It's cute, and the service is friendly. But the food was mediocre and that's probably the best I can say about it. I ordered the breakfast burrito and added in the spiced chicken, but I couldn't believe how bland this was. It was as if it had no flavoring at all. I added a fair amount of salt and pepper and hot sauce and that certainly helped, but otherwise I was really disappointed. You should be aware that if you're coming here to work, I didn't see any outlets. I understand their location on the UES has plenty and the menu is the same, so if it still looks like something you want to try and you need to get work done, check out that location. I also don't like the fact that if you order using the QR code at your table, you leave a top right away like it's a to go order. Tipping should really occur after the fact but in fairness, the server offered to take our order the usual way, so you do have a choice. Anyway, I'm just one person and other people clearly really like it. So check it out if you want a cute place to eat with - and I'll give it this - really hearty filling food. We love that there is lots of plants inside the cafe. The staff was friendly and follow the safety procedures carefully. There is no paper menu, customers need to scan the barcode and place their orders online. The phone service isn't good there but Free WiFi is available. We started with Latte & Mocha to refresh ourselves and had their Big Brekkie & Brekkie Board with scrambled eggs for weekend brunch. It's a little pricy but the portion was great. I have to say, it was one of the best I've had in the city. It wasn't too too sweet and the flavor of the spices came through. I ordered the green goddess bowl and added the lemon chicken and my husband ordered the ancient grain bowl. The green goddess bowl was perfectly balanced with good flavor. The ancient grain bowl had fresh quality ingredients, harmonious flavors with chicken that was well seasoned and very tasty. The service was good! We were checked on frequently and kept getting water which is essential. The coffee: my husband ordered an espresso and I ordered a long black. If you like milk based drinks and dark roasted coffee then this place would be decent for coffee. FYI my husband and I are really into light roasted single origin coffee so this is a bias that works against this place. Other than that, this place was really good! I was just stopping by this location to get something hot to drink on a cold day and didn't realize that it's actually a full service restaurant. The other locations are only coffee shops with some bites to eat so I was surprised to visit this new one! I checked out the menu and it is not cheap but has some very delicious sounding options. They have counter seating and tables with full service. The ambience is also very nice with candles and a lot of white marble with natural accents. The waiters were very friendly and helpful! I ended up ordering the wellness trio drink for 10. It is basically a sample of 3 of their healthy drinks, including a matcha latte, golden milk, and warm beer drink. I loved the presentation and the taste! I would definitely recommend stopping in here for lunch or a nice dinner or even just for some drinks. We ordered several different kinds of items- avocado mash, warm chicken and ancient grains bowl (contains roasted veggies, feta, micro greens and red chili flakes), cami-rice with avocado rose salad (cauliflower rice topped with an avocado rose, poached egg on a bed of baby kale, red cabbage, crunchy sees with zesty lemon tahini vinaigrette). I really wish I could give half stars because this place is right in between 3 and 4 stars. The staff was nice and easy to talk to and answered all of our questions. The place itself is cute, an instagramable location and decor. The food was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good. I had the rainbow bowl and it was definitely good but not good enough that I would go out of my way to seek it out again. I love how colorful it was and it was filling, but I wasn't crazy about the sauce that was on it. It wasn't super flavorful and it was a little oily. But the presentation of the bowl was great and the prices are reasonable for New York. The coffee was tasty! They have so many different times of coffee drinks we had to ask a lot of questions about the differences between them which was fun. I've tried this twice now at different locations - the one on the UES and the one on 79th st. UES was good but the options were pricey and when I showed up, it wasn't what I was expecting based on the Yelp presence, which was more of a coffee shop than a sit-down brunch place. The matcha was appropriately earthy but a tinge bitter and I wish there had been an opportunity on the website to request sweetener (for the lay consumer like me). At the 79th st, takeout processing was very slow. I got one parfait, and I showed up at the listed pickup time, and it took another 10 minutes or so. That might be okay if I could have comfortably ensconced myself in an armchair, but instead I could only sit at a barstool watching the barista and hearing the whirring blenders and other equipment, having to occasionally scoot out of the way so employees could access the takeout shelves by the (draft creating) door and pastry case. It was uncomfortable, and then the parfait itself was good, not great - a bit tart. Bonus points for the trans flag and other pride regalia, which I appreciate so long as the management lives that creed which I have no reason to think they don't. read more
