I'm from the North Shore of Massachusetts,been in Az.for 19 years.We found Fried Clams at Taylor's Chowder House,they were passable,but they closed down and I had no fried clam places to try.I checked all the sea food places,no one had clams.Then I looked up Blue water Grill and Fried Clams were on the menu. Made the hour long trip to the Grill and ordered the Fried Clams,and I must say they were the best I've had in a long time.(I would say as good as any I had up on the North Shore of Massachusetts the place where Fried Clams were invented.) I used their Yelp deal for $5 off a signature cocktail and the Captain's Mai Tai didn't disappoint. The food was wonderful and we tried a few things. They had plenty of options on the menu for everything seafood it seemed. Our server was very attentive but gave us time to decide and enjoy. The cedar plank salmon was cooked perfectly and the only thing wrong with the crab cakes was that they made me want more. I'd come back to try more of the menu if I was craving seafood for sure. Had the seafood platter. The Absolute worst dish I've ever had any place. The shrimp was hard as a rock. They give you a whole lot of french fries but not a whole lot of fish. I also had the calamari appetizer once again the worst. Never go back there. read more

Came here on Easter Sunday and we had a wonderful time! To start off, the complimentary sourdough bread with butter was amazing. We even received some extra to take home! I had the pasta with shrimp and scallops and it was delicious. Others in our party had the chicken and salmon, they all devoured their food! We were also celebrating a birthday and were given complimentary dessert. I don't usually like creme brulee but theirs is top notch!! Overall, the service and food were amazing. My wife and I been eating here for a few years, Lately we have seen a noticeable decline in quality, and smaller portions. Water was brought to us in tiny glasses, with no ice and no lemons. After requesting larger glasses with ice, we were provided with them, but we should not have had to ask. We were planning to order iced tea, but when we saw how small the water glasses were, we assumed the iced tea glasses would also be very small, and it is often difficult to get refills. Although the food is good, the portions are very small. It would have been better if they had maintained their quality and just raised their prices more instead. read more

I stopped by here after my hair appointment in downtown Phoenix and I was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't been to the new location. I had only been to the old location off the highway. Anyway, I had the firecracker shrimp and they were pretty good! I also had a spicy margarita And a tuna appetizer, which was very good! I have been looking for a great seafood place like this! I only wish they had one in the West Valley. I wanted something special for Mother's Day and am glad that I gave Bluewater Grill a try. Everything was perfect! We did make reservations, but still there was plenty of great seating, even on this special occasion. The folks up front were attentive and seated us promptly. I did love the window seat, but the view was just of the parking lot, but that was okay. Tracy, our sever, was really friendly and the service was outstanding. We immediately had water with lemon and really good warm sourdough bread served. That was some of the best ever! Everything looked so good, that I wanted to try everything! We started with crab cakes and clam chowder. The crab cakes were good and the chowder was stellar! So that I could try a little bit of everything, I ordered the fried fisherman's platter and my wife had the fried shrimp. Both were very good! The scallops were nicely done and the shrimp were very large. By the time that I got around to the fish, I had run out of room. There is so much more that I want to try. This restaurant is significantly better than its rating indicates. I've eaten here many times and despite being in a landlocked state like AZ the fish is consistently excellent! This location is by far my fav out of all the ones I visited. Stop in and eat at the Happy Hour Bar 3-6 Monday thru Friday. You'll also receive a special course menu and their traditional menu. There are a few unique dishes like the paella that you don't see at others. Plus did I mention the sushi!! Couldn't resist went straight for it. The Phoenix roll, Bluewater roll, and the Senorita Roll. Sat by the window so also got to enjoy a beautiful sunset alongside my glass of wine. Staff were prompt and professional. Came here for a quick lunch and man I wish we had one in LA!! I got the crab BLT and it did not disappoint. It was such a delicious take on a classic. I ordered it with a side salad and even though it was a simple salad it was delicious. The dressing was a house made white balsamic and I wish they sold it because I'd buy it by the bottle!
