Had dinner at the Dearborn location the other night. The wife had a salad with broiled chicken which she enjoyes. I had the small turkey plate. The mashed potatoes and dinner roll were good. The turkey tasted like it was old and was partly dried out. The stuffing was way too salty. I think I'd of been better off with a breakfast item. read more

This location has done an excellent job with curbside pickup during the pandemic. My orders are almost always 100% accurate. And they always include everything you can think of - plastic ware, napkins, crackers, butter, condiments, etc. - all nicely packaged. I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for them to come out with the food properly masked. They're always polite and efficient. Quite honestly, I've been even more impressed with the curbside service than I was with dine in service before the pandemic. I'm not sure if management or staffing has improved on that time, but I've definitely noticed a positive difference. Food wise, I've discovered the lemon pepper sole with two sides is an inexpensive ($7.99) and relatively healthy but plentiful meal option. And paying $2 extra for a cup of soup and dessert can turn it from one meal to two. read more

I love the price it was very affordable, and the waiter provided very good customer service. I had to ask for refills on coffee 3 times. the excuse given was that my first order was given to someone else who ordered the ident breakfast and had to place my order again. no apologies for bad service. Food is great as always! The purpose for my review today is to talk about on-line ordering. I placed an order for 33.47 and the food is great of course but I noticed on my bank account that I have been charged 7 separate transactions for 33.47. I spoke to my bank and they said, my money will be returned once the charge has cleared. So, roughly $250 has been charged for a $33 order. If you cannot afford to be charged 7x's the amount you are ordering, don't pay on-line! You'll get your money back but it takes a few days. SMH! read more

Very catch as catch can here. The food is the food, Bob Evans makes a good product, but for the last 3 times getting carry out at night, the only word I can use is disappointing. It seems like in the evening, it's nowhere near an A team. Customer service is nonexistent, the cashier/greeter is more interested in the phone, and what should be a very fast order, seems to take forever. (Add to that missing items... in one case dessert when my wife ordered thru grub hub and side items when I had carry out.... brought it up later to people there and was greeted with a blank stare....). I've always passed by this place and always wanted to try it but I hadn't, until recent. It's a really nice atmosphere, very welcoming and sweet, making you feel right at home. The menu has a lot a great choices, wide variety. Also there's a little bakery stand when you're ready to cash out and they have little desserts and treats, will be going back. So my family and I were all set for IHOP pancakes, but when we pulled up to the one in Dearborn Heights, we noticed there were no cars in the parking lot. (This was on 7/19.) A handwritten sign on the door told us that they were temporarily closed. :( What to do? I opened the Yelp app and Bob Evans was the next suggestion, so off we went. We didn't have to wait for a table, and we were seated in the back by the restrooms. Not my favorite choice of location, but at least we got a booth. I ordered my usual OJ, and inquired about iced coffee. I was told they don't offer it. Tragic! How could they not? I ordered the blueberry crepes and the cheesy hashbrowns. The crepes were not the thin, delicate crepes you'd think they'd be. These were thick and weird, and tasted like an omelette. That's exactly what I want, an omelette filled with blueberries and cream cheese. Gross. I scrapped out most of the filling and ate that with the thin edges. The cheesy hashbrowns weren't as expected either. I thought they would be made on the grill top and topped with cheese, but nope. They were like a baked casserole, and really dry. They were also topped with cornflakes. The fuck? I know that's A Thing for some dishes, but this was NOT the time and place. The flavor was ok, but that didn't save the dish. My mom got some sort of new peach pancake dish, and she said it was pretty good. My aunt got the biscuits and some kind of gravy/sausage/potato bowl, which she loved, and my cousin got a standard breakfast, eggs/bacon/sausage/pancakes, etc. She liked it. I like the food a lot but the manager on duty, "Debbie" was being very rude to employees and speaking on a very condescending tone. I wouldn't have as much of an issue with it she was speaking in a calm and collected voice but, the worse part is she did it right in front of the customers. I was trying to eat breakfast with my family but she came over to one of the employees cleaning up the tables and spoke like a bully while we were trying to enjoy our meal.
