Delightful restaurant. I came during the week on a Monday. They offer the option of either ordering at the counter or table service. I opted for table service. The outdoor patio seating is very nice. Small tables, next to their succulent garden. I ordered the avocado smash and latte. Everything was absolutely delicious. The gentleman who waited on my table was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant. I can see how busy and crowded it could get during the weekend. Parking: Metered, either street or parking garage. read more

This was my first time at Bluestone Lane in Manhattan Beach, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it! I honestly hadn't even heard of this spot before, but a cute matcha banner outside totally caught my eye--and as a matcha lover, I had to check it out. The inside is gorgeous! Super clean, bright, and beachy--perfect coastal vibes that really make you want to sit and stay a while. The staff was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I tried the banana matcha, and wow--I loved it! It's definitely on the sweeter side, but that worked for me. Creamy, flavorful, and refreshing. A really fun twist on a classic. If you're in Manhattan and craving a matcha moment (or just want to chill in a pretty cafe), Bluestone Lane is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back to try more soon! read more

I've been going to Bluestone Lane now since Peet's closed down and have been loving it. However, on my last visit it was very busy & there didn't seem to be anyone working just a young worker named Issac I believe. Although the service could've been better, Issac still found time to take our order & salvage our experience here at Bluestone immensely. He apologized to me right away and let me know there might be a little more of a wait than usual & impressively got everything out as quickly as he could. I hope this isn't the norm here because this is one of my favorite spots in manhattan beach. Overall, I love coming here and will continue to support our local businesses. read more

Didn't order food but we all got coffee here after lunch. My latte was good and decently strong. Ambiance was a cute little cafe, they played Japanese music? the service was great even though we just got coffee our waiter Uriel made a ton of recommendations, brought everything out promptly, and was just pleasant and friendly overall! My friend ordered the Aussie iced coffee which had ice cream and liked it. We had a fun after lunch coffee break and would recommend this spot. read more

Ordered the PBJ smoothie but substituted almond milk for oat milk. Was tasty, but mostly tasted peanut butter and no real hint of blueberry. The cup it came in wasn't even full and cost 13.00. A little pricey for what it's worth, but giving 4 stars since it didn't feel over powering protein and was easy to drink. read more

Bluestone Lane is this fun café near the beach in Manhattan Beach, California. What this café offers is a really unique selection of coffees, and very good foods. All of their food are very well prepared and have a very nice presentation. That's the great thing about this café, it really presents its food and drinks with a level of excellence. Personally, I always have one of their lattes whenever I'm eating here. They always do a very nice design in their lattes and they're always painstakingly careful in the way they create their coffees. The other good thing about this café, for you vegans and people that are lactose intolerant, is that you can get your lattes made with oat milk, so you'll get to enjoy all of the flavorings, without any of the milk or milk by-products. In terms of seating, this café has a nice interior area. You can sit inside if you want to, but they also have several tables, and a line of counter space on their exterior. So, if you want to enjoy the fresh ocean air, this is probably your best option. In terms of parking, you can find metered parking on the streets or you can park in one of the local parking lots. Keep in mind, however, this is Manhattan Beach, California, so on Saturdays and Sundays, the area can get fairly impacted. You may have a little bit of trouble finding parking, just keep that in mind. As well, this is a popular café, so there tends to be a lot of people visiting on the weekends. There may be a bit of a wait if you want to sit at one of their tables. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a great café. They're atmosphere is very good, the food is very good, the drinks are very good, and the staff are all very nice and professional. Great place to enjoy a meal or a drink. read more

This visit was amazing especially for my first time! We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the service was great they really knew how to take care of the birthday girl! The food was amazing and just how attentive everyone was made our experience even more welcoming. My friend and I will definitely be coming back and possibly continuing our meetings at this brunch location! I came here with my cousin and little brother. It was my first time, and my brother recommended the strawberry matcha. It was so good! The sweetness was just right and super refreshing. My little brother got the pumpkin iced latte, and let me tell you, it was amazing. The pumpkin flavor wasn't overpowering, and you could still taste the coffeeI highly recommend both drinks! The atmosphere was exactly what you want if you're trying to get some work done--calm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without being too quiet or too busy. It felt like the kind of place you can settle into for a while and actually be productive. What really stood out, though, was how friendly everyone was. The staff made the whole experience feel welcoming from the moment I walked in. Isaac made an excellent coffee--seriously one of the better cups I've had in a while--and Bladimar put together a really delicious burrito that hit the spot. Overall, it's a perfect mix of great food, quality coffee, and a relaxed, work-friendly vibe. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

My Big Bro and I don't get to see each other much as he plays basketball in Sapporo, Japan, so we decided to meet at Bluestone for a coffee when we realized we were both in town. Damn, that's how I know I'm not a kid anymore. Meeting a buddy for coffee is some grown man sh*t. We hadn't seen each other in probably 9-10 months, but he's one of those friends where it's like no time has passed. We both ordered black coldbrews because we are built different, and sat in the booth prepped to catch up. Bluestone's interior is flooded with natural light, has wood paneled floors, colorful surfboards on the wall, and is just squeaky clean. I'd eat off these floors. There was a Coffee Bean here before and it was lowkey NASTY. Shoutout to Bluestone they really went crazy on the makeover. Our coldbrews arrived with the little nugget ice cubes, which is objectively the best ice. No ice is touching nugget ice idc. We chopped it up and I asked him everything possible about Sapporo, from how many touches he was getting to if he had seen the Bourdain Episode from when he was out there. My trip to Sapporo is loosely planned for December 2024 WOOOOO! After about 75 minutes, I realized I had lost track of time and was about to be late for a zoom meeting so we rushed out of there. I loved my visit at Bluestone Lane in Manhattan Beach! This very quaint coffee shop is located a few blocks from the beach. The decor is everything a beachy cafe should have. Excellent lighting and bright colors which helped our dreary morning turn right around! The food and coffee are excellent. The menu is expansive and consists of all day breakfast and some yummy lunch options too. I got the chili egg scramble and it was full of flavor! I also got a vanilla latte with oat milk which was delicious. Our server was very sweet and quick. We did not have to wait for anything at all. Overall, I really loved my experience here! read more

I hate that I am even doing this but the people of South Bay need to know! I am a local and causally visit most of the cafes in the neighborhood on the daily. I walked into Bluestone today for breakfast. Oh man! I so wish I hadn't! I wasted my money, left hungry and soaked in the rain for a very odd and disappointing experience. My barista was super sweet and made a nice slightly over sweetened brown sugar latte!! The problem arose as I was waiting for my burrito to go. I see an open container of food by their register and I went up to the same person who took my order and asked - is that my food? He goes no, yours isn't out yet. 10 mins go by, he comes around and starts poking around the same box I pointed to earlier. He closes the box and hands me a cold burrito that was just touched by his register taking hands! Mind you, I had already waited 5 mins before asking about my food. So the open box sat there for 15 mins while I looked at it!! He handed me the food and I told him I will not be eating that and would like a refund. He ignores me and hands me the same box! I couldn't understand it!! How is this place in business? Shame on you Bluestone for serving food in the most unhygienic way possible!!!needless to say, I had to throw the food away which is the worst feeling ever!!! read more

I went to this location to buy Bluestone Lane coffee beans. I waited in line for several minutes & when I got to the register, I asked the barista if she could please grind the coffee beans for me. She told me that they could not do it. I've been to the Studio City & Westwood locations with the same request & the baristas have gladly done this for me. Nice ambiance, very cute cafe, love the bluestone theme, friendly service, indoor and outdoor patio seating available. Food: okay and overpriced for the taste in my opinion. My latte was good but not great, maybe because it tasted a bit diluted and watered down and I prefer my latte a bit stronger our coffee side which I've had in other places and it's delicious. Avocado toast: overpriced for one slice, edible. Lots going on. One may like it but I prefer mine more simple--too many ingredients going on. Banana bread was good. BLT burrito was not bad but could have used more flavor or sauce in my opinion. The bowl was okay too. Nothing extraordinary for me, but may be better to others' liking and preference. Really wanted to really like it, hence 4/5 stars. Nice ambiance for sure. read more

For example, when my sister in law asked if there was a kid's menu for her children, the server politely stated that they didn't have one. However, he immediately picked up on the fact that these kids were highly fussy and picky eaters, and offered up buttered noodles, something that was not on the menu. The kids ended up loving this. I, on the other hand, was disappointed with most of the food I had. If I had to rate the food, it would be 3 stars. I ordered the MB Post Burger, which comes with a 1/2 pound grilled patty, American Cheese, applewood bacon, and honey chipotle aioli, between English muffin buns. I added a sunny side up egg to it for an extra few bucks. The burger was messy, and difficult to eat. Ended up having to eat it with a fork and knife. I expected the egg to be a bit runny, but it was cooked all the way through. All in all, it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The crispy fries were not any better. To me, they tasted overly fried. The only thing I thought was exceptional was the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit with the whipped honey butter. It was buttery and crispy goodness. This item alone is worth coming back to this restaurant. Overall, this place is a solid 4 star restaurant. If you're planning on visiting this place, I have to warn you that parking may be a real pain to find since the area is very popular with beach goers. Things were exacerbated over the weekend due to a volleyball tournament. Had to drive around for like 30 minutes to find parking.

There is also street parking, if needed. This place was clean, modern, and bright and the service was friendly and prompt. They filled up our water pitcher when we finished our water without us asking, and staff checked on us periodically. The menu was extensive with fun breakfast stuff not typical of other Thai or breakfast restaurants I've visited. A lot of rice porridges in their Thai breakfast section. I tried some of my husband's and it was nice and comforting...I'm Filipino American, not Thai, but I thought the flavor reminded me of Tinola (or a papaya ginger soup/stew). I can see how it's regarded as traditional comfort food. They also offered the usual pad thai, etc. but we didn't order that...I tried the Thai Omelette over rice, my daughter had a peanut butter/coconut/banana/honey toast, and my husband had one of the rice porridges (pork/mushroom). All of the food was tasty and flavorful. To finish off our meal, we had the matcha bingsu (shaved ice) topped with sweet red beans. (I have friends in Hawthorne who travel all the way to Hollywood for their favorite shaved ice...they will no longer need to travel far for some really good shaved ice dessert! I plan to introduce them to Toast & Thai!) For drinks, I ordered the Thai Black coffee and my husband had an Americano. I didn't realizethe Thai "black" coffee was sweetened. Usually, when I order coffee "black", it means no sugar, no cream. Thai black coffee is sweetened with sugar (not condensed milk as in Thai tea) but they don't add cream. There was no description of the Thai Black coffee on the online or in-person menu so I didn't realize it was sweetened. The coffee was flavorful, but too sweet for me to finish. I saved some to take home to add more coffee and dilute the sugar. It was tasty, just too sweet for my liking. Overall, my family enjoyed our meal and experience and will definitely return with friends! I also asked for no peppers and to substitute onions on my main dish, but that modification was completely ignored. I didn't even want to ask again when it was at the table. On the positive side, the food was okay overall, and my son really enjoyed his chicken fried rice. It's a cute place, but they desperately need to clean up their service and attention to detail.

They're absolutely delicious and one of the best food deals you'll find in the South Bay. Their Spam musubi is also fantastic and definitely worth trying. I've eaten at just about every poke spot in the South Bay, and Ali'i Hawaiian Grill is the one I keep coming back to. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. We recently stopped by Bluestone Café in Manhattan Beach for a to-go order, drawn in by its prime location right on the main street, offering a beautiful view of the area. Unfortunately, while the setting and service were pleasant, the food itself didn't quite meet expectations. The portion sizes felt underwhelming for the price, and the flavor, while decent, wasn't anything special. A major downside was the lack of salsa or sauce, which could have elevated the experience. Additionally, the small side salad that came with the order was disappointing, offering just two to three bites, not much for a meal at this price point. It was good and the pickled onions added good flavor to the arugula! But again, just portion size was the biggest missed mark and would not recommend this place. If there is a reason one party is seated before another, especially when they checked in later, the staff should be able to clearly explain why. Unfortunately, that did not happen here, and it made us feel unwelcome. I wish we didn't stay, but kids we were hungry. But I won't be coming here again or recommending this restaurant.

Everything tastes incredibly fresh, the ingredients are obviously high quality, and the menu proves that healthy food doesn't have to be bland or boring. Whether I'm grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a smoothie, I always leave feeling energized instead of weighed down. The service is just as impressive as the food. Every member of the team is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. They remember regulars, make you feel appreciated, and create an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Finding a restaurant that's both genuinely healthy and consistently delicious isn't easy, but Love Life Cafe has absolutely nailed it. If your goal is to eat clean without compromising on flavor, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's one of the few restaurants where I never have to wonder if today's meal will be as good as the last--it always is. I took a bite and immediately tasted something sour when I started chewing it. At first I thought it was just the ham, but I'm not entirely sure, since it was covered in hollandaise sauce. It also lacked flavor overall. The only thing I liked was the poached eggs. The pork chop with eggs ($18.99) was extremely dry, difficult to chew, and very bland. It didn't seem seasoned at all. We ordered a side of gravy to help, but I didn't realize it cost an extra $3. I wouldn't have ordered it had I known, especially since it didn't improve the taste or texture of the pork chop. The pancakes were oddly eggy and didn't taste like pancakes at all. As for the hash browns, I didn't realize hash browns could taste bad, but these were mushy and almost slimy. Half of them were heavily seasoned, while the other half was bland. Even the ketchup didn't help because it only made them mushier. Overall, the server was nice, but I wouldn't come back here for the food.
