Visited Blvd to catch up with old coworkers. It was loud but not too loud to have a great conversation. I am participating in dry January so I was very appreciative of the long list of Mocktails offered. Mine was like a cherry espresso martini it was pretty sweet the server suggested next time add another shot of espresso. We started out with the sweet chili cauliflower wings they were incredible crispy and such good flavors. We shared everything else we ordered The Burger Royale is delicious our bun was a bit dry but still good flavors, Truffle Fries are a must and then we also tried chicken strips so crispy and good. I came here for an event in one of their side rooms. Even though it was midweek around 4pm, the bar was quite busy. The vibe is upscale suburban American. The staff were nice and walked us to the room and offered the coat rack for our coats. As soon as we entered the room, there were servers in the room that also greeted us, pointed out the food, and asked what we wanted to drink. Very nice to get us settled quickly. They were also very attentive clearing our hors d'oeuvres plates, and refilling waters, etc. They took care of us without being annoying or having us to go find them. A great restaurant with many food options, from appetizers, salads, meat and seafood entrees. As a vegetarian their options included ordering from their salad options, flatbread with mushrooms and arugula, risotto, or their sides. The flatbread was very good and just the right amount of balanced topics, not too cheesy. Their dessert options are also divine, with the cheesecake special as the favorite. Service was amazing. Our server answered our questions about the menu and checked in with us throughout to ensure we were happy and water cups were filled. It's a big space with a lot of tables, definitely good for groups. It was busy for a Tuesday night and it gets loud with that many diners. Dinner at the BLVD [Minnetonka MN] Another great restaurant chosen by our local co-workers here in Minnetonka MN. We were a party of 9. We started off with a couple of appetizers: the Asian Sticky Ribs and Sweet Potato Fries. Our server dropped off some warm, moist hand towels on a small tray to cleanse our hands prior to eating. This is actually a Japanese hospitality tradition and I do like this nice etiquette. We proceeded to order our entrées: Margherita flatbread Grilled Salmon Blackened Pork Chop Chilean Sea Bass (ordered by 3 in our party) Jambalaya 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken Lobster Risotto I had the latter, the Lobster Risotto. It was a generous serving with many pieces of lobster meat. This seafood dish was impressive... very tasty, rich and creamy risotto that got me full with just half the serving. I couldn't finish... by the end of our meal, though, it was gone. Shared. I also had a little piece of the woodfire grilled Blackened Pork Chop, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Time for dessert! Yes, please... Blueberry Limoncello Cheesecake White Chocolate Bread Pudding Peach Cobbler Blackberry Ice cream Creme Brûlée Our party of 9 tried a bite of each dessert as they went around. They were all very yummy but the favorite seemed to be the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. As for me, I don't discriminate when it comes to desserts. I love my sweets. The restaurant did get full during the course of our meal and, of course, the noise level went up which made conversations difficult and hard to hear. A really great american food menu overall. Their soups and salads are delicious, they have good lunch specials, and their sandwiches are great. Haven't had an entree here but assume it would be good. Oops - forgot to take pictures until after we started eating... Visited here on a Friday evening for my adult son's bday. As I had done 3 years ago, I had the server order for me, and surprisingly, was served the same order of the best sea bass I have ever had. Son had the fish and chips, wife had the Walleye, and son no. 2 had the risotto. For his birthday, he was given a complimentary desert of chocolate caramel cake, which the 4 of us could not finish it was so large, and we were so full. Will definitely be returning. read more

And since it was my friend's birthday I understand the waiter catered to her. But to be ignored after he himself told us to order while my friend has said she still looking at the menu is a bit weird. I let that slide at first but I had mentioned wanted drinks 5 times, only all my other friends got drinks except me. As the only Asian in the group, I can't help but make it a "race thing". This place is absolutely solid. I've eaten here for multiple networking lunches. Never had a bad meal. It seems like they have cultivated a pretty loyal following and the clientele are repeat visitors (like me). The location is great (good for west siders and people coming from downtown), and the service is even better! Put simply - it is a classic with very sit-down upscale vibes. It may be overshadowed by all the options of nearby Ridgedale, but I'd drive the extra five minutes to eat here versus one of the bar/restaurants available at mall. The menu isn't super expansive, but everything seems worthy of a try. I haven't been blown away by a single item, but never disappointed. We came to BLVD for an early dinner on New Year's Day and were seated immediately. The restaurant was about half full at 4:30, and the atmosphere is cozy but not too dark. We ordered the calamari and half Caesar salads as appetizers. Both were great! The half Caesar salad was $6 (not listed on the menu, although the full salad is listed on the menu as $13). Our waiter told us that the Caesar and Bistro salads are the only two available in half sizes. After those apps, I was decently full and was only able to eat half of my flatbread. The flatbread was great, although the Parmesan on top was overkill and I ended up taking some of it off with my fork. The side of truffle fries was very tasty! I also tasted the Rigatoni Bolognese which was decent. BLVD is a great spot for a family dinner out (that's why we usually come here). Good value for the prices! read more

This has become one of my fav locations! I've been here 3 times now and each time I was impressed with their menu and the ambiance! The few times that I have gone, it has been with large groups and the staff was able to keep up! Note: Their reservations top out at 12 unless you speak with the large party coordinator. Had a really delicious birthday brunch here. To be honest I have had the most memorable dining experience at BLVD kitchen out of all the Minneapolis restaurants thus far. The service was impeccable, the ambience warm and fun, and the food was so satisfying! I got the crab cake eggs benedict and no exaggeration it was one of the best eggs benedict I've ever had! It was slightly less busy because of the holiday weekend so we didn't have to wait as long to get a table, which was a bonus. Came for a friends birthday and had a great time! It's a really nice ambiance - cozy, modern, and clean - and they have a huge variety of food and drink options. I wasn't super hungry so just got a mushroom and arugula flatbread but it was really good. Everyone else really seemed to enjoy their meals too. The staff were incredible. One of the waitresses accidentally broke a mug that was a birthday present for my friend. The whole team that helped our table of 10 was super apologetic and gave us a discount and gave my friend money to replace her mug. Only complaint is that everything was pretty expensive. Like expect to pay at least $50 for a regular meal with a drink etc. The entrees were at least $25-30 each. I would go back to sit on their patio though, looks super cute! read more

We've come to BLVD on quite a few occasions, and I only just realized I hadn't reviewed it yet. But we went again last night and figured I would now! They are currently requiring a mask upon entry regardless of vaccination status, just as an fyi. We hadn't realized until we were at the door, but they do have sanitizer and face masks right inside of you need. We were seated at a table towards the back, it was a nice quiet area and you can tell they have spaced the tables out really well to continue distancing which we appreciated. I will say, we went at 5 pm and it did feel a little dark where we were seated, there were lights hung in the bar area and a fire place, but we weren't close to either so it felt like we were lacking some light, but we also had our 9 month old so we prefer we'll lit places, had it been just us the lighting and ambiance would've been fine! Service was good, the restaurant wasn't super busy while we were there, and we felt everything came our pretty quick. We got the brie appetizer, we have had it before and really loved it. This time it was good as well, though we felt it was smaller than last time. The brie was inside the puff pastry and last time it was busting open and overflowing. This time we had to break the puff pastry open to get to it. Flavors though, spot on!!! The crostini plus preserves plus brie, you cannot go wrong! We could've eaten another tray of it!! I ordered the fish and chips, my husband the seafood paella and my mom ordered a salad. My husband devoured his paella and it's his usual dish here and said everything was delicious! I've had the fish and chips before, and this time it tasted fresh, good flavor, I wish the fish was a little crispier, but I will get it again regardless! The portions for all 3 were great, very worth the cost in our opinion!! Overall we had another great experience, we really enjoy coming to this restaurant. The ambiance is good, I think it would be perfect for a date night with the twinkling lights and the fire place. Our absolute favorite is coming in the fall and sitting outside, they have an outdoor bar and an outdoor fireplace and it makes the perfect fall date night!! Finally got to try this place after hearing about it from basically everyone I know! Met a friend here for Saturday lunch, and had a perfectly relaxing time. I love that the space has ample booths for comfortable seating for all. The plexiglass dividers are also nice, as it gives you and your party privacy. Our server was attentive yet chill, and didn't make it "all about him"-- like some servers have the tendency to. He had great recommendations, descriptions and conversation. As I arrived, I saw someone at the bar sipping on an espresso martini, so I ordered one and was recommended to try the Cold Brew Martini. It was fantastic! I branched out and ordered the Beer Cheese Fondue. Such a delicious unique combo, served in a fresh pretzel bowl -- like Panera but better. The Caesar salad was just "ok" -- nothing special. My friend ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and she loved it! It turned a bit more into a spicy chicken platter, as the bun wasn't sturdy enough to hold the chicken. I tried her fries and Gorgonzola dipping sauce, and WOW did those have flavor. The food was good, not spectacular. This is my in-laws favorite place in town! Located in a big box strip mall, I certainly wasn't expecting to be blown away by the food, but I was wrong. They have high quality ingredients that taste great. I absolutely loved my crab cake BLT, and I saw a number of other things on the menu I want to go back to try. We went for my brother-in-laws birthday and the service was great, made us feel very welcome and celebratory. Nice dark wood bar vibes inside with a beautiful patio to sit on in the summer. I have been visiting BLVD for years and always enjoyed my experience. From beautifully plated dishes to stellar cocktails and solid tap list to excellent and friendly service, there isn't much to complain about. My most recent visit was for Saturday brunch. I got the Prime Rib Hash coming in at $18 and a Bloody Mary for $12. The hash was delicious. A generous portion of crispy hash, tender medium rare to medium prime rib and perfectly sautéed onions and peppers. The BLVD Signature Bloody Mary was decently loaded up with white cheddar, shrimp, cured salami, dill pickle, green olive, and pepperoncini. The mix was nice with lots of fresh horseradish and a very mild heat. I strongly suggest the Royale Burger and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Two of my favorites! read more

Visited this restaurant with family for dinner. It was October and bit chilly. We were seated right away in the patio. The service was great in general. We ordered the Asian Sticky Ribs, Pull Apart Breadsmith Bread and Jumbo Shrimp for appetizers. The Pull Apart Bread was really good when it was warm. The butter that comes with this dish was good too. The Jumbo Shrimp was our next favorite. We did not like the sticky ribs. We ordered Caesar Salad and Jambalaya for entrees. For some reason the lettuce in the Salad was not good or crunchy. We could say it was not very fresh. There was not enough dressing either. The Jambalaya was one of their specials and it tasted ok. I have tried Jambalayas at different places and this one was definitely not at the top. For desserts, we ordered their Creme Brulee. It was not that good. The layer of sugar on top was burnt on one side and the layer was too thick to break in with our spoon. We had to leave out the layer of sugar (which is usually the best part in Creme Brulee). Overall an ok experience, especially for this price. It would also have been a good experience if they had patio heaters in the patio, especially during chilly days. read more
