Heard of this place from a friend's post and decided to try it since it looked really yummy. Parking is a bit hard if it's during lunch hours but we didn't have to wait too long for a space. There's a bunch of other restaurants in the plaza so I can see why it gets packed. Inside is very plain and simple, a few tables and I think one table for outside seating. Staff is very friendly and after telling her it was our first time there, she explained how to order and what was popular. Ordered the traditional banh mi with garlic fries on the side. I almost left but found a parking spot right before I was about to exit. I ordered the roast pork banh mi with garlic fries. It took forever to get my food since they were busy, but the cashier was so nice that it made up for that. He personally went and got me spicy ketchup and water. Talk about customer service! There was what looked like a homeless woman wandering outside the restaurant today, her clothes look ragged and dirty. She gazed through the window with her hungry eyes for a while, decided to walk into the place, only to walk out immediately. "I won't have the money nor the courage to ask for food", is probably what she was thinking. Another lady later on came in with this homeless person, and trying to explained to the staff that she will buy her a lunch box and a drink. How nice! Why didn't I do that at the first pace?! This homeless person happily picked her rice, veggie and meat option and also ordered a bottle of Orangina. I got half coconut chicken, half garlic beef that was spiced with jalapeno slices, stringed green beans and the black pepper noodles. I actually shared my food with my friend and together we were stuffed. The green beans were absolutely delicious and so was the chicken. The rice was just a little bit bland though. My only real complaint is about the food. I don't think they anticipated many people eating dinner because they ran out of fish and beans and needed to make more. I do wish that the habanero sauce had a bit more kick but it was a good mix of savory and sweet in the sauce. The chicken was fried very well and had a crispy exterior and tender inside. Definitely worth a try. I also got the banh mi with the traditional pork ham and it was pretty good. But they definitely charge more than I'd be happy to pay for a banh mi and add in a side to make up that difference. I didn't really enjoy the garlic fries as much as I thought I would. The fries are cut pretty thick, so the sauce has a hard time penetrating into the thicker slices. If there's any time I'm thankful to have 6+ of us out & about, it's when we're able to try practically everything on the menu ;P We all got our own "meal plans", which come with one base and one side & prices differing depending on your protein of choice. One complaint I have is that they shake their [already pre-mixed] Vietnamese coffee to create foam, thus only filling your cup 70%... First time going there today after hearing the hype from a friend who also wanted to try it out. I feel like Blurr is basically Vietnamese-style Panda Express with the pricing model of Chipotle, a new spin on sort of fast food Asian fusion. The staff members were very welcoming and super friendly as we told them that it was my party's first time there. Even so, I didn't find the food quality to be that great. I got noodles and fried rice half-and-half base, I split my veggies half-and-half as well, getting green beans and eggplant vegetables, and the lemongrass curry chicken. Maybe it was just my picks or the day we went, but everything was pretty salty and not that flavorful. My friends and I also got the chicken wings. There were 5 of them for $6, which is a fair price. They smelled and tasted pretty good, but there was quite a bit of sauce so I hope you prefer saucy wings instead of dry ones! I used to love the Banh Mi and garlic fries! I would come every 1-2 weeks because it was so good. We even dismissed the many times our order was messed up for the great taste. There were times we made it home to realize it was the wrong order and they happily fixed the error when we drove back. However, the past few months something has changed. The fries have been inconsistent in flavor and our orders are still getting messed up, more than ever. It's been so inconsistent that we haven't returned. We gave it one more chance and we received two chicken banh mi's instead of one grilled pork and one traditional. The fries were lacking again as well. We had high hopes, but with the slight price bump and inconsistency, we won't be customers again unfortunately. I do wish them luck however. read more

It's similar to a Panda Express, in that you choose your base (rice or noodles), veggies, and a protein. I always get the garlic noodles and brussels sprouts, and alternate my protein - I've had the fish, tofu, and the jalapeño garlic beef. Despite the assembly line-style of ready-made food, everything tastes so fresh! They also have banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, wings, fries, and various drinks like Vietnamese iced coffee and fresh coconut. I like how the restaurant is well ventilated. The food looks and tastes fresh. I also really like the staff, super friendly and upbeat. Both items were delicious. For my protein I did half beef and spicy fish (If you like spicy, I highly recommend the fish). For my sides I did green beans and tofu (so yummy). I had the jalapeño garlic beef, garlic noodles and Brussels ( glazed in the most amazing balsamic) My friend had the coconut chicken, garlic green beans and fried rice. Everything was so delicious, the spicy pork was juicy and good and the basil beef was even better. We got coconut juice and it came right in the coconut. They have a signature habanero sauce and a spicy ketchup that is to die for! I usually don't brag about a lot of places but this place was all around amazing, from the cleanliness, the amazing food and Diana's amazing service. If I could give this place 10 stars.... I would. Luckily, we did manage to get a table pretty soon after we arrived even though it was during dinner rush hour. I have a few friends I just blindly trust when it comes to food and Darrin is one of them. Dude: You did good. This is a simple place. Small, clean, bright. Order from the steamed table with prepared dishes (which I did not try this time) or off the very simple menu. We shared the fried chicken wing appetizer which is plentiful, not at all greasy, and flavorful. A win. Darrin said the thing to get is the banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), so I did. The proprietor recommended the roast pork, so I did. And Darrin added a fried egg over easy, so I did, too. Another win. The ingredients are fresh, full of flavor, and it's a nicely stuffed sandwich. The bread is fresh (which to me is what separates good banh mi from great banh mi). I think next time I will get the fried egg not over easy which I expect will be messy but yolkier. I can't comment on the meat selection as I stuck with the vegetable and tofu (both oily). The garlic noodle is tasty, but also oily. The Bahn Mi is good, but not the freshest I had.
