Blue sky offers up a GREAT veggie burgers, fries and fresh salads!! I have tried their salmon wrap, black bean wrap, chicken wrap (ugh not so much) ...word to the wise don't be fooled by the lure of the sweet potato fries, (freezer burnt usually) just stick to the classic fries and you'll be very happy! I usually don't do reviews but when i came to eat lunch i noticed something. As i was waiting in line because, it was quite busy, i saw that the young man who was working in the middle drop a scope onto the floor of the kitchen. Then without hesitation he picked it up from the floor, stuck it into the fryers and then proceeded to use them to scoop out fries onto the baskets that he was serving to the guest. Needless to say i turn around and left and i don't think i will be returning anytime soon at least not if i see the young man is still there. Heard good things about this place but was a bit disappointed. We each had a wrap, I had the grilled chicken and black bean & wife had the salmon. Both were just OK and actually kind of bland. The black beans tasted canned, no flavor and the chicken and salmon had no seasoning to speak of. The fries were good as was the side of cinnamon applesauce, service was decent. The outdoor patio area is a nice option but there's a kids playhouse which is a little close for those of us dining without kids. read more

Must disclose first of all that they are one of my clients. Having said that, I wouldn't say anything differently than what I'm about to say. It's a quaint place with a very casual atmosphere. The restaurant name is the decor. One of the things that I enjoy most about this place is that they have a separate vegan/vegetarian menu. You have to ask for it and depending on who you ask, not all the staff is aware of it. Just tell them it's in the file box under vegetarian menu and they'll find it. I'd had everything on their vegan menu and have never been disappointed. Portions are a good size though if you're looking to get a honking lets get fatter American-sized portion then you'll want to go someplace else. But if you're looking for normal sized portions that will still be very filling, you're at the right place. The only thing that's a bit confusing your first time here is what to do as it's not inherently clear. But here's all you need to know. Walk inside the first door, then the door on the left that leads into the restaurant. Grab a menu, peruse it if you're in line and have a moment or take a seat on the bench and give it a look as it's fairly extensive. This is for those who don't need to isolate the vegetarian/vegan items. Order at the counter, pay, get your drinks and utensils, take a seat and you're delicious food will be soon served to you. I always get a chuckle (as I'm easily amused) thinking that the owners, the Pletchers have a business in Fletcher. Enjoy. read more

Service was phenomenal! The food and sweet tea hit the spot. My husband had the Carolina Classic burger and it was cooked perfectly and every bite absolutely delicious. I had the gyro and greek salad which i thoroughly enjoyed as well. We shared sweet potato fries which were nice and crispy. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Finally stopped in at Blue Sky for lunch last week and it was pretty good. During lunch, you order at the counter, get your drinks, then sit and they bring your food out to your table. The day we were there it was really hectic. Long line, going out the door and mostly full tables. They did a great job moving the line forward and getting the tables cleaned up as people left. I had the gyro on a pita with fries and it was great. Crispy edges and juicy meat and enormous. Fries were great too. I ordered the chicken fingers with cinnamon applesauce kids meal for my daughter and it too was great. Their kids meals are really well priced at $4, and they're a good size too. It drives me crazy when you get a kids meal from somewhere and it's so tiny that a picky preschooler finishes it and asks for more food... All in all, Blue Sky was pretty good. It's worth a stop for a quick, well priced meal. read more

After a long drive the blue sky cafe provided a delicious meal in a relaxing atmosphere . The food was reasonably priced and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The special was the Jerked chicken wrap which I had along with the black beans and rice. Everything was fresh and tasty. My wife had the chicken bravo wrap with cole slaw. Both meals were outstanding. The menu was extensive. We were seated near the kitchen, so I couldn't help but see all the good looking entrees coming out to the various customers. You must try Blue Sky. I live in Fletcher so this is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. I bring my friends and family when they visit and they also love it. They are known for their wraps, they have a large selection. They also have extensive vegan and vegitarian options, as well as a large selection for the meat eaters. I think the location is great, right between Asheville and Hendersonville for someone traveling on 25 between the two this is a must. For those with kids, they have a good kids menu. It's been a few months since I ate here, but when I did it was the first and last time. I'm only giving it 1 star because I must. You think with the name Blue Sky that it might be kind of artsy. But it wasn't. Basically they took a bunch of kids bedroom decorations and booths from a rubbish pile and threw them in an old fast food place. I'm sorry if you can see part of the kitchen from the dining room, it should be clean. Some people talk about how casual the place is. It's so casual, you can't tell who works there and who doesn't. Our server was wearing sandals and anyone who has ever worked in restaurants knows that's a no no. And another thing that really bothered me was one of the guys wearing gloves touching his ear gauges then continuing to make food without removing his gloves let alone washing his hands. As for the food, while it looked like a lot there was hardly any stuffing and there was no flavor. I had a wrap with black beans in it and when I opened it up, there were hardly any beans. read more

While the food at Blue Sky is excellent and it's a nice and quick lunch-time spot, their service is lacking. I've experienced some problems ordering take out from Blue Sky. It seems they close their restaurant whenever they feel like it as opposed to going by the hours posted on their sign and on the internet which is disappointing. And if you call 5 or 10 minutes before they're supposed to closed, they'll tell you that they're already closed and your clock must be wrong. But the food really is good and it's one of only a small handful of decent restaurants in Fletcher. read more

Very Disappointed....In there restaurant they have flyer all over to log onto there website and order online....well thats great if the menu was right and the prices were right. i ordered 12 wings with FF...online menu price $10.00......at the restaurant....$14.25....sorry what a rip off....and no one there was willing to help out for the mistake of there website.
