About a week ago I awoke hungover. Made a taxing journey to target before forgoing my other errands. My younger sister and I had but one goal, to feed ourselves. After looking over thousands of yelp reviews we decided upon Blue Sky Cafe, and truly, our experience there made my day. I was in the mood for something burgery (did I mention I was hungover?). They had a veggie burger listed on the online menu so I was onboard. We arrived at Blue Sky and were greeted by a very friendly guy at the counter. I ordered the veggie burger. "Hey, so without the cheese and mayo is the chipotle veggie burger vegan?" I asked after having already placed my order. "Eep I think it has eggs in it." replied the guy at the counter somewhat sheepishly. "Do you like tofu?" He then proceeded to ask me about my tofu firmness preference and whether or not I would be okay with a wrap so that the sandwich would maintain its integrity and not fall apart. He and the wonderful kitchen staff crafted me an incredibly tasty sandwich. I'm pretty new to being a vegan and, to be honest, I feel very uncomfortable asking for special service when I eat out, but the staff members at blue sky were incredibly accommodating and overall seemed really excited about the food they're making I would 100% recommend eating here as the food and the staff are exceptional. The food is always good, but on several occasions we have left because of how crowded the dinning room is and there being no seating available. The menu is slightly overpriced. I think the dining room needs slot of tlc. Not only is it terribly hectic, it's dirty. I saw dust bunnies and dead bugs in my window seal last time. read more

I love these kind of places, where it's locally owned, it has a ridiculously broad menu AND a kooky interior...but the service tends to be lackluster (my ex-waiter fella is never pleased with it), the food's not craveable or memorable, and I swear that every time I think about giving them another shot, they are closed. It's better than spending money at a chain if you are in the area and they happen to be open. read more

Blue Sky Cafe is one of those places you ask yourself driving pass: what did that used to be? From the outside, it's looks like a old fast food place: a Wendy's? Anyways, you do go in it, there really try to make the place look different. It's small, but the food is great. This is also known to be a huge high school hang out place. read more

The french fries are probably the best in town! They're hot, crispy, and overall delicious. We've been a few times now, and they usually have a decent special on some kind of canned or bottled beer. The food is good for the price, just make sure to specify how you want your burger cooked or you'll wind up with a hockey puck. Wow, this casual, unassuming place is a hidden gem in the Fletcher/Mills River area. The menu is amazing, the food delicious, portions generous, and the service is excellent. Plus they have an excellent selection of beer! During busy times, you place your order and pay at the counter and they will deliver it to your table. At other less busy times, the servers will come to your table and take your order. Personable, attentive, and professional. I love taking visitors to Blue Sky! It's a guaranteed hit. read more
