We stopped by Blueberry's Grill while we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach, and it definitely lived up to the hype! It was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were able to grab seats at the bar, which worked out perfectly. Our bartender, who was also our server, was fantastic. Even with how packed the restaurant was, our drinks and food came out quickly, and the service never felt rushed. We started with a mimosa flight, and every flavor was refreshing and delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the Fennel Kale Spicy Chicken Benedict. I don't usually order eggs Benedict for brunch, but I'm so glad I gave this one a try. The combination of flavors was unique and really well balanced. It was served on sourdough instead of the traditional English muffin, which was a nice twist, although I think I still prefer an English muffin personally. The crispy home fries were the perfect side and rounded out the meal nicely. The restaurant itself has a bright, modern, and aesthetic atmosphere that makes it a great brunch spot. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. Next time, I'll have to try one of their signature blueberry dishes!

The food was great and restaurant was very clean but would I pay $50 for 2 people again? Eh (We got waters to drink btw & no alcohol) The Carolinian Omelet had more mushrooms than meat or cheese..

The service was great even tho she made a few mistakes. Mistakes are forgivable because she was so pleasant!! My sweet potato pancake was extremely dense. So were the blueberry hush puppies. Not a fan. The eggs were delicious and I am not a scrambled egg fan. These were PERFECT!!!!!!

Plenty of parking. Ok for groups. Kids welcome. No reservation required. Many items to pick from on the menu. Food had great flavor. Prices and quantity was good. Very friendly staff.

The service, timeliness and food were all great during our Myrtle Beach vacation! This is one of our favorite places to eat in this area.

I've had Blueberry Grill before but my 1st time at this particular location. This time was just as amazing as the first. I had the Breakfast of Champions w/ sweet potato pancakes- chef's kiss. Everything was fresh and amazing!!!

I am glad we came early to this cute place because it gets very busy, quickly. We loved it so much here that we dined here 2 mornings in a row. The first visit, we started with the Mimosa Flight, SO good; blueberry was my fave, so I got a glass of that the 2nd time we went. Both mornings we were a large party; we ordered the salmon benedict, blueberry pancakes, blueberry waffles, Southerner skillet, Truffled western steak skillet, melting pot omelet, The traditional, and steak chimi and eggs. We all loved our meals, both days. We were also fortunate to have the same waitress, Bradyn, both days; she was excellent. Again, get there early, or you will definitely wait, but well worth it.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast, and a side of eggs

Went to this place to see what the hype was about. I was sadly disappointed. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was a bit dry. The eggs, just okay, a little bland. The waiter that we had never asked if we wanted any drink refills. Also, we ate inside the restaurant and there were flies swarming around the entire time, to the point I brought out my fan from my purse to try and hold them off. The ambiance was okay, it does get pretty loud inside with conversations and no type of buffer. Also I got the impression that there a/c may not have been working because it was quite warm inside, and I saw a few of the employees fanning themselves. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that I know, as all this to me was a turn off.

Perfect Brunch, I'll be dreaming about the Blueberry Hushpuppies. Best service we experienced in Myrtle Beach.

The bathroom colors matched my pocketbook.

We had a reservation and that shortened the wait time incredibly. The food was delicious and our server, Lay-Lay, was so kind! I had the southern skillet and I highly recommend it.

This breakfast spot has an awesomely creative menu. The service is really good as well. I had the spicy fennel & kale spicy chicken benedict and it was the best thing I've had in a long time at a breakfast joint. A must try in Myrtle Beach!

I wish we had this restaurant in Houston because it was sooooo good! It was our last day on our trip and we were on our way to a fishing trip. It was surprisingly very busy for a late Monday morning. We barely had an hour to eat, but fortunately we were able to be seated immediately on the patio. We told our waitress we were on a time crunch and she took care of us so well to get us in and out! She was quick taking our orders and went ahead and brought us the check when our food came out. As for the food, absolutely delicious! I ordered the blueberry hushpuppies to start. They came out warm and soft on the inside with a little crisp on the outside. They were cooked perfectly and the butter and compote that come with it really set it off. I loved them! I ordered a classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, grits and blueberry sausage. The grits were creamy and I liked the sweet and savory of the blueberry sausage. I was not disappointed at all by this breakfast and was sad I found it in my last day. I highly recommend!

If you're looking for authentic Southern comfort food rather than another seafood buffet, Simply Southern Smokehouse is one of Myrtle Beach's best-known local favorites. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a wide variety of home-style classics in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. One of its most charming traditions is that the staff periodically break into song, creating a warm, welcoming experience that's uniquely Southern. The buffet changes daily, but during our visit it featured an impressive selection including crispy fried chicken, fried pork chops, pulled pork barbecue, smoked chicken legs, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, banana pudding, soft-serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. The fried chicken was outstanding--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Personally, I tend to prefer barbecue with a deeper, smokier profile, so while I enjoyed the pulled pork, this is better described as a traditional Southern buffet than a destination for smoked barbecue. The homemade desserts, especially the peach cobbler, provided the perfect ending to the meal. The value is exceptional, especially considering the variety and quality of the food. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the singing added a fun, memorable touch that made the restaurant feel more like a community gathering than just another buffet. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of complimentary pocket New Testament Bibles available for guests near the entrance. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach and want to experience classic Southern cooking at a reasonable price, Simply Southern Smokehouse is well worth a visit. Come hungry, expect hearty comfort food rather than competition-style barbecue, and you'll likely leave satisfied.

It consisted of 2 deep fried soft shell crabs, 3 deep fried jumbo (and yes, they were actually jumbo) shrimp on top of a bed of various deep fried vegetables. It was a very different take on grilled cheese, but also absolutely delightful!! I believe you can't go wrong with bacon and fig jam on sourdough bread. And for my side, I wanted something a little different so I ordered the sweet potato grits. Do yourself a favor and try them! They are rich and creamy and sweet but not too sweet... Perfect! With so many good restaurants in the area, we usually try new places, but before heading home we decided it was time to stop in again for dinner. As usual, we try to go during happy hour when prices are a bit better, and we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly she greeted us right away, handed us menus, and took our drink order. The menu had changed a bit since our last visit. My wife ordered a Coke, and I had an Old Fashioned. For food, my wife chose the Fried Crab Claws with fries, and I ordered the French Onion Soup along with the Pork Nachos from the happy hour menu. While we were waiting, the bartender asked where we were from. We told her Southern Maryland, and when I said Huntingtown, she immediately said, "That's where I'm from." That alone surprised us not many people even know where Huntingtown is. When we mentioned the road we live on, she said, "That's the road I turn on to my parents' house." This was the first time we've ever met a bartender or server over 400 miles from home who lived that close to us. Small world. Our food came out and my wife really enjoyed her crab claws -- I tried one and they were very good. My French onion soup had a nice, deep beef flavor and was very tasty, but after a few bites there was a heavy pepper bite that came through. It was still good, but I had to switch over and eat some of my nachos, which were also good, though different from how I remembered them. I think the BBQ sauce changed the flavor, and the lettuce (which I usually prefer without) was something I should have asked to leave off. I asked my wife to try the soup and mentioned the pepper and that it might be a little spicy. She agreed it was good but said it would be better if it wasn't so peppery. A little later, the chef came out and introduced himself, Bo. He asked how everything was going. I told him everything was good overall but mentioned the heavy pepper bite in the onion soup and asked if that was normal. He said it shouldn't be that strong and that it needed to be toned back. Bo then asked if we had ever tried Mama's Soup, the tomato vegetable soup on the menu. We hadn't, and he asked if we'd like to try it. Not long after, he brought us another bowl and said, "This is Mama's soup give it a try." It was a vegetable soup with hamburger and a tomato base, and it was so good. When he came back, he explained it was his own version of his mother's soup. We told him it would go perfectly with a gooey grilled cheese, and he laughed and said they actually have one on the menu. It was really nice of Chef Bo to come out, check on us, listened and know something wasn't quite right, and it's being taken care of. That kind of interaction truly makes dining out a better experience. It makes the place feel welcoming, like they genuinely want you there. Yes, we will return -- and we were told that Mama's soup is always on the menu.

We got the fried okra, the mashed potatoes, the mac and cheese, green beans and fries. For the additional side it is $2.99 a person. Honestly, I felt the sides were so tasty & better than some of the meat dishes. The fried pork chop and the chicken and dumplings were not a hit at our table, but we did devour the fried chicken and get an extra order of ribs. We had no idea that this was a bottomless refill, but I don't know how anyone orders more than one extra entree because the portions are huge and quite filling. We were lucky to get a table close to the window so we could have a nice view. All of the workers were courteous & kind. They also brought out biscuits to our table while waiting for our food, and those are hefty and warm. Hooray for another good Southern eatery during our visit to Myrtle Beach.

We stood in long lines during their popular years for hours in the morning, just to get a table reservation for dinner later that evening. Crazy as that sounds, it was always fun because we had such great conversations with people from all over the country while waiting. We also enjoyed meals there during the final days when standing in a morning line was no longer necessary. So I can say without any reservation that we would have never returned if the food we had today was being served back then. Paula Deen's fried chicken once upon a time was EPIC. But IMHO, this current offering in comparison is night and day to the deliciousness once served in Savannah. As a matter of fact, we didn't enjoy any of the meats or sides. Our food experience tasted like an entirely different restaurant recipe and to top it off the chicken was overcooked and dry, something we never experienced at Lady & Sons. After sharing our disappointment with management, our bill was cancelled (except for my cocktail) and we left, likely never to return. What a disappointing end to a fabulous food era, because the food at Lady and Son's was one of our families favorite reasons to vacation near Savannah. It was almost always the first meals of our vacation, but the food we were served on this most recent visit to Myrtle Beach they can keep. On a brighter note, the restaurant interior is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The staff were friendly and our server pretty much brought out the entire menu trying to satisfy us. Each bite of each item was so disappointing that I asked him not to bring anything else, but he insisted on finding something, anything redeeming. Unfortunately, nothing he brought out was to our liking, but we did appreciate the effort. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] If you've never been to Lady and Son's, then the food here at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen might be acceptable. But I will forever miss what it used to taste like and the excitement my family had when I announced we would be eating at Lady & Sons! Management said they use the same recipes, but my taste buds heavily disagree.

We arrived at 9:50 on a Saturday morning and only had a a couple minute wait before being seated. Our waitress was beyond friendly. She was so helpful and funny. She really made our breakfast experience so much better. I wish I knew her name to give her props! (She's a teacher and lacrosse coach! Way to go, girl!) Within 20 minutes of arriving, we had our food. We all ordered the breakfast special. Which was so much food, but allowed all of us the opportunity to try everything. The bacon was super crispy as requested and delicious! The sausage was good, links were better than the patties IMO! I loved the French Toast more than the waffles/pancakes. Our friends really enjoyed their biscuits and gravy. We loved the barn/cow decor! There was even a real (alcohol) bar that we didn't see until we walked out! 10/10 would recommend! This was by far our favorite breakfast place we had during our stay!
