate coming here. They have had me take my laundry out of the machine before because it was 5 minutes past 9. They close at 10:30!! It doesn't take an hour and 25 minutes to do one load of laundry. You also get to watch people get rushed or turned away. If they want to enforce this rule, put a visible sign where customers are aware of this. I will happily drive a little further to be appreciated when spending my money in an establishment. read more

A necessary evil. As much as I hate going to laundromats to waste time while I wait for my clothes to wash and dry, this laundromat makes it much more bearable due to the free Wi-Fi service that they have here. Because of that, I can see myself doing laundry here much more often as long as I can Yelp it up on my laptop for free. I'm not sure how long this facilitiy has been opened but it looks brand spanking new to me. Almost all of the machines are brand-new looking. The facility was surprisingly clean without a lot of dust and lint that plagues most laundromats. The main downside is the cost of a load of laundry. The newer machines have four different temperature settings varying from $1.00 for quick wash to almost $3.00 for the other settings. The dryers are very big and depending on the size of your load should only take about 20 to 25 minutes to dry effectively. The cost of the dryer is 25 cents for every 5 minutes. I generally don't review laundromats because most are pretty much indistinguishable, but this one stands out so much that I feel it is worthwhile to write a review. read more

Been coming here for a little over a month and didn't have a problem till today. One of the washing machines was acting funky and not washing the clothes probably. The gal that works at BPL named Heather is super sweet and helpful! The place is clean, there are plenty of washers all around, they sell little things you might have forgotten (laundry detergent, fabric softener--of course it's not going to be cheap but hey who's fault is it?!), laundry bags (plastic bags to-go for like .25). You get it. There's also free WiFi and a seating area to use your laptop and charge your phone. Anyway I really like this laundry mat compared to others I've been to! For all the newbies: -Bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets- if not they do have detergent $1/ load and dryer sheets $1/2 sheets. -only use the big washer if you can't fit it in the small one. Idea is the size I put my huge blanket it the 5 load washer and sleeping bag in a 2 load washer. They do have four huge industrial ones if you are planning to clean out your whole bedroom. -save up those quarters! Prices for washer ranges from $2.75 to $7.50 for the huge one. The dryer is 25 cents per 5 minutes. (Try to use one that is still warm to save you some drying time ;D) There are plenty of snack/ restaurants around if you get hungry-they also have a vending machine if you don't want to go far. This place is clean and smells like fresh laundry :) They also have counter space with outlets available if you want to bring in hw or a laptop. read more

My go-to for washing my clothes, as my 25-unit building only has two washers and two dryers. I go here and do two loads in 45 minutes or less. The place is very clean and they are constantly cleaning it while they are open. There are dozens of washers and dryers, so having a section closed has never been a problem. I usually do my hw when i come here but they starts cleaning and closing before 10 and mop while customers clothes are still in the washer so wed have to wait til it dries to get our clothes. Then the lady closes the back door before 10 so i have to go all the way around to get to my car. I have come here many times, and it is always clean, and the staff are very friendly. The new owners and management have really worked hard to turn this place around. There are never any bums hanging around like there were before they bought and redid the place. I enjoy the free wifi- it's awesome when I have to work on papers for school. Two birds- one stone. There are also a lot of places to get some food if I'm hungry. The pizza place next door is a good time killer while you wait for your clothes as well. There is even an ATM incase you run out of cash to turn into quarters, which I have done a couple times. I have used the fluff n fold a few times.. I love that I can drop my clothes off before classes and pick them up clean and neatly folded when I am done with my classes. The girls always do a wonderful job! I've been coming here for a little over two years now and have never had a problem until recently. The place is usually extremely clean but as of lately, I've seen roaches every time I've come here! In the bathroom, on the floors in the main area, even IN THE MACHINES!!! WTF, SO GROSS. Instead of making all these new signs I've been seeing why don't they invest in some bug bombs or have the place tented?! Worked out nicely! Our washing machine broke with a load of my newborn baby's clothes in it. We had to go to the laundromat on a Saturday morning to do all the laundry and I was pleasantly surprised to find that while it was busy, there were still 3 machines open next to each other for our clothes. It was definitely clean inside and it's nice that in addition to the vending machine of single serve detergents there is also a staff member selling small bottles of detergent and bleach. read more

We went to wash our towels as our washer is not working today. When we got there all the change machines had "out of order" signs instructing us to "see attendant for quarter". However, on the attendant door was and "on break" sign causing more delay. After finally returning, the gave us change but offered no apologies for the inconvenience of waiting for them. After our wash was complete we went back to the attendant door and there was yet another sign reading "running errands". How can a business expect to operate if their machines aren't working and there is no one on site? I have always referred my friends to go here if they needed a laundromat. I was told by a customers over the weekend there was some homeless people sleeping in laundry mat. They' were not doing laundry. Don't listen to the 1030 closing time. Most places the last wash is an hour before closing. But i just got yelled at to take my clothes out of the washer when I already put soap in it. And then the lady went around to every person in the laundromat to tell them I'm "cheating" and that I knew I wasn't allowed to and proceeded to show me a sign that is taped on the window in super small letters that says last wash at 9pm. This has been my favorite laundromat for the past 5 years. Big, spacious, clean, and lots of washing machines and dryers in various sizes. It feels like it's never crowded, even during its busy times. Plus, there are areas to sit, plug-in your phone/laptop, and free Wi-Fi. There's also a mini arcade if you bring your children. The employees here are friendly and helpful; one greeted me and offered to help me choose which machines to fit my comforter and blankets.
