Great spot to grab a coffee or a quick bite for lunch. We were staying at the Westin and it was only a 3 min walk away. The inside is beautiful. The window walls bring in so much light and the lofi beats set a nice relaxing mood. Lots of people here working working on their laptops while enjoying a coffee. Plus the library is next door if you need a more quiet space to work. Oh the coffee. The Draught Flat White is heaven. So creamy and light. very popular brunch spot, australian style, which is rare in DC (i prefer australian to american brunch). a lot of avocado and egg-based items. nice atmosphere with large windows that let in a lot of natural light, but it can be loud, especially on the weekend on a sunny day. they try their best to get to you but because it's so busy, sometimes you have to go up to the waiters to catch their attention. they allowed me to customize the spicy chicken wrap as a bowl instead. it took about 20 minutes from order to food arrival. food was delicious and actually quite filling. the drinks are expensive, though, so it can easily add up to $30 per person. if you don't get a drink, then expect to pay around $20-25. read more

The food was good, but the service was really poor. I wasn't greeted or checked on at all. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, I saw a MOUSE inside the restaurant. When I told the waitress, she calmly went over to shoo the mouse away, which made it seem like they see them often. This place is cute and the coffee is god, but I wouldn't recommend it. Poor management means they're chronically understaffed, so wait time are long even when the place is less than half full. This time we visit it in Georgetown area in D.C. this location is sharing the space with local public library, which is great. The food we ordered was mostly great! Greek yogurt/granola was the best. Lemon pancakes were very pretty and come with edible flowers on top. Banana bread was fresh, moist and delicious. Avocado smash was good, even though I wish they use fresh bread for my order. The bread felt stale and chewy. I truly wish they bake their own bread instead of buying it. Coffees and croissant didn't disappoint. The revive was nice and attentive,but felt a bit slow. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. People were inside working on computers while enjoying food and drink. Looks like you used to order at the counter, but now there are QR codes on the tables and your order via app. Food and drinks came quickly. Can't go wrong with Brekkie All Day! Spectacular place to grab brunch and catch up with friends! The interior of this place is well-designed in regards to its charming décor + thoughtful organization, and provides plenty of natural lighting -- lovely for taking photos. The food itself was incredibly fresh, tasty, and nicely presented and I love how many healthy options are offered on the menu! So far, I have tried the Brekkie Board, Breakfast Bowl, roasted carrots, and chai lattés and was considerably happy with how everything turned out. The chai lattés -- iced and hot -- are divine and the roasted carrots as a side are delicious, sweet, and perfectly sharable. I also appreciated how attentive and informative the servers are. They have been consistently considerate, warm, and inviting every time I have visited. Throughout the pandemic I've ordered 1-2x a week to support the business. I've had every other order reimbursed partially or entirely due to a mistake. Mistakes have included: missing a drink, adding gluten into non gluten requests, being given something I didn't order because they didn't have what I ordered and they didn't ask if this was okay... it has been a disappointing experience. They've always tried to make it right be reimbursing but the drawback is that you go without a meal or a beverage because of their error. To be fair, when I've visited and ordered in person, everything always comes out right. But they can't get their online ordering right and there's no phone number to call to get someone at the store. That's a huge flaw. With newer businesses opening up in the neighborhood, it's hard to keep supporting this location as much as we have. read more

Was very impressed with my food! Considering my burrito had no meat in it, it was super full of flavor from the buttery sauce. My mocha was very velvety and not too sweet (just how I like it). I've seen several Bluestone Lane Coffee shops around DC, but came across their cafe in West End recently. Same delicious coffee, but with an extended menu for breakfast and lunch. Located next to the public library, this is a great morning spot to make for breakfast or brunch. Their iced lattes are always a hit, and my go to is iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Perfect balance of sweetness for me without being too overpowering. There are kiosks inside to order from yourself, and within a couple minutes my drink was ready. Service: We ordered on our phones, which made choosing our meal and paying for our meal easy. Our food came out to our table quickly! Food: We ordered the Brekkie Board, Green Baked Eggs, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and a Matcha Latte. The Brekkie Board came with the Avocado Smash and the Collective Granola, which were presented beautifully. The Avocado Smash was some of the best avocado toast we've ever had and was light, fresh, and came with a great assortment of toppings. The Collective Granola was tasty with the fresh fruits and yogurt. The Green Baked Eggs were warm, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The chimichurri and greens on top of the eggs paired very nicely together. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes had a great kick of zestiness and sourness that wasn't too overwhelming. Lastly, the Matcha Latte wasn't sweet and tasted very earthy.  Overall: We had a fantastic brunch at Bluestone Lane Cafe and undoubtedly would come back again. Our meal's presentation and ingredients were both of high quality, and the atmosphere was so cheery and positive. I met up with a friend here on a Sunday. It was not too crowded, and there was still outdoor seating available. I ordered the mocha. It looked nice, and it did not taste overly sweet (a pleasant surprise). However, similar to some other reviews below, it was not hot at all. It was barely room temperature. I would definitely recommend choosing the extra hot option if you order here. The staff were very nice! But overall my mocha was cold and the flavor average (although I appreciated it was not too sweet). With so many great cafe options in the area, this does not rank high on my list. That being said, I did not try the food, which did smell fragrant when it went by to other tables. Overall, it would get the job done if you had to meet someone here.
