I loved the comfortable yet homey vibes of the shop, with some cooked rice dishes in the hot tray and bottled juices in the fridge. With a buy 2 get 1 free deal, you basically get 3 banh mi for around $15 which is pretty decent. There were about three people behind the counter, one who took our order and two splitting effort of making the noodle soups vs the banh mis. And man... was that food fresh ! We waited maybe 20 mins for our 3 bbq pork banh mis, but that's a major green flag to show their freshness. The baguette was crisp, chewy, and so warm. You could tell they just came out. The meat was tender and seasoned really well, packed densely into the bread. I enjoyed seeing other customers dining in and ordering their noodle soups. tonight I decided to stop after work. I usually get chicken pho and tonight I ordered pad Thai. It was OK. My favorite is still the chicken pho and the chicken teriyaki sandwich. But tonight, when I'm writing about was the service. I give a five star to the tall shy young man that took my order, answered the phone bussed the tables and washed all the counters. HOWEVER, I give one star to the rude hispanic 40-something manager that was yelling at him. first, there were customers in the dining area. Second nothing that he told him was needed to be done through yelling. Just look on the young man's face. Upset my stomach. The whole thing ruined dinner and I'm not really sure I want to come back. Great tasting pho to get locally instead of drive down to little Saigon for. I ordered the combination pho and it was tasty. They give you good portions and loads of meat. It smells and taste authentic. They also give a generous amount of fresh condiments like basil, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts, and lime. I ate it there so the pho came out hot and fresh. I also ordered the fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls to-go and it was delicious. The dipping sauce is good. I can make them however it is time consuming so I'd prefer to get them already made. Service was great, the cashier is nice and the cook made my pho pretty quickly and brought it out to my table. With the recent colder weather, I have been in the mood for something warm to eat and I figured what better place to try than a pho restaurant :) On a Wednesday evening, it wasn't very crowded in here which was nice. We went in and I found it to be pleasantly clean inside! I ordered the M1 and had half of a BBQ pork baguette and they were both delicious!! It was all so satisfying and filling. The M1 had the perfect amount of noodles and meat and stew, it left me more than satisfied, while the sandwich was also very good. I hadn't had one of those baguettes in forever but the consistency of the meat was nice and soft, not too hard or chewy, and the bread was also warm which was a nice touch. The service was also pretty quick which I am grateful for, and the workers were really friendly and patient with us. I would definitely come back again! read more

Let me start off by saying I grew up near Little Saigon and am Vietnamese. Recently moved to Cypress and been meaning to check this place out. When I walked in I didn't expect such an "authentic" vibe. The inside definitely feels like a place you'd see in Westminster. They got some fried goodies in glass display cases, spring rolls packaged, desserts, etc. very home-y. The food is pretty decent. Spring Rolls - hoisin/peanut sauce is super authentic. Good textures and flavors. If I really really wanted to be nit picky, I'd say some of the veggies/herbs are a bit more catered to an Americanized taste bud. But still good, no complaints. Hits the spot. Pho Ga- good on a cold night. Good amount of chicken, light broth, and you get all the veggies. Keep in mind, it's $8.50. You'll never get a better bang for your buck pho. I was craving a banh mi and had passed this place up a couple of times. I decided to stop in and order a banh mi to go. I asked for a dac biet banh mi, the gentleman at the counter countered with "ham and meatloaf"? I said "sure". I did confirm that the banh mi came with pate, which is my favorite part of the sandwich. While at the front counter, I noticed a bunch of hot fresh food such as egg rolls, fried shrimp, and my favorite...pate chaud (This does not have any actual pate in it, it is a light flakey croissant type pastry with a ground meat filling in it). It said "3 for 5.00" so I asked him for 3. I was told I could get pork or chicken and chose chicken. I started scarfing those bad boys down while waiting for my banh mi, and they sure were good! I got the banh mi a couple of minutes later and took it home. It was a pretty good banh mi. Fresh bread, fresh crisp vegetables, abundant meat and tasty pate. Ordered bbq sandwiches - and the following day, the meat inside was already spoiled. We noticed something is wrong because during the time we ordered the food; the kitchen guy (latino) was the one making our sandwiches. Yes, he was wearing gloves but at the same time, he was cleaning the oil and sink with the same gloves. I told my companion that is gross because he is using the same gloves making sandwiches and then pumping the oil for clean up (it was 8:45pm). Well, the following day - our sandwiches were spoiled - meat mushy. So contaminated and anyone can die of food poisoning. Placed those sandwiches in the trash. There is no quality control when it is not the owner doing your meals. Do not multitask with kitchen clean up and making sandwiches. This is so salmonella problem. I've been eyeing this place for what seemed like ages and finally driving past it, I saw the sign that said grand opening !! My mom and I decide to try it for dinner. The parking lot is very spacious, so there isn't any problem there. I walked in and first thing I noticed is the variety of things they had. They had milk tea, Vietnamese desserts, ready made Viet meals and a vast selection of Vietnamese food on the menu. There are a few tables inside and outside for dining in, but the layout of the place is geared towards take-out orders. We decided to try their special beef noodle soup (pho dac biet) and their chicken noodle soup (pho ga). The pho noodles are thicker than the usual ones, but were cooked just right, not too soggy or firm. The beef broth was quite tasty and there were several meats included like the beef ball, rare steak, tripe and tendon. The chicken pho was decent. The pieces of chicken were boneless and tender, but my mom was questioning if the broth was really made from chicken bone. It was ok in our opinion. The overall experience was alright. Since it was their first day I could understand they were still figuring out how to operate and putting out dishes in a swift manner. The small restaurant is family owned and they were friendly. I do suggest that maybe if they can make a designated area where they put all the condiments/utensils and finished food dish trays, it would help with the servicing. I usually get Vietnamese food in the little Saigon area since I'm in Orange County. Decided to stop here as I was doing an errand out in cypress. I'm very surprised, the sandwich is good here. The pate and butter taste great, usually pate has a weird taste to me at most places. The young man helping me this morning was running the show himself in the front but my food and drink came out quickly. Milk tea also very good, get the combo, it's a good deal. Now please open in north oc, we would love to have a place to go or in IE in Rancho Cucamonga, where I visit a lot. I'd love to try the other stuff on the menu when I return to the area. read more
