I heard the man (the one with the motorcycle, bald headed & speaks Spanish) being rude and dismissive to a customer trying to explain an issue with the megaload washing machine. What was weird is she walked away and he began explaining it to a completely random customer. Trying to have someone agree with him. The reason why I'm making this post is because the next person who used that washing machine had the same issue. It was a man and when he approached motorcycle guy he immediately was receptive to what the guy had to say. And that lady was still there drying her clothes and he didn't say anything to her about it. I just felt as if that seemed racist (she was a person of color) and misogynist. read more

When I encounter currency exchange machines in laundromats, I generally expect them to dispense money, rather than tokens without value. At least I am going to report it to Consumer Protection Agency and Better Business Bureau. read more

This place is great! Clean: 4/5 , they could dust and do some small detail cleaning. Cost of wash: $5.25 for a huge xl wash load!! I did all my dark clothes in one load. $3.00 for a small washer (average load) $4.75 for a large load. The value of the xlarge speed Queen washers is great! Today is spent $13.50 for one huge load, a carpet, and one small load. I would have spent $30 elsewhere, when I don't currently have a lot to spend on essentials. Wash quality: the large washers do great re: clean and spin out. All washers smelled clean prior to putting my own clothes in. The smaller washer didn't spin out as much, so there was a little more water than optimal left behind. Not a big deal. Cost of dry: $0.25 for 7 mins in large capacity dryers. I spent $2.00 total for three loads/different types of laundry. Quality of dry: The speed queens can switch temperature while spinning. Don't melt your synthetics lol The Wascomats you can pause, and must pause if you need to change the temperature of the air. I liked that you can pause those. Saw the new sign out front and thought we'd give it another try. Once inside it looks beautiful! Everything is brand new and kept very clean. Looks exactly like their other location barely a mile away. Prices aren't bad, $7.25 for the largest load 6 minutes for a quarter on the medium sized dryers. It wasn't even 8pm and the soap /softener drawers are pulled out for cleaning , vacuuming , mopping , cleaning counters / washers as if it was closing time . I really love this laundry mat. It is conveniently located by my apartment. It doesn't get too busy. I would say Sunday afternoons is the busiest. I love that the place is usually pretty clean. If it isn't clean, its due to the customers trashing it that day. There has yet to be a day that it was just opened and still is dirty from the day before. The washers and dryers are also usually always working and if one goes down, it does get repaired very quickly. They also have a water dispenser inside. There are a bit of creepers here so be careful. This lady told me last night that she saw one of the other guys recording me doing laundry.... kind of weird but not the laundry mat's fault... just be careful ladies. read more

Came here a while ago and the place was dirty and super outdated...90% of the dryers had "out of order" signs on them. It's close to my house and cheap, but after that I was sure I'd never come back. Well, came back today because I needed convenience and it looks fantastic in here. All of the washers and dryers have been updated, the walls painted, brand new granite counter tops, and a nice seating area. The prices did raise a little but you get what you pay for. They did get rid of the TV that was on the wall, but I'm not sure people used it that often anyway. read more

This is an ok laundry place. More expensive than other places I have been to but its smaller and not as packed as other places as well... so take your pick. It was a little more dirty than those other places though, theres also no attendant or employee there either like other places so maybe that's why. There was puddles of water on the floor by the washing machines and pieces of trash here and there on the floor. Because it's so close to work and not as busy (at least at the time I went- 5:30ish) I would probably be back to give it another try. read more

Well kept laundry room with plenty of washers and dryers. I have some large blankets and beddings that don't fit in my washer/ dryer at home, and instead of using an expensive dry cleaning service I decided to stop by. The place is clean, smells good, and affordable. My observation is that most people who used the laundromat while I was there cleaned up after themselves, however a few didn't, and let kids running on top of the counters. My husband and I decided to come here because there were less people. We used one of their 6 loaders, after the load was finished washing our clothes were super duper soaked. Literally drenched in water. My husband told the employee what happened and he tells my husband "there was a sign." Umm the sign was literally upside down and all the way in the back. You think people could see that?! What a waste of our time, money, and energy. My husband asked for a refund and the employee said "oh I'm not the owner I can't do that." I haven't used the machines here but visit often to get quarters. The location is always clean an they have movies/tv on. It seems like a family-run business which is good! I've seem the owners there several time which I nice to see...I would imagine of you have a broken machine or something that having them there makes it good because you can address the issue right away! read more

I love this laundry mat. I've been coming here for 6 months and I've recommended it to others. However tonight I got off work late and got my load in at 8:00. Last load time is 8:15. They close at 9:30. I knew I was cutting it close. Even so, I went in at 9:15 to grab my clothes from the dryer. The employee had removed MY clothes from the dryer (without finishing the dry time I paid for) and put them in my basket and left them on the counter. I grabbed my basket and left. He locked the doors 10 min early and left when I did. I am very uncomfortable that he touched my clothing as I had personals in my load. I generally love this mat but now I'm unsure of coming back. I will now have to take my damp load to another mat to dry in the morning because it's going to sit damp overnight. read more

I don't know why this place doesn't have five stars. This place is my go to place to wash my clothes. The owners are super nice when they are here, they have good prices for the dryers and they are always making the place better. I Dont normally write yelp reviews but I had to here because this laundromat is awful. I gave it one star because the machines worked at least . a single load of laundry cost 2.25 to wash in outdated machines. The dryers are also small and outdated and cost .25 for 4 minutes. Is that a joke ? The flooring in this place looks like crap and needs to be redone. The one laundry tub is sealed with duck tape. The bathroom cost .25 to use and before you enter you have the pleasure of reading the breakdown of the cost of having a bathroom available to the customers. They rob you with the wash and dry and then complain about how much it cost to provide a bathroom. Ridiculous. Thank you Mission Village Laundry for addressing some of the concerns I mentioned in a previous review. I don't know that my review mad a difference, but it seems there must have been some concerns expressed to the ownership. The water machine has returned to the original price of $.25/gallon and the reliability of the washers and dryers seems far better. Additionally, the change machine seems to be functioning properly. I think the owner is kind and helpful and seems to genuinely care about the place and his customers. I've driven from Hillcrest to this place just because I like the place, atmosphere, etc. Just a nice friendly place to visit. And the owner is really helpful and will make sure you're using the best equipment and that everything works properly - and sometimes will put in free 'bounce' sheet when I'm drying clothes. Also, they also have a place to purchase purified water so bring your plastic jugs to get them refilled there. I've been to tons of different laundromats in San Diego and this really is one of the best. read more

I love this place! All the washing machines and dryers are spacious and really get your clothes clean and dry. The larger machines are great for your large bedding or rugs that need cleaning. I used one for the first time on my last visit, and I was surprised how easy it was to wash my queen-sized comforter. The staff are all extremely nice! While the lady was very polite and courteous....the prices for the dryers was expensive. Typically a quarter should run the dryer for more than five minutes--simply don't get the money's worth. It cost us more than two dollars to dry a small load. read more
